I know this has been asked already, but I know that sprite changing counts as evolving.
So say I wanted to do the ''Shiny Seeker- Collect 4 different shinies.'' achievement and I'm on 1/4. Would it count if I use the Sprite Changer on the shiny and it bumped up the amount of shines I have? Thanks for your time! -------------------- |

how are changed sprites shown in the Pokedex? I only ever see 1 field for the Pokemon and I don´t want to use up one of my changers now because I am waiting for a special Pokemon to use it on.
Also: can I change the sprites of a pokemon several times if I have enough changers? Also: if I wannt some records of shiny and non-shiny sprites do I have to change sprites of a shiny and a non-shiny? -------------------- |

They're shown as the site default sprite in the Dex.
Yes, if you have 3 Sprite Changers, you can change the sprite 3 times. Edit: I don't quite understand your last question I'm afraid. This post has been edited by Darien: Oct 4 2010, 02:50 AM -------------------- |

Edit: I don't quite understand your last question I'm afraid. Well iamgine I have a shiny and a regular Vulpix. Now what happens if I change sprite of my shiny? Do I get an alt shiny sprite? Do I get alt shiny and normal alt sprite in my dex? -------------------- |

I get an error when trying to change a shiny sprite (Probably something on my end), but I had the option to select from multiple different sprites. I'm sure the dex would remain the same, as the site defaut.

There seems to be a glitch now.
When you click the dex and click on your alt form pokemon and click on the sprite changer icon, it does some weird stuff. Look it up yourself. -------------------- |

how are changed sprites shown in the Pokedex? I only ever see 1 field for the Pokemon and I don´t want to use up one of my changers now because I am waiting for a special Pokemon to use it on. In the dex, in the sidebar (where all the icons are telling you a pokemon's rarity, color, egg groups, gender probability, and whatnot) there is a new icon at the bottom which shows whether or not you have unlocked any alternate sprites. If you have locked alternate sprites, it's clickable, and you can view those sprites from the dex. There seems to be a glitch now. When you click the dex and click on your alt form pokemon and click on the sprite changer icon, it does some weird stuff. Look it up yourself. It works perfectly fine for me, running Firefox 3.6.10 on Windows XP. You might try either clearing your cache or performing a hard refresh (ctrl+f5), see if that clears it up. -------------------- |

[since Jeff saw this, removing the images due to having egg identification]
That's what's been happening. This post has been edited by Darth Krytie: Oct 4 2010, 11:16 AM -------------------- |

Yeah, I tested it on Firefox and it worked perfectly, for some reason Opera glitched...?

First of all, sprite changing doesn't count as evolving in any way. You're just changing the image of it and making it more custom to you. It would be more related to dressing up or setting a description. Though yes it does add an entry to your alt sprite dex.
Also, we're not recording which shiny alt sprites you get, so changing a shiny Vulpix to the same sprite type as you changed a normal Vulpix to will still only give you one new sprite dex entry. However, I suggested to Jeff that he let you view the shiny versions of your alt sprites if you have the shiny entry in your normal dex. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine?
