So, this seems not to be under the things not to suggest list, but if it is, my apologies.

Anyway, at this given time, we're going through a multiplier (which happen all the time, I might add), and you know what that means? Fucktons of eggs bred by you. At the moment, even with a Heart Sweet, you can only claim 2 eggs out of what, 15? And Heart Sweets are fairly rare, unless you're willing to drop a bunch of PP. Which means it's usually not worth using them at all. Not to mention, certain Pokémon (eg. Beldum) are pretty damn rare in the Shelter and Lab, which means if you're shiny hunting those, you usually have to breed them yourself.

So, yeah. My suggestion is, instead of being able to claim an extra Pokémon with a Heart Sweet, you get to claim half the eggs in the batch at that time, up to a maximum of 6. Heart Sweets would therefore be more useful during multipliers, with the unfortunate side effect of being near-useless during normal days.

Two things.

A version of this was already suggested years ago.Then it was basically related to novelties breeding 3 novelty eggs at a time. The only thing that happened since then seems to be that novelties no longer breed more than 2 novelties at once, while breeding output was increased otherwise.

We don't need it. When you breed eggs that you don't pick up yourself, those eggs go to the shelter. If you pick more eggs from your daycare, then fewer eggs go to the shelter. Either you can find more of those eggs in the shelter anyway, which means that the only thing you are doing is using heart sweets instead of shelter grabs, or you can't find more of those eggs in the shelter. If you can't find more of those eggs in the shelter, that must mean that other users also want the eggs you are breeding. Unless you are in the edge case where you are the only one breeding them and also the only one picking them up, which is such a weird case I still think they should be made available to other users.
