When there are too many species in the shelter and after many refresh I don't find the egg I'm looking for, I had this idea: an option to see if the species egg you want to find is present or not in the shelter.

I specify, it's NOT like the sweet honey, that only shows you the eggs you're hunting, but an item that only INDICATE if the egg you choose specifically is here or not, without looking if you're hunting it or not. No more indications.
It would be really great for eggs who are only bred by Alex and Thomas for example, because they are doing tournus all day long, and the species is not always here.


Severals options to do it.

-an item, paying with points, like the dowsing machine, who can be useful once a day, to indicate the user that the species (he has to choose only one per day among the eggs he has already hatched once) he's looking for is present in the shelter or not.

For example: "the [item name] seeks data: there are ekans eggs in the shelter" or "the [item name] seeks data: there is no ekans egg in the shelter, check back later".

-a pass power. But it could be for like 15/30 minutes and 2 times a day.

-an option on the shelter page, paying with points.

This seems like a good idea because there were times where I'm trying to find a Pokemon in the shelter, but couldn't see it until after I just refreshed the page. I would think it will be a good item if it was bought with an item, but has a cooldown of when you can use it again. I would say the item will last for like 10 minute then go to a 30 minute cooldown after their time is up.

Why not extending it to the Safari Zone?

I like this idea. Not sure what the best option could be tho. The item working every hour, activating for an absurd amount of Prize Points or only a few times a day for a lesser although considerable amount of Prize Points.

Prize points are so difficult to get that I focus on normal points haha xD
Yeah why not an extension for the safari, it could also be interesting.

I really like the idea of a detector, who only works once an hour for only one day, and get out of the inventory at the end, like the dowsing mchn, it reduces its use.

Or maybe like the odd insense, you can only use it once a day! It could be a bit expansive, ideed.

I agree. Some of the Kalos eggs(Like Froakie and Fennekin, can't speak for Chespin as I'm not hunting him) go out like hotcakes and I go through a lot of pages, trying to see if there are more around.

And there are some Pokemon who are just barely bred so that would be nice for that as well.

If you can only use it once a day it will be basically useless, wasting more points/prize points than saving you time. That's why I suggested various times a day with Prize Points as payment, since you could even search for Ditto and legendary eggs.

Well we can say the dowsing mchn is quite useless too since we've got the search power xD But I understand your point and you're right. I think they both have an utility. One for all day long, other for specific and quick research.

Maybe it can be both, an egg power (2 per day, tier 1,2 and 3), by choosing its name like we've got with influence power; and an item (one per user per day).

Yeah but I feel like PP as payment is kind of unfair because they are quite difficult to obtain and you're only getting a notification that such rare eggs are in the shelter. I think pass orbs would be a better form of payment and you could even set a usage limit.

Also, if you had this option as a pass power set for 15-30 min. would you be able to search for an unlimited number of species in the shelter within that time frame? I feel like that would be fair if you had a minimum usage.

If using pass orbs: A time delay is not obliged, just a limited duration is good too.
that's why an item is also a good balance.

Yeah I agree, pp are really too hard to get just to only know about the presence of the egg.
