So has anyone evolved their Bidofo? I'm interested to find out if it evolves into a weapon wielding Bibarel?

I'm wondering if it evolves at all. If it does I would love to now if the Bibarel has a sword too otherwise I won't evolve it, though everyone else is probably thinking the same thing.

i assume like the rotom, castform, or deoxys, you have to change the form manually

Bidofo does not evolve it has different forms which you can change it to after waiting 5 days, here are the forms:

Bidofo (Sword form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Lance form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Axe form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Bow form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Wind Magic form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Fire Magic form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Thunder Magic form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Light Magic form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Dark Magic form) - After waiting 5 days. Bidofo (Staff form) - After waiting 5 days.

From what I heard there is no Shiny Bidofo.

H a r u m i is right, you change the forms every 5 days and there is no shiny form for the Bidofo.

Commander Wymsy herself said that she did not want to make a shiny form for Bidofo, which is why they made it so Bidofo couldn't breed.

Sorry to be a bit of a grammar nub. But couldn't is past tense. And I just want it to be clarified whether or not it couldn't be bred or it can't be bred.

For all I know, Wymsy could have possibly changed it. Like I said sorry if that's annoying

Bidofo can't be bred, it's a non-breedable novelty.

It wasn't Wymsy who said that. She was RELAYING that Car=Bidoof did not want the bidofo to have a shiny form and for it to be unbreedable.

Thank you... i saw people with 3 or 4 of them in their party and just thought, "What!? They do know only 2000 were released, right? So why are they hoarding so many when they need only 1 and other people don't have any...".

I feel sorry for those people that weren't able to stalk the shelter the first day it came out for one (i was lucky enough to manage to find one by looking at every bidoof egg until i saw the 20k one)

Wymsy herself stated that there is no Shiny Sprite for a Bidofo. Even if you get that 0.5% of a shiny (of whatever it is), the sprite will be EXACTLY the same. Which kills the point.

I hate novelty hoarding, unless they're breedable and you're helping. others.

The best way to overcome OCD(or lesson it to an extent) is to resist said urges. I have Ocd myself, and while I do have the need to horde forms; I don't. It's not nice to take more then one, be happy you got one at all.

I doubt more Bidofo will be released; since it was a birthday thing. I really want that lance Bidofo though. om nom nom bidofo. Om nom.

How on Earth have people been getting more than one Bidofo egg anyway? I don't like hoarding but I wonder how it happens with an un-breedable event egg :S.

Well, my hypothesis [lawls big word] is that when people come online and see a random Bidoof egg in their party, they think, "What the... go away Bidoof"

And then they abandon it.

That would be more or less correct... people automatically assume they got a dummy egg or something and abandon it before they bother to really look at it... it does happen to look exactly like a regular bidoof egg after all, save for the maturity level, so someone making that mistake wouldn't surprise me (especially since some members don't bother reading/using the forums, thus not knowing about the event)...

All in all, i can't help but wonder what the looks on their faces are when they realize they just dropped a rare novelty into the shelter without a second thought

As for the shiny... i thought that car=bidoof said himself that he didn't want it to have a shiny form (along with it not being able to breed or being anything other than a sassy male)...

Every event has people abandoning their event egg regardless of reasons...As to people getting more than one bidofo...they spend their lives stalking the bloody shelter and getting all greedy.

I really try to but at a certain point i probably will have to get all of them. probably wont be until ive got all of the other pokemon though so for now i wont be looking for alot of them and just stick with the one i have.

To answer a few questions:

- originally I didn't make a shiny form, so there were no shinies in the original 2 000
- later on, Wymsy recoloured the sprites
- it isn't breedable because I didn't want shinies to pop up without a shiny form, so I'll probably make it breedable now
- the egg description is actually slightly different from a normal Bidoof's, if you pay attention, you'll spot the difference

Well, if you're going to make it breedable, how are we able to tell the difference from a Normal Bidoof...? o.o;;;;

I was wondering the exact same thing... even if you do have a silph scope, the eggs look exactly the same, so you won't be able to tell if you bred a bidofo unless they add in being able to hover over it to view maturity... and yay, it has eggs groups now (ground and humanshape), so i'm fairly sure it's breedable now~

It is breedable but you still can't tell the difference between the eggs. I know in the description there is but we don't get the description or maturity on the egg with the scope.
