Heh, I don't have an iPod/MP3 Player, but if I did I would do it.

For now I have Portal, Plants vs Zombies, and Pokemon/PMD songs on the playlist on grandma's laptop.

Yeah, I do it with some of the older stuff from the original Sonic the Hedgehog games, along with some stuff from Pokemon and one instance of Still Alive.

2/3 of the MP3s from Pokemon that I have on my Walkman are from PMD:EoS. My cousin has large amounts of LoZ music on his 3DS, and Kingdom Hearts... Well, neither of us has really played the full version of any of those games, but I have played the free downloadable demo for the 3DS one, and I have only one thing to say: Me gusta... You, ma'am, have excellent tastes.

I only have the official Minecraft soundtrack on my iPod, but I plan on putting Assassin's Creed and PMD music on there. And possibly TF2. OK, and maybe L4D2? :P

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have a fair number of movie and television soundtracks. Star Wars, Airwolf, Battlestar Galactica, The Last Starfighter, and Buckaroo Banzai, to be more specific. Also have some stuff from Homestuck, but that's beside the point.
Anyway, I'm going to get back on topic. I'm currently hunting down a good copy of Throw it All Away, and, unfortunately, I can't find anything from Sonic 2 because Sonic Retro has stopped hosting those MP3 files.

Omg. The music from Sonic generation is awesome. I would put Crisis city classic and Modern in there because I love how they use the guitar and the violin kicks some serious ass

Super Paper Mario has some good music. Pokemon, of course. Also I love the soundtrack from the game Bloody Roar. It's rad.

Yeah, they did Generations right and put some butt-kicking music in there. I've unlocked ALL the music on my copy. Trust me, if you have the 3DS version and you want to do all the missions, you had better be prepared to walk your legs off.

Most of the music I listen to is from video games. It's mostly spattered across the board too... Way too many different game series, systems, and singles. Let's see if I can think of most of them:
Mario games (Kart, Party, Paper, etc)
Sonic (Especially the older games, and creating maybe 1/3 of my library)
Final Fantasy (A majority of it is the Tactics subseries)
Twisted Metal
Fire Emblem
N64 Rare games
Pokemon (All gens, and Colosseum/Puzzle League/TCG)
Some Kongregate games, such as Starwish
MegaMan

And a whole bunch of others.

I used to have a lot more game music on my mp3 player until I switched models. Right now, it's mostly FFXIII and FFXIII-2 as well as Okami and - not original Zelda music - but remixes. There are a ton of absolutely fantastic remixes and arrangements of Legend of Zelda music out there! And not necessarily from OverClocked Remix either. As for FFXIII, I love how they incorporated vocals into a lot of the looping overworld tracks. Can't stop listening to New Bodhum. Also, I have a lot of FF orchestral arrangements courtesy of the concerts (Distant Worlds, Voices, Black Mages, etc.).

Along with several others I'm sure I'm forgetting. But instrumental movie/game music makes up most of my iPhone, I'm proud to say.

Out of the 120 GB that my iPod Classic has to work with, nearly all of it is video game music. I can count on both hands the amount of "mainstream" music I keep for the sake of high school memories.

I have over 20 gb of music on my computer and my iPod, and my collection spans all sorts of genres. I do indeed have loads and loads of video game music. xD I have music from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, many Sonic games, several Final Fantasies, some Ace Combat games, Psychonauts, some remixes from Overclocked, various songs from DDR and other rhythm games, stuff from the Silent Hill series... and I'm sure bits and pieces of other things.

I don't really own an ipod, but yes, most of my songs are from games. Can you blame me though? Play any game, and there's awesome songs (sunleth waterscape from FFXIII for example) and I can guarantee that it will be better than most songs that are out these days.

Shove video game music into my IPOD? Well... Yeah! Of course! As soon as I got the 25th Anniversary disk for The Legend of Zelda, I shoved that onto my IPOD, then began shoving other video game music into it. I think, so far, I've got:

Legend of Zelda
Kingdom Hearts (plus remixes)
Portal (just the first one, though)
and one song from a Digimon game, though can't remember which one off the top of my head.

Also have some music from animes that I watch, such as:

Soul Eater
Fullmetal Alchemist
Chobits
Ouran High School Host Club

And others I care not to mention because I'm too lazy.

Basically, if I play a game often enough and enjoy it enough, something from it will end up on my iPod. These games (give or take a few) are the ones I end up posting the most often in video game discussions, and a major part of their charm is the music. Without it, or if you replaced it, they just wouldn't be the same.

I'm really confused about one thing, though: I don't know whether EA's sports and racing games count. I've discovered a ton of music and artists from their games, and they ultimately got me into Indie and Punk, my two favorite genres of all time. All of the music they use in those games is "real", though, and not specially made for those games. I guess they deserve an honorable mention or something. XD

I have three songs from the Portal series (one from Portal 1, the other two from Portal 2) and the entire Journey soundtrack.

i don't have a lot of vidya music on my ipod.
Also I really recommend Journey, it's a great game, if a bit short. Just don't watch a playthrough of it, it'll totally ruin the whole thing. take the advice of the random internet stranger
