Currently on haitus, and not accepting new requests. We apologise for the inconvience

The building is huge, much larger than those surrounding it; it stretches up into the sky, possibly higher than could ever be seen. There's a sign, bold and impressive, over the ornate double doors: The Shop of Impossible Things.

Inside, the lobby seems larger than anything that could have fit on the ground floor of the building; for some reason, you find this unsurprising. A friendly, cheerful young lady at a desk helpfully points you towards a list of floors, and then goes back to reading her book, 'The Idiot's Guide to Minioning; Your Evil Master and You'. This does strike you as rather odd, although, you suppose, the name tag reading HenchWench Number 13 possibly should have tipped you off.

You can see from the floor directory that there are no department names - instead, each floor has the name of a person, and then a 'speciality'. This looks like an interesting place.
The lift is shiny and new, and thankfully does not have any terrible, mind numbing music playing. The buttons are marked with floor numbers; there another directory in here, posted to the wall, to help your memory.

So, which floor are we going to today?



Welcome

To the Shop of Impossible things. Apologies for the rather pretentious opening. Just setting the scene.
Now, an explanation: what we have here at the shop are the elite; the supreme; the very shiny. People have to pass a standard to work here. As such, we expect perfect behaviour from both staff and customers, and are unusually strict over rules. Rules? Ah, yes, those dreaded things; well, we all need to be goverened by something, don't we? The shop has a basic, catch all set of rules that should be obeyed by everyone, but some workers may also have their own rules for if you are requesting from them; these will be in their worker's area, so be sure not to miss them.

Rule#1:
Manners. Be polite, understanding of any delays, don't rush workers, don't insult workers of other customers, and generally treat everyone with respect. The extension to this is language - let's keep swearing to a minimum. And while we're being polite to others, let's be polite to the world; I don't want any racism, sexism, or any other isms for that matter.

Rule#2:
Always use request forms provided by the worker. If you don't, you will not be informed; you will simply be ignored. Any request not using the proper forms will ever be taken.

Rule#4:
Give credit. Always. I cannot stress this enough; people take their time and effort over these requests, which they do not have to do, and if all they ask in return is a single line of credit, then you had better give it to them.

Rule#5:
This may seem a little harsh; deal with it. Anyone using chat speak in this shop will be ignored, or turned down for a request. I define chat speak as lazy, cutting of corners when typing - it's no harder to type the word 'you' than it is to type the letter 'u'. We're not expecting golden standards of spelling and grammar, but 'I' standing alone is a capital letter, 'k' is not a subsitute for 'okay', and 'plz' is just a random scattering of letters for all I care. I know, I'm a massive elitist snob, but it's not like we're using phone keyboards, here. Typing is even quicker and easier than writing manually, and Goddess knows people have been doing that long hand since they invented civilisation.

Rule#6:
If in doubt, don't.
I'm serious. Just don't do it. And watch out for 3. He's a tricksy one. (Running jokes require running with)

There, now, those rules shouldn't be too hard to follow, should they?

All that is left for me to do now is open the doors requests; worker areas will be in the next few posts, so go ahead and look around, find what you want, and request away.

Base: frlgeM 4,1
Description: I would like his hair flattened down a bit, removing some of the spikes. Have the purple lines removed. Remove the tie so as to show the shirt. Cover his right hand with a dagger beginning from about the gray zone on the arm, ending about an extra hand after the hand. Make the dagger black, but gray on the edge, and give small spikes near the base. Put a metal ball on the ground near his left foot, and attach it by chain trough his hand and from there into his pocket on the left side.

I understand that chains are a pain to draw, but in terms of spriting, I have no idea, so I will go with the assumption that it is just as annoying, if not more so, and apologize in advance.

I only ask because I don't want to make a habit of this, really.

Mintwing, I don't do fully scratched sprites, because I'm not that good. If you can think of a Pokemon that would be fairly easy to edit to look like your fakemon, I can do that, but not a sprite entirely from scatch.

Base refers to which sprite from the games you want it based on - though I'd assume Gary, since that's what the original was based on?
Anyways, my insomnia was kicking my arse last night, so I don't know if I have the concentration to sprite today; if not, I'll try and get this done tomorrow.

Nah, I prefer to take requests all the time and just have endless slots, as it were. I don't want to refuse requests, so I just make sure people know they may have to wait.

I'm actually terrible at art; I can't draw at all. Pixel art is different in that it's about precision and practice, more than anything else; I do almost everything one pixel at a time, so it doesn't bare much resemblence to drawing.

@Pink Sparkle (Can I call you Sparkle?): Yeah, I know being a perfectionist can be a good thing, but you also have to learn where to draw the lines and say 'no, I'm not going to realistically be able to make it better than this without pointing in more work than is really worth it.'
Like, if you can make it better by putting in ten minutes more work, then great, do that. But if you'd have to start completey from scratch and do it all over again... that's when you need to take a step back and ask if it's really bad enough to warrant that.

@Mina: All of the female overworlds look a little angry, and I have no idea why. Most of the males do, too, to be honest...

So I know I haven't posted in ages; I'm working on Lockette's trainer, which is not only really complicated, but also animated, so it needs three times as much work. So, yeah, that's why I'm taking so long.

Okay, so for the past week or so, this thing has been my WIP baby. It was one of the more time consuming and complex things I've ever done, but I really had fun with it (when I wasn't tearing my hair out)
I like the first frame the best, for some reason; possibly because the other two frames should eb more consistant, and I hate that they're not, but that's what you get with complicated designs. It's another of my perfectionist things, and I actually did edit them at the very last second to make it closer, but in the end this isn't perfect, so sorry about that.

I hope you're as pleased with her as I am, which is to say very pleased, and I'll do the rest of your requests when I've gone 'round the list again, so I don't leave anyone waiting for weeks (and so I get a little variety). That'll probably take about a week, I should think.

First, WHAT?! None of that makes any sense WHAT-so-EVER.
Second, you destroyed her forms.
Third, you seem to have smashed like 5 request forms together into one jumbled up mess.
Fourth, if you don't care who does it, why did you ATTEMPT to use Bob's form?

You have to use one form for each thing you are requesting. That means, if you want a gijinka, you need to use the gijinka form, one for each gijinka you would like. If you want a mugshot, you have to use the mugshot form.
ALSO, saying that you want the base for the mugshot to be Chuck, which is what I am assuming is what you meant by that, doesn't work... you have to open up her mugshot page and use the codes to tell her WHICH trainer you want. She doesn't know them by names, that's why she has a SYSTEM in place. It would be nice to see people USE her system that she spent so long setting up.

Another thing: READ THE RULES!!!!
Rules are there for a reason, they tell you important things. Like, why you are being ignored, or what a running joke is/is for.

And yet, you STILL didn't read the rules, or listen to the one person trying to HELP you...... You have to use her system. Like I said, she DOESN'T know the trainers by their NAMES, that's WHY she has a system in place.
You want a mugshot, go find the link to the mugshot trainer options, AND USE HER SYSTEM. You need to post the code for the person you want. Otherwise, she'll just ignore you, since it says in her rules that if you don't FOLLOW her rules, you'll get ignored.

Now, I hope that if you still want something from her, you will listen to me and read her rules.

My list is pretty long at the moment, so it may be a week or so until I get to you (or longer. Have I had anyone waiting for longer than that yet?) - though I'm going to try and really get a lot of things done on... Thursday, probably, unless something comes up.

Phew, that's a relief. I wasn't sure whether to put the code first with a hyphon next to the numbers, or to leave the gap as I did, or whether to simply stick them next to eachother, but I guess it all worked out in the end which is the important thing

Don't worry about finishing it quickly, it's not like I'm in any rush considering how slow PANE moves anyway (plus, the sprite isn't completely necessesary anyway...). Obviously though, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't appreciate it if you could finish it relatively quickly

Ah so he is named Nate, such a nice little fella, he wouldn't happen to evolve would he? It would be interesting to see that (that's not a request by the way, just wondering if you could refer me to a sprite, if it at all existed).

Sadly, Nate was a scrawny little techie kid, and never evolved (yeah, he was a human who could turn into a Pokemon because of mad science. *sage nod* I'm cool). It'd be interesting to make a Ninetales version of him one day, though... hmm...

(By the way, any of those presentations of the code would have been acceptable; also if you'd said something like 'the first male one', though I dislike when people do that. Basically, as long as you make it clear which sheet, I'm a happy squizzle.)

@Mina: Glad you like her; it's was pretty fun to do. I kind of like Overworlds...

Have fielded that suggestion before:
a; I dislike turning people down; as long as they're willing to wait, I don't want to say no to people. So I just tell them it'll be a wait. After all, if I had a list and they had to wait for a free spot, they may well end up waiting longer, mightn't they?
b; I'm not keeping up a waiting list on the first post. Editing the first post everytime I accepted or finished a request would be a nightmare.

@Hokeypoke: That ref. pic doesn't give a great idea of what his hair is like; could I get a little description or something?
Also (and I could do this myself, but since I needed to clarify something anyway...), I'm pretty terrible when it comes to spriting clothes from my mind... could I possibly get a picture of the kind of clothing you want? If you don't really mind (or can't be bothered to trawl the web for pictures, I understand the feeling), I'll do a quick search for suits and go from there, but I thought you might have a preference for style or something.
(Other than that all I have to say is: you picked a base with hair over one eye, now I has to try and sprite an eye. Have never done this before. Not an complaint, don't worry about it, just an observation.)

@ALoopyDuck: Technically that's a gijinka, but, eh, you made it fairly clear so I don't mind so much. So it's on the list. It may take a while for me to get to you, because I have a long list and the moment and insomnia is killing me slowly, so I don't have a lot of focus or motivation.
One thing, though; would you please edit your request so the base sprite link is actually a link? It's just quicker for me if I don't have to copy/paste it.

Sorry about the bad hair reference. http://i54.tinypic.com/2ut3ud4.jpg is a reference that might be a bit better for the hair, though he's chibified. I would describe his hair as medium length, shaggy and uneven at the ends, but smooth around the top and sides (kinda like a bowl cut, lol). His hair will also be that same grayish-blue that is in the above chibi ref. But, uh, the thing is that I may have a take a few days off of spriting. I'm having to deal with something that's making something that should be easy and exciting into something frustrating and difficult, and it's not exactly putting me in a good frame of mind to be doing anything other than trying to make myself feel better.

I'd like to make a disclaimer: just because I'm posting again does not mean everything that was eating at me has been fixed and I'll be churning out sprites at record speeds. Description: Okay, I don't have any pictures so we will have to go with my words, good luck to both of us. ;]
Let's start with the basics, this girls name is Juno and she is very petite for her age. She is the type of person that girl that older ladies[grandma's] like to start pinching her cheeks randomly. I think that is enough of a intro. Now, she is pale skinned with platinum blonde hair that flows down to just above her ankles. She usually wears in down without restraints but on occasion, like working, training and messy areas, she will braid it and put it up in bun. She wears a simple diftloon purple dress that catches in the wind a lot[which I would love to show!] and over it a glaceon blue cardigan that is usually left open. Juno wears ballerina flats that match the cardigan on her feet and around her waist is a brown belt that she has her pokeballs clipped onto it, it hangs loosly off her hips.
EDIT:: I was thinking for the dress it could be like a sundress with the simple straight cut with spaghetti straps, it would fall from just under her breast and cinch there but not very defined. The belt would fall around her hips but isn't to heavy so it would stop from flowing around, it just keeps the dress from flying upwards. I think a good length so the imaginary breeze shows would be around her knees, maybe a bit pass. The cardigan would be open and hanging loose and I think long sleeves would be good, I don't really like cardigans that don't have sleeves... I'm not to sure about her hair style, a fringe to one side, trying to frame her face? That one I will leave up to you.
Extras: Well she should be cheerful and if you could the dress should be windswept in an imaginary gust. But mostly, have fun and do what comes to you. Could you animate it?? If it isn't any trouble...

As for the graphic thing... uh, well, the dragon squirrel is out unoffical mascot - there are a bunch of pictures of her linked in my signature... but I really don't mind. Be inventive, I guess.
