My love of the old school Pokemon leaves me with no desire to see any of the newer ones... I've seen snippets of the Deoxys movie, and it just made me want to die. So much of it was done with CGI...

My favorite part in that movie? When Lugia blows up the collector's ship w/ aeroblast! It's so f-ing epic! Especially: Lugia screeches (sounding like a humpback whale >.>), uses aeroblast to destroy the ship (while flapping his wings! ), then screeches again and uses aeroblast to knock out all three birds. Talk abut EPICNESS! 8D

*cough* erm..yesh. I also like the first movie. I loved the battle w/ the clones. I ALMOST fell in love w/ that clone charizard. And of course...

I loved the part when they thought they were doomed in the room of the unown and Entei roared (sounding like a dragon ) and broke the glass thingy. He jumped to the ledge and roared again. And: EPIC FACESHOTS! (lol caps lock abuse) to make it nice and dramatic =3

Of the pokemon movies that I have seen so far, I'd have to say either Pokemon Heros; Latios and Latias or Giratina and the sky warrior.

I've seen Spell of the Unown and The power of One before, but I can barely remember either.

i really liked the first one, but only when i saw it recently i noticed all the anti-racism that movie had, so it truly is one of my fav's, Deoxys and darkrai are 2 of my favorite pokemon, and with honesty, i find their movies to be quite good too, haven't seen them all, i am missing the jirachi and others i can't remember.

I enjoy most of the movies(haven't seen them all, but still). The only one I really wasn't fond of was the movie with Entei. Pokemon Heroes is probably my favorite, made me cry when I when I first saw it.

I haven't seen any of the 4th Gen movies yet; will probably look them up soon.

My faves are "Jirachi Wishmaker" and "Pokemon Heroes", because they both make me tear up. Whether it's Max having to sing Jirachi to sleep one last time, or Latias crying for her brother, they're both so heartbreaking...

My top 3:

1) The Power of One. Mainly because of Lugia's Song... it's so pretty. I also like it because I fell in love with Lugia the first time I saw it, that it was the first major hinting of Pokeshipping IMO... *coughs* I remember watching this in the movie theaters when I was younger...

2) The Spell of the Unown: I guess because Entei's epic in this movie, and that the ending made me cry when I watched it recently. Plus I love Entei's theme x.x

3) Arceus and the Jewel of Life: I don't know what exactly, but this movie is different than the other ones, and I like it because of that. It also made me fall in love with Arceus.

The first Pokemon movie is the greatest one for me. =) I have a thing for most of the ones before (and including) Pokemon Heroes. Any after that...meh. D= I don't like the new voice actors and the movies just started to get less epic and became more like an extended anime episode to me.

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (8th movie) stands in the first place, for many reasons (one of them: Lucario, my favorite Pokémon. ^^)


For close second, I would say Mewtwo Strikes Back (or Mewtwo vs. Mew, the way they callled it around here). Watching the 1st movie, along with some friends, in a theater full of people (even seated in the access corridors, just imagine...) when I was a little boy (11 years old), in the "middle" of the "Great Worldwide Pokémon Fever" (the PKMN old-schoolers know what I mean... XD), back in 1999, turned out to be an unforgettable experience, that I still remember today, as if it had been yesterday. Not to mention the story...


3rd place... The Rise of Darkrai (10th movie), even though I liked the whole "Sinnoh trilogy" (The Rise of Darkrai + Giratina and the Sky Warrior (11th) + Arceus and the Jewel of Life (12th).
It's hard to explain why the 10th stands out for me: prolly because of Darkrai's history and background, the events of the movie itself and......... Oración (yeah, powerful song ^^).

But I gotta say somethin': Arceus and the Jewel of Life was pretty awesome as well.

The first movie is just for sentiments. I loved that one to hell and back.
The second is pretty neat, with the prediction and all that.
The third isn't nearly as good, though a nice way to show off Entei.
The fourth was kinda funny, with little Oak.
The fifth wasn't really something, except for the fossils.
The sixth was only fun with the dreamcatcher and that corrupted Groudon.
The seventh isn't nearly as fun, though it is nice there is a trainer in DPPt that has the same thing as the girl in the movie.
The eight was just pure awesome. That's gotta be one of my fav.
The ninth was nice, with May + Ash.
Tenth is good for some collisions. That one is nice too.
Eleventh, no shit. Regigastructure for the win!
Twelfth, holy crap. Past travel, finally!

The thirteenth looks pretty darn awesome as well.

Eighth movie (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew), no question. It had great character development, a sensible plot, wonderful music, a fantastic setting and the most adorable scene in existence during the end credits.

2000.

I can't even begin to explain why. My VHS copy of it is getting worn down from watching it so much as a kid and watching it so much recently. It's seriously dying.

However, 4ever is coming up quite close to beating it.
I don't know why. Sammy just...grew on me. And counting all the awkward moments between Sammy and Ash is the funnest game ever.
