I think he's saying what egg are you attracted too and instantly grab without really thinking about it. The "Rarest" thing he's talking about is, I think, an egg that isn't too common and only appear every once and a while. Mine is Totodile eggs. Something about them attracts me to them. But I've already got a shiny one so I try not to.

Right now, I instinctively grab mudkip eggs. Not so much for the design but because I'm hunting two things: a box of females, and a shiny. Hopefully a shiny female.
When I'm hunting the lab though, I always grab tentacool eggs. The description just screams "GIMME GIMME GIMME". I used to always grab Rotom eggs but I've developed a resistance after 100 some odd fails in getting a shiny.

oh, hmm... I'm forever tempted to grab any novelty egg I see, almost reflexively. I end up releasing them when they hatch.
Just a few minutes ago I grabbed a W-Vul egg. I then saw an unown egg in the shelter. I started to rage, but when I hovered over it, it said "Unown Egg" so I knew it was a letter I already had. Also, a suggestion. Name your topics something... at least relevant to the actual topic. I don't really do that with eggs. Swinub eggs still catch my eye but I'm sick of them. The only thing that makes me impulse grab for no reason is female starter pokemon. I'm like 'oh! a female!', grab it, then realize I wasted a shelter grab on something I already have. Have yet to find a female eevee but if I see one, I'd snatch it quick.
