Dear GPX,
I want you to know how much I appreciate that Shiny Meowth that just hatched with a quiet nature. I don't know if I'll be able to level him up to meet today's challenge in time, but given all the personal crud that has been going on, this was a nice gift you had given to me. My hubby has been in the hospital since Wednesday morning and we're still not sure if he can come home today. He was suffering from a very high heart rate (should be around 70, was "clocked" at 142 - 157). He was transferred to a heart hospital (it's actually called Banner Heart Hospital) and had an angiogram on Thursday. That all came back good, but as of yesterday they noted a hemotoma near the injection site. And apparently that is still there. So I don't know what's going to happen today but I'll be showering and then going to visit him and wearing a smile of hope. So thank you, GPX, for that unexpected shine this morning. It made me smile - if only for a while. Sincerely, Mamanator -------------------- |

I'm sorry to hear that, Mamanator, that sounds like quite the ordeal.
My thoughts are with you and your husband! I hope things will look up soon. To sit tight waiting for results/decisions to come, can be very difficult, tiresome and stressful. -------------------- |

The hemotoma must've been resolved or was cleared because... he's home now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it will be slow going at first and sometimes stressful, but it feels so good to have him back again. The house felt so wrong without him this week. Dang. Do I ever love that man. -------------------- |

That's rough, Mamanator. I hope your husband gets well soon! (ninjedit: Glad to hear he's home! <3 )
Missed the last two scavenger tasks, one due to laziness and the other due to travel. But I got today's in! Also...are people still in need of Floral Togepi? Not really sure what to breed r/n. This post has been edited by KatTheBard: Oct 29 2016, 01:07 PM -------------------- |

Also...are people still in need of Floral Togepi? Not really sure what to breed r/n. I still don't have one, but I also have been rather lax in my searching. Being 21 and going to a place that has free tastings for beer and wine is a wonderful thing. That led to me coming home from market with a bottle of wine that I otherwise would not have! -------------------- |

Tastings are so much fun. There are also a lot of beer festivals in my area, and those are a really good time. Do you use Untappd? It's like, a social beer review app, essentially, and sometimes you can get discounts on things.
Also, I guess I'll put Togepi back in the daycare. -------------------- |

I've never had a day like this on GPX before, but it's made me smile more than once. I've also never hatched two shinies in one day... let alone what just happened.
You are so kind to me today, GPX! (click to show ) So, yeah. Uh... wow! Thank you, GPX. Thank you for the love! And thanks, KatTheBard for the thoughts. He lost 8 lbs while in the hospital and found his hunger finally. But we're making sure he does a semi-quasi healthy thing at least. It's got to be rough on a tall guy (5' 19") to only eat hospital food 3 times a day with nothing in between. I've heard about wine tastings and such. I haven't had any wine in a very long time, but I'm glad you had fun, CrypticLyric. I hear ya on that score about buying something you normally wouldn't have. Before hubby got sick on Wednesday of this week, I was all set to make a purchase through Pampered Chef. But now I have to call the hostess and offer my apologies because I won't be buying anything. Hopefully, when she throws her next party, we'll be back on track though and can get something then. -------------------- |

It wasn't exactly a tasting, but a few years ago, my uncle got 50 different beers for his 50th birthday. We had a lot of fun with those.
Glad to hear your husband is back home, Mamanator! And it's pretty awesome that the site wants to cheer you up with shinies. -------------------- |

Ayyyyyy so my research adviser just offered me part-time funding. The beautiful thing about this is that it's almost more like a full-time job rather than classes. This also means I only have to teach once during the week instead of twice, which significantly lowers my burden. Also I don't have to take classes anymore, because I basically have my Master's degree now.

Anytime I hear about a collegiate's stress burden being reduced makes me happy. Kudos!! Thanks, Manah. It's been a rough week (I wasn't even in attendance at the attorneys' meeting because that's when this all went down) and I'm looking forward to some easier breaths now. -------------------- |

Congratulations for your shinies, Mamanator, and I hope your husband recovers soon.
I'm breeding Slime Slugma right now, mostly for the Pudding Vat achievement (though I wouldn't refuse a shiny one), and I'm starting to get a bit... I guess angry or confused is the right word. 589 children, and only 1 novelty That one novelty egg was in one of the first few batches two months ago. I stopped breeding them soon after, and restarted yesterday. I don't know how many eggs I've donated, but I think it should be at least 200. And I haven't seen any novelty eggs among them. The pair I'm breeding: -------------------- |

The pair I'm breeding: DraconicDM. have you tried using the Novelty Power? If you have enough Pass Orbs you can purchase that, what was it, twice in a day? Not a lot, I admit, but sometimes even purchasing them "pushes" the couple to create more novelty. And thank you on the wishes for my husband. It means a lot. -------------------- |

It's got to be rough on a tall guy (5' 19") to only eat hospital food 3 times a day with nothing in between. Five foot, nineteen inches? Mrr? Would that be 6' 7"? Or a misclick? I'm confuzzled. So, I had to work today and wasn't able to go out to a second GameStop for my Volcanion cards, but I was able to get someone to do it for me, so I currently have 3 of the 4 that I need. Poor Omega Ruby. It never gets a card pokemon nowadays. But while I was at work, I saw a, according to the license plate anyway, 1960 vehicle. Don't know the make, but it was a Mayberry police car and even had a prisoner handcuffed in the back seat. -------------------- |

It seems like complaining about the lack of novelties worked really well. As soon as I did so, the next batch had a novelty egg
It was not so much the fact that I wanted Slime Slugmas, and more "why is there no novelty egg in more than 200". I was getting worried that a Slime Magcargo can't breed novelties for some strange reason. I did forget about Novel Power, but I don't think I will use it for the Slimes. I have a lot of Pass Orbs, but I will spend them on novelties, that I want more. ed.: Yes. Complaining really did the trick. I had 3 novelties in 75 eggs since that. In these two Honey+ days there were no Voltorb or Clamperl eggs in the shelter at all and they were the only species I was hunting. '

@ Mamanator: So happy to hear that your husband is home again.
I hope he'll recover soon. Congrats on all those shinies, haha~ A shiny Meditite hunt is next on my shinydex list, and I saw some Meditite eggs in the Shelter yesterday, so I started a hunt. Can't find any more right now, but I'll keep my eyes open for them. -------------------- |

Tastings are so much fun. There are also a lot of beer festivals in my area, and those are a really good time. Do you use Untappd? It's like, a social beer review app, essentially, and sometimes you can get discounts on things. I will definitely have to check that out. I'm not much of a beer fan, but I do like some of the sweeter versions or hard ciders. So, yeah. Uh... wow! Thank you, GPX. Thank you for the love! I've heard about wine tastings and such. I haven't had any wine in a very long time, but I'm glad you had fun, CrypticLyric. I hear ya on that score about buying something you normally wouldn't have. Hopefully, when she throws her next party, we'll be back on track though and can get something then. Well, congrats on the awesome day of shinies! That is a great way to brighten up a dark situation. It was really cool, because I'm not really a wine drinker. The sweeter and less like wine they taste, though, and I am sold. There was Honey Mead for sale at the Renaissance Faire, and the bottle I bought is about half gone already. Hopefully you get a chance to treat yourself to something nice, soon, Mamanator! In these two Honey+ days there were no Voltorb or Clamperl eggs in the shelter at all and they were the only species I was hunting. ' I hear you, there. There were a couple times where all I was getting were sentret eggs. Mostly Murkow, though. Which I am okay with. Shinies would be great, though. -------------------- |

Whoa, sorry to hear about your husband Mamanator. Really glad to read that he's doing a lot better and home with you now. Hope everything is still going alright, and things are settling back into place for you all. Grats on that double shiny!
Eevee, that bird is adorable! I love birds, they're so fun and entertaining to watch. My mom has cockatiels, but they all have attitudes. :'c I'm not much of a beer or wine fan either. I love sweet things and soda mixed with vodka. I've never looked into anything to see if we have tasting events like that nearby, it would be nice to try a bunch of new things. Sounds like a lot of fun! Did anyone do anything for halloween this weekend? Any parties or events? kind of long halloween party story (click to show ) I sent out PMs for the egg distribution. Definitely meant to do that sooner due to what weekend it is, but I forgot. Sorry. -------------------- |
