How's it going fellas? Been a while since I last posted! Some major shit's gone down in the past few months. First off, my old cat of ~10 year ended up passing away during November. I miss the grouchy old bastard, but my new cat helps fill that hole. Ended up calling her Rosa after Rosa Luxemburg. Had to go back to school to finish off year 12. Shouldn't be there any longer until the end of the term (so about mid-April), and then that's it, hopefully. Lastly, my parents ended up splitting after 20, nearly 25 years of being together. Not terribly shocked, seen that coming for half a decade now. Anyway, yeah, how are you lot? Anything big? Man. I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is never easy. Beautiful name for Rosa, though! Good luck with finishing school, too! I still find it hard to believe I'm out of school, and it's been 3 years!! If only the teachers could see how much time I waste on games. :') |

Good morning and welcome to March everybody!
I know I've been persona non-grata for quite some time; it's been a very busy start to the new year for me and the fun hasn't quite slowed down. Given that, I did want to come out here and hope that I can come back and stick to it. Here's hoping. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cat, Gigadweeb. Loosing a pet is never easy especially when you've had so much time with it and you've grown attached. Even the crazy, stupid ones we miss terribly. ((( hugs ))) Hopefully your new furry friend will fill the void and make you smile more. And good luck with finishing school. It also sounds like your family is going through some major changes as well. Expected or not I'm sure there will be more road bumps along the way as you all work to figure out the new dynamics. If it hasn't been happy, hopefully that will now come once the adjustment has settled. My youngest went back to public school in January as well. Online turned out to be a huge positive for her self esteem, but the grades were a direct opposite. And what an uneasy time for any kid to be in public schools currently. I still remember the only things that I feared when I went to school was how the boy was going to overreact when he heard I liked him (an overreact he really did!!). Safety on a huge scale was never even an after thought, unless you probably lived in, for example, Tornado Alley or a coastal school during hurricane season. To think we have to fear the unknown from fellow students is still mind boggling to me. *sigh* My husband also changed jobs, but this was a complete profession change. He's a truck driver now and, for the most part, enjoys it tremendously. The backing up part leaves a lot to be desired as it takes him twice as long (just about) as the regular truckers, but he does get it in the end. He just says it sucks and he hates that part of it. Sounds a lot like my minutes. I hate having to do them but I have to get them done. Ugh. He's gone a week at a time though and that truly reeks, but we're making it work and hanging in there. I should be getting a new car "soon". I was rear ended back on December 7th and the insurance (took 2 months) said that the car was a total. We finally got those figures yesterday and I'm hoping we'll have good luck car shopping this weekend. Not sure if we'll walk away (or ride away more likely) with a new used car off the lot or not, but I'm really hoping so! I'm going to work extra hard to finish my current exploration. I'm through the worse of it and just need to speed click to be done. So.... here's hoping that works out. -------------------- |

I didn't expect this month's Shiny Hunts to come so early! And I was so surprised that this month don't have voting.

Well my first 10% Zygarde hatched and I already finished the Yveltal exploration so that egg is sitting in my party. I'm trying to get all of the monthly explorations done before the end of this week. Work has been getting slightly busy again thanks to customers stocking up on Easter stuff.
I had quite a few errands to do today. I had an appointment to get my taxes done earlier this morning. Thankfully, this year I actually got a refund unlike last year where I had to pay in. They also took whatever I owed from my return so that's one less bill to worry about. I picked up a few groceries and paid my phone bill. After that I made lasagna for supper and helped mom dye her hair. Started the Xerneas exploration now that I get a chance to relax. Xerneas needs some berries, its hungry: -------------------- |

So it looks like Electrike, Lillipup, and Snubbull are the choices for this months SWSH. I think I will start off with Electrike, gonna try to put in a good start for Malachite once again!

That's what I chose as well. Since it's the only one I know the shiny colors of. And I like the blue. -------------------- |

I still find it hard to believe I'm out of school, and it's been 3 years!! If only the teachers could see how much time I waste on games. :') Thank you! She was originally going to be called Mittens. Figured it might be nicer to have a more unique name, you know? I can't blame you with wasting time on games ahaha, I think my break was split like three-way between Skyrim, FO4 and PUBG Good morning and welcome to March everybody! I hope your youngest eventually has an easier time with it, I can definitely relate to her problems with grades. Fortunately I'm from Australia, so the idea of gun-related crime is a foreign idea to me. I really hope one day in the future the US is able to sort out some sort of gun control and cultural shift that leaves most happy. It's good to hear your husband is enjoying his new job for the most part, even with the absences. Hopefully something comes down the line where those week-long trips aren't as common. -------------------- |

I have 2/3 SWSH options, so I'll be going the one I don't have first: Lillipup. I've been wanting one for a while, so that's great!
If I'm lucky enough to find that shiny, I'll probably go for another shiny Electrike, I really like those. ^^ Managed to participate in this week's Pokéhunt (I always seem to forget those...). Aaaand I've hatched enough Zygarde Cells to get a 10% Zygarde. What are you guys doing today? I'll probably have a relaxing day at home, maybe do a bit of tidying up. I have a week off this week, so it's nice having some time to just be slow. ^^ -------------------- |

Are they not doing a new community thread every month anymore? Nope. The new threads stopped with the egg giveaways. It's just the single thread now. -------------------- |

Just because other people have tougher situations doesn't mean yours doesn't matter, or that your feelings aren't valid. You're a person too, and deserve to seek happiness, regardless of what happens to other people. I'd be worried if my hobbies weren't making me happy anymore. Is it possible for you to talk to someone who could help? -------------------- |

Now I have to get my butt over to Utrecht and buy more volumes. Or wait till those guys are at a convention I'm at again. Today... I spent most of the day sleeping. -------------------- |

Just like @Storskarfen has said, other people's problems don't negate yours. It's ok for you to feel sad, anxious and depressed for your own reasons. One thing is for sure: You ARE needed. I don't know your in person but I can say your presence here in the site has already left its impact so you would be missed here at least. There's always someone who cares about us, ok? I hope you'll cheer up soon, dear. *hugs* If you need help try to find it soon, or at least talk to someone you can trust. I watched it when it aired Since it doesn't have a lot of merchandise but I still wanted to support the creator, I bought the first volume of the manga. -------------------- |

Soooo i'm back. ish.
kind of update kind of question. disappeared because my laptop's charging port decided to stop charging and apparently it's now beyond economical repair and i've been using my dad's old thing for the last month or so now. Perhaps a little bit longer. i'm being refunded the full Ł500 i spent on mine but i'm thinking of paying the excess and upgrading to a macbook air. i've looked at chromebooks and others and i'm thinking for the amount they are i may as-well go the full whack. i literally only need it for uni work and streaming music, occasional internet browsing + discord (and art program stuff) - no gaming no nothing so there's no need for me to have a massive chunky laptop. - just wondering if this is actually the right way to go about things. lightweight, modern, can take into lectures and doesn't weigh a tonne in my bag when i'm going to and from wherever with it. obviously there's the higher cost of it but i feel it'll be a decent investment.. maybe? -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. I would say a Chromebook would be a reasonable investment for what you've got in mind, yeah. I don't personally have experience with one, but from what I've heard they're reliable enough. -------------------- |
