Kudos on your 9 year GPXary, Luneon! I can't imagine you being warned for anything.
I just thought I'd come out to also say thank you to Glowsteve for breeding the for me. I'm really hoping your Pokemon believe in shiny shine Fridays. LOL If not, at least I'm getting my clicks in to advance to the next "impossible" upcoming task for my explore. It's been a long time since I've done the Bidofo explore, Gryphaena. From what I remember it's pretty straight forward and fun. Enjoy it! Who knows? Maybe you'll get a "clean" shiny?? -------------------- |

I just released some Explo mons for Treasure Hunt of Mysteries and the dofo Explo.
I hope they go where they're needed! Whoever told me that Treasure Hunt of Mysteries gives two special Pokechests was correct, so thanks for the info! My dofo egg from the Explo wasn't shiny this time, ah well. Maybe next month. -------------------- Avatar by Cycloneblaze at Cycloneshop II Banner by http://gpx.plus/user/eevee64 Banner by http://gpx.plus/user/Baymax |

Does anyone else here exclusively [pretty much] collect older Pokemon merchandise? Recently I've been picking up a fair amount of early 2000's Kid Figures that never saw a release on my side of the bay [or at least I never noticed them as a kid, few things were imported] and some older gachapon prizes like the Full Color Advance/footprint figures.
I have a few newer things on hand currently, like the recent Bulbasaur, Leafeon, and Mimikyu Tomy plushies, as well as a few newer Tomy figures like Alolan Sandshrew, but most of my Pokemon merchandise collection in general dates back to 2003-2008 and rarely earlier. Kudos on your 9 year GPXary, Luneon! I can't imagine you being warned for anything. Thank you! I did recently change laptops so I thought it could've been perhaps about that even though I mentioned it in here. -------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone else here exclusively [pretty much] collect older Pokemon merchandise? Hmmmm I mostly collect merchandise of things I like, age isn't relevant to me when it comes to that. Although I prefer unused merch over secondhand stuff. With most old merch being often secondhand, most of my stuff is new. Speaking of which, I picked up the -YES- ever elusive Alolan Vulpix plush at the convention I've been to!! It's so nice to finally have it. It's been out since 2016 but no conventions or stores here had them. I wasn't expecting it there at all so it was a really nice surprise. -------------------- |

Ouch, task 11 in DotW is gonna be a drag. /first time going through it
But other than that, this exploration still feels better than TBD? -------------------- |

@Luneon because GPX+ is being buggy and won't let me quote anyone today
I haven't seen any of the newer plushies/general toys around here besides the occasional Eeveelution or figure set. So unless I want to shell out $50+ looking for MIB/MIP everything online, my only choices are to check the pictures provided with the listings and buy secondhand lol. Though I did snag an unopened Crawdaunt Kid Figure off of eBay for $6 a while back. Congrats on the Vulpix, by the way. Morning All.
Well. Seems I totally shot myself in the foot for finishing the Scavenger Hunt 100%. I was too tired and side tracked this weekend to even log onto the net whatsoever. Ugh! And with yesterday's task being so freaking simple and I have a big, red, X for that task. Gah! In other related Pokemon news.... I have a question for those who might know more about the GTS than I (actual Pokemon game related). Can someone please tell me how so many people are able to trade legendaries when I can't even seem to trade one? I thought legendaries can't breed? Can these people really have gotten Heatran to breed or something? How come so many are available, but I can't put up my Xerneas or Zygarde to trade? Gah! I so wanted to trade a Zygarde for the Heatran I missed, but it seems I won't be able to get a Heatran unless Nintendo re-releases that gift code again. Which probably won't be for a very long time, huh? *sad sigh* How do they all do it that I see in the GTS? -------------------- |

Most likely they cloned them using Power Saves or PKHeX, that's how people do it However, GTS is totally unfair with the trades, you can see people asking for a Tapu for example and offering a simple (let's say) Spinarak with no special attributes or whatsoever. And these aren't even giveaways like the ones you see on various forums or tumblr. I don't have a problem with cloning, I do it myself when I want to evolve a shiny I want to keep. -------------------- •TRINKET TRADING PLACE•||FC: 4055-4266-5767 POKEMON SHINY HUNTER//XY; ORAS; SUMO; USUM Spoiler (click to show ) |

I didn't even know something like that was possible. Which must mean that it is going to be impossible for me to acquire the Heatran I missed, huh? My duplicates are all from the extra code cards my GameStop gives to me. I just didn't realize that I couldn't trade the extras. *sad sigh* 3 regular Zygardes, 3 shiny Zygardes, and I can't get my stupid Heatran. Bugger. Thanks for the 4-1-1, Mikaku Onchi. It wasn't what I was hoping to hear, but I appreciate knowing. -------------------- |

If you've got any in your area then that might be cheaper depending on which merchants they decide to host. Some merchants also have a "pickup at convention" option on their site. -------------------- |

Hey, mine is a PAL (European) one but I don't mind to give it to you and I mean the original PM me your friend code if you're interested ok? I don't have much need for it anyway. Now that you mentioned, I think you can't trade the shiny zygarde via GTS, at least someone told me that. I think it's because of the ribbon but I might be wrong idk. Anyway, I'm usually online at evening/night Lisbon/London time. -------------------- •TRINKET TRADING PLACE•||FC: 4055-4266-5767 POKEMON SHINY HUNTER//XY; ORAS; SUMO; USUM Spoiler (click to show ) |

I can send a PM with my FC once my daughters help me in figuring out how to find that. LOL Since it is getting late (don't know what hour it is by you; here it's actually early evening) we can set something up for tomorrow perhaps? Let me get my FC and then I'll send you the pm. This would be super sweet of you! *EDIT* In GPX related news... I've arrived at that wonderful task once again. Here is hoping that there will be a multiplier in the coming days (two or three would be ideal LOL) to help. If not, I'm hoping that I can make serious headway before the end of the month or, at the very least, before the start of the next SWSH. Here's hoping, right? Don't have a licence because I need other members of my family to physically be there when I get it for legal reasons and this year's been pretty hectic what with people going in and out of hospitals. It would take a while to walk. Haven't seen anyone utilizing that option yet, didn't even know that sort of thing existed until today. Still, no one has it. -------------------- |

*happy dancin'*
I just wanted to give a great big thank you shout out to Mikaku Onchi. Not only do I have my missed Heatran now... but a small handful of shiny in-game Pokemon as well. You were so super wonderful!! I wish I had better held items to give out as a thank you. I know you said it was, basically, no sweat for you to offer those shinies, but seeing as how I have over 100 hours playing Sun, and even a character in the game told me my chances of finding a shiny were 1 in, like, one million.... having these new 4 is AWESOME!!! And the Cleffa to boot! I haven't even run across a Cleffa yet so... sweetness! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You've made me a very happy Pokemon gamer this morning. GPX related... I'm at that wonderful task where battling would be great... if one only could. I'm working my way towards having strong Pokemon to bring with me and attempt it... but that attempt is still a ways off. So my 2 - 4 week struggle begins... today. -------------------- |

Aww, there's no problem at all I'm glad we could find a good time to trade, sometimes it's difficult because of time zones. Please take good care of the little ones and sorry for not nicknaming them, I never know what names I should give to my pokémon and end up with something stupid or some portuguese meme names lol. That's why I rarely name my shinies. If you (or anyone) need something pokemon related that I can help, shoot me a PM, anytime. *HUGS* -------------------- •TRINKET TRADING PLACE•||FC: 4055-4266-5767 POKEMON SHINY HUNTER//XY; ORAS; SUMO; USUM Spoiler (click to show ) |

I occasionally nickname my Pokemon in game. I tried to nickname them for the Ultra Sun game I've been playing, but my limited foreign language knowledge and wanting to name them something cool that relates to their "end evolution" proved to be quite tiresome and difficult. LOL
That's got me thinking... wondering... though. Anybody out here doll out nicknames to their in-game Pokemon as a standard practice? If so, what "formulas" do you use? Do you stick with your native tongue or find others more appealing? Or do you just use names from either real life, movies, or books? Since the game takes place in the Alola region, I tried to use Hawaiian names. Some of the names were stretches [to be sure], but I tried to either find the Hawaiian name that best fit their final evolution or what their natures were. After a while, it just got to be a burden to try [not to mention I was doubting Wiki's online translations, LOL]. So when I found that the daycare had Popplio in the mix, and I wound up with 3 offspring recently, I named each boy in secession, Pops, Leo, and then Brion. I wonder traded the first two and I'm keeping Brion at his first evolution. But dang. Brion is getting strong. He might be a great wonder trade for someone some day. LOL -------------------- |

I don't normally name any of my personal pokemon. I have given Ditto nicknames when I'm planning to WonderTrade/GTS them however. I will name them either: Clone, Mimeograph, Mimic, or Xerox.
And the shinies that I catch, I attempt to get them in Premier Balls if possible. -------------------- |

It can be tiresome, but I tend to nickname every single pokemon I catch (excluding legendaries and like). I don't have a specific theme in mind, so it can be pretty random. Human names, "meaningful" names, foreign language names and etc. Whatever clicks at the moment.
Same goes for shinies on this site, albeit, i tend to give nicknames only if i got an idea. This post has been edited by Gigadyne: Jun 23 2018, 08:44 AM -------------------- |
