Do you have an object that you treat like it's a living thing (hold conversations with it, get mad at it when it doesn't work, etc.)?
When I was in elementary school, my best friend gave me a fuzzy white cat keychain. I was obsessed with that thing. I carried it to school every day in one of those cylinder shaped pencil sharpeners, made a tiny cardboard bed for it, and generally treated it like my baby. Unfortunately, because it was so tiny (about an inch tall), it was eventually lost by the same friend who gave it to me in a pond-related accident. Oh, well. -------------------- |

Funny enough, I had a little mew figurine with light-up eyes and a posable tail. I took it with me everywhere and I was so devestated when I finally lost it after years and years of playing with it. Mew was my favoritr pokemon too.

I have a doll that was given to me when I was about 2 years old, I carried it everywhere, played with it, slept with it, I would have it sit at the table with me while I ate or colored or whatever, I even gave it a name "Dolly" not the most creative but I was only 2 anyway. I still have it because it's so special to me but I don't treat it the same anymore. It sits on a shelf where it's safe.

Well, I don't know about anything from my childhood, but I can tell you that I'm overly attached to my car. Like I die a little on the inside when I see dirt on it or someone parks too close. I don't know, maybe it's normal for someone's first car?

I had toys I treated like this as a kid, but these days I can't really say I do... I guess I talk to my plants and get angry at my computer when it doesn't work, if that counts.

I had a Rainbow Dash toy that I carried with me everywhere. She went to the park, the store and even school as I kept her safe in my pocket. One day I left her because I didn't have any pockets and I thought she needed a break (yeah, I gave them human emotions too) and she left from the shelf by accident to the floor where the dog could get her. I actually ended up burying her remains.

I mean like, I'm pretty close to my phone and 3DS a bunch of the time. Always have my 3DS on me and phone. I'd say we're pretty close.

I can't say that I am. Items are material things after all. They're meant to be used, bought and sold. Given the kind of childhood I had I'm shocked that I'm not a hoarder to be honest. At one point I had a massive collection of rare books, vintage video games, records, consoles, figures and more that was literally floor to ceiling and organized. Life happened and I sold all of it off. Moved so many times that having items is just too much of a pain to have. The only things I would care about would be my desktop and laptop at this point, but that's because they're useful tools for work/jobs.
