You have been given the chance to stay young forever.
Would you accept the offer? Or would you rather stay mortal and die? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I, for one, will take the chance of eternal youth. Even if I will see my friends or family die in my eternity, I won't really care. How about you? What would you choose? -------------------- ayy

Believe it or not, I wouldn't accept the offer.

Mortality.
Somethings I just don't want to see. Also I would give up my chance to be the annoying neighborhood grouchy woman (we all have one!). Who would wanna give up that chance?? Kidding aside, I want to be able to continue to connect with my friends and family. I think they'd get suspicious when I didn't get any older after twenty years of being a teenager. And then I'd have to explain that I found the Fountain of Youth and all that and well... Mortality is a good thing. Accept the terms and die horribly at the heat death of the universe, or don't accept them and be completely normal.
Ahurm. This is a hard decision. -------------------- |

If no one else could get it, I would refuse. I love my family and friends too much to watch them all die, I would feel alone in the world without them.

Both
I would take mortality but stay young looking until the day I die. That would be pretty cool. |

I wouldn't take the offer... If you were young all the time then you might be a naive, childish fool who would never grow up. Also if you didn't grow older you would not be able to have grandchildren and great grandchildren. I want to die knowing that I made a major contribution to the world and not live to see nothing happen to it.

Seventy or eighty years already seems an appallingly long stretch of time to be bored out of my mind. Why would I want to extend it further?

This is tough to decide. I would love to have eternal youth, because I wish to see the world grow into something greater than it is today. But on the other hand, there might be things I do not want to see or know, thus regretting having the eternal life.

I consider life to be a struggle. We all have to deal with the consequences of our actions. I have hopes and dreams that have yet to be fulfilled, and it's going to take a long-ass time to accomplish them (considering that I do).
To answer the question, I would take eternal youth without a second thought. Like many, I do not want to die. I would enjoy experiencing life on earth for an extremely long time. There is always something to do, there is always something to accomplish, and there is always time to pleasure yourself and have some fun. As for mentality, I would like that not to stay the same. Throughout my life, the person that I am has evolved and changed on a regular basis. I think this is because of the relationships and interactions I've had with other people. They create me as I create them. -------------------- |

I am only 17 but have seen some things that would make a normal person wish to die. I have done terrible things. But even after all this I will admit Im scared to die and would pick eternal youth anyday.

I can see the upsides and downsides of both.
Staying young would mean staying pretty. (I have vanity issues.) But stayong young and not dying also means seeing your friends die and frankly I think you'd get pretty bored of life after a couple hundred. -------------------- |

Personally I would choose mortality because you treasure life more when you know that you only have a short time to live it in. If you have all the time in the universe you don't treasure what really matters and you lose sight of reality and lose touch with what you should be.

To have immortality would mean that you could never grow close to anyone, you wouldn't be able to meet new people and become friends because in the end they would die and it would just be another disappointment. Then of course you would most likely become arrogant as the 'mortals' would seem inferior to yourself. Then what if you changed your mind in the future, you wouldn't be able to kill yourself no matter what you did but you would still be able to feel pain. Despite the fact that my own death is something that I don't like to worry about, I would choice to be mortal.

I think, in the end, I'd choose to stay mortal. What's the point of being alive forever if everyone who makes your life worth living is dead? It'd be an extremely lonely life.

not really sure.
If i feel pain during the eternity nah i rather die an old man than be able to feel pain when i jump from building to buildings and lets say i miss and fail epicly if i feel pain but im still alive deffinitely not worth it. -------------------- |

Mortality, because this is a world of pain, suffering, loss, death, vengeance.... you get my point. I would much rather get my life over with and live in a place of eternal reprieve (heaven) for eternity than live in a world of suffering for eternity.
And yes, I am a religious fellow, but don't judge me on that, because I'm not shoving my beliefs down your throats. -------------------- Credits! (click to show ) Gym Badges and Frontier Symbols! (click to show ) If you like metal... (click to show ) |
