My favorite band would probably be the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, or Shinedown. I can't decide. The Exies are pretty great, too.
My favorite solo artist is easily Natasha Bedingfield. -------------------- I have claimed Kanghaskhan.

My taste in music is somewhat old fashioned compared to you kids. My favourite groups are Supertramp, Genesis, Dire Straits, and a few other classic and prog rock groups.
Solo artists too, with names like Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Roger Hodgson near the top of my "most-played" list. |

Oh, I also forgot Aerosmith. They rock. I saw them in their Rockin' The Joint tour in 2006, they were AMAZING.

Roger Hodgson comes and plays a concert at a casino relatively near us once a year usually, him and my I've seen him live myself, including before he went solo, when he was with Supertramp. He's English (all the good prog-rock musicians are), so he plays shows quite often in the UK. I just have to travel up country to see them. I saw Genesis and The Who's come-back concerts last year and this year too. Since I also listen to classical music and jazz and go to watch stand-up, I can find myself dressing in a leather jacket for a rock concert, changing into a casual shirt to go to a jazz or comedy club, and then changing again into my tuxedo to go to the opera, all in one day. Not often, but it's a pretty surreal day when it does happen. |

Although I like a shitload of bands, the ones I like the most would have to Alexisonfire, HORSE the band, Killswitch Engage, Ministry, and Rammstein.

Pink Floyd, definitely. The Wall (album) is by far their best work.

Obsessed with Paramore and Lillix at the moment. No, don't tell me that Lillix is a Disney mould, they only did one song for Freaky Friday and that movie was a lot cooler than compared to Disney movies nowadays. Paramore isn't that popular, but they're featured on music channels like MTV and MuchMusic. Lillix makes good songs, some of my favourites are 'Sick', 'Quicksand' and 'Blackout'. I pretty much love Paramore's new CD 'Riot', and 'All We Know Is Falling'.
Other than that, I listen to some Cascada, Mindless Self Indulgence, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Evanescence, American Hi-Fi and Fall Out Boy. Meh. |

Rock rock rock rock.... so what?
All everybody likes is rock.... Electronica anyone? Maybe it's because I bought Intastella 5555 but I've really been into Daft Punk lately, and not just the songs in that music video I recently got a single with Da Funk and Musique on it too and.... damn Ah, electronica.... you are my favorite genre... Not that rock is bad of course, Fantasy Metal is also a great genre with bands like Serenia and Hammerfall or Nightwish Hey! 80's rock like Genesis and Peter Gabriel is great too!!! (I saw that!) Does anyone here like old video game music? www.ocremix.org has some great re-mixed versions of old songs one might remember (free XD) Catapult by Beatdrop is awesome (Sonic 3 Flyig Battery Zone song) |
