OK, so, I'm thinking of getting into UU battling (since alot of my favourites like Mismagius are in that tier) and I wanted to see what you guys thought of it, and to help me make some decisions. Here we go...
Uxie @ Light Clay Impish, 252 Def/252 SpD/4 Spe Reflect Light Screen Stealth Rock U-turn My SR Lead and Dual Screener. Pretty much a standard setup I suppose, but I'm having issues deciding on Memento or U-turn, as Memento can help the next Pokemon I'll show set-up alot easier, but U-turn can help me get out of there and possibly set up screens again later, but I'm not as attracted to the latter as I kinda lack Wish recovery... Edit: I'm going with U-turn. Azumarill @ Salac Berry (Huge Power) Jolly, 252 Atk/4 SpD/ 252 Spe Belly Drum Substitute Waterfall Return One of my sweepers. I'm thinking of taking Waterfall over Aqua Jet, as I hear that Belly Drum + Aqua Jet isn't exactly a combonation people are fond of being hit by, which is understandable because of it's priority and STAB bonus. Though if you guys suggest Memento for Uxie, I can replace Substitute with something else that can help Azumarill in some other situations. But I'm still open for other options. Edit: No wonder people don't enjoy it, it's illegal. I feel stupid for even suggesting O_o Mismagius @ Focus Sash Modest, 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe Nasty Plot ThunderBolt Shadow Ball Pain Split My Nasty Plot Special sweeper, Spin Blocker and one of my favourite Pokemon (though Misdreavus looks cuter ). Focus Sash guarantees I can get a Nasty Plot in at least once so I can cause some damage before I go out, and I don't include Trick because most people expect that from Ghosts like Mismagius. I'm thinking of running a Timid Nature instead and using Destiny Bond in place of Pain Split and using her as a suicide runner, taking out the oppositions Pokemon with her. But this set is dangerous enough IMO, I was wondering if you could suggest something to spice it up though. Donphan @ Leftovers Adamant, 252 Atk/252 Def/4 SpD Assurance Ice Shard Rapid Spin Earthquake Physical sweeper/wall, Spin support and Spin Block remover. Assurance is to hit some Ghosts when they're coming in (and efficiently causing them pain), Ice Shard to get the finishing KO on weakened opponents and sometimes Altaria, Rapid Spin to do what everyone knows it does, and Earthquake for anyone dumb enough to stay in with a non-resistant type and STAB bonus. However, I'm thinking of replacing Ice Shard with Stealth Rock incase the opposition removes Uxie's SR's (and only really if Uxie has Memento over U-turn). Edit: Ice Shard looks like the winner. Arcanine @ Expert Belt (Intimidate) Naughty, 80 Atk/176 SpA/252 Spe Flare Blitz ExtremeSpeed Hidden Power Grass Flamethrower An attempt at a mixed sweeper/wall breaker, but I'm not sure whether to go with this, or possibly another mixed fighter, such as Honchkrow or Magmortar. But I suppose I could use it. As for the final slot, I'm kinda stuck between two Pokemon... The two Pokemon (click to show ) Some substitutes (click to show ) So what do you guys think? Are you sure about using Uxie in your team? There's a lot of people who may count that as an Uber due to its 580 base stats total.
Or at least, find a substitute for those matches that don't allow legendaries in the team, if anything. Espeon would be a good replacement if that helps any. |

I guess I could switch it out and include another Pokemon for Uxies job, I just never knew people thought of it as Uber... O_o

No. Don't switch it out. Just because something is legendary doesn't mean it's uber. Stats aren't everything either. Tyranitar has a base stat total of 600. Is it legendary? No it's not.
I also fail to see how Espeon would be a good replacement. No Stealth Rock or bulk to set up all those moves. -------------------- |

I was just gonna edit my post to say "Probably not, Uxie actually could do a better job because of them defences". But I still can't choose between Memento or U-turn. <.<; This post has been edited by RoseLaddie: Jun 10 2010, 01:15 PM -------------------- Credits to xJesstheMess for this banner, thanks bud! |

I would use U-Turn.
Also, Belly Drum + Aqua Jet is an illegal combination on Azumarill. Both are egg moves, and you can't legitimately obtain both on the same set. That's probably why people don't enjoy it. -------------------- |

Now, last thing I gotta set is whether to go with Gardevoir, there just to try get a free KO, or Gallade, the wrecking ball. -------------------- Credits to xJesstheMess for this banner, thanks bud! |
