Back in February of 2009, GPXPlus opened to the public! (That's 7 years in parent lingo.)

We will be celebrating with a few things this month.

First, we've reset everyone's coins to 0. Starting right now, you can collect coins by hatching Pokémon that have a base color of Red, Pink, or White. That's about 106 different Pokémon. Again, this is by the base Pokémon's dex color (on GPX) and not by the egg or an evolution's color (if different).

This will run all February long, with the event ending (and prizes given out) on February 29th at reset (yay for leap years). Since this is also a Scavenger Hunt month, you will also receive 20 coins for each task you complete. Since some people were upset about prizes being a secret during the December coin event, I will say that you can expect similar prizes this month.

There will be a couple of other things announced at a later date.


Some quick information on Coins to new members or those who didn't participate the last two times: Coins are basically just a stat (you can find your current count in your Stats and add a counter for it to the top left by going to the Settings page). We've only used them twice before, both times for a Hanukkah dreidel event. We decided to use them again, this time for our anniversary / Valentine's Day, so you will earn coins by hatching Red, Pink, or White colored Pokémon (rather than Fire-types like the last two events). At the end of the event, you will be given prize(s) based on how many coins you collected.


End-of-Month Update

I hope you all enjoyed the 7th Anniversary / Valentine's Day event(s) for February!

Prizes for coins have been handed out.

For every 60 coins, a scratch card was rewarded, for a max of 15 (and a minimum of 1, if you got at least 1 coin). You would need at least 900 coins to get all 15 scratch cards.

125 users who earned between 900 and 1799 coins received a Legend Voucher Plus.

68 users who earned between 1800 and 3899 coins received a Shiny Voucher Plus.

The 12 users who earned more than 3900 coins received a Shiny Legend Voucher Plus.
