Does anyone else find it weird that Kangaskhan hatches with a child? And that you never find one without a child, and they're all female, so there're no males to create the child with? And that the child never grows up?

well they can breed with another pokemon of their egg group...and yeah, hatching from an egg with a child is odd enough in GPX+ but why would they make special picture with no baby and after some time they put picture with a baby...
it is odd, but i like it this way, if it weren't this way it would be way too complicated.... -------------------- |

I don't know... but I'm hoping in 5th gen they make the baby an actual pre-evo.

The only explanation I can think of is that Kangaskhan aren't mother and child, but fraternal twins born from the same egg, where one is so small it sits in the big sister's pouch.
As for breeding...well... they breed with anything of their own egg group anyway... I'm more confused as to how male-only Pokčmon reproduce in the wild when there are no dittos around:P -------------------- Uxie Anitarig Daisuke Weasley Sceptile Rika |

I have questioned this for some time now.... Kangaskhan probably gets extra sperm in it's egg or something before it becomes an embryo. Just like Diglett and Dugtrio, Kangaskhan is one of those oddities that the questions for it will never be answered.

Some people say that MissingNo. was Khangasan`s baby...but I find that hard to beleive.Maybe,it mates with it`s baby...nah,that would be too silly.Or...? Its because the glitch-Pokčmon 'M in Red and Blue (not Missigno) evolves into a level 1 Kanaskhan. Nintendo didn't intend for it to be that way, but glitch Pokčmon behave in erratic ways. Maybe there was supposed to be a baby Kanaskhan that evolved into the adult at one point, but we don't know. -------------------- Uxie Anitarig Daisuke Weasley Sceptile Rika |

That is very strange actually. And I can't really think of a reasonable explanation for it. o_O I think though, that there is some species of insect that, when it is born/hatched, it is already pregnant. Kangaskhan is the furthest thing from an insect, but. =x
And maybe the fact the poor baby Kangaskhan is born when it's mother is born gives it some sort of developmental disorder so it never physically grows up. *gasp* Or there's the possibility that Kangaskhan have both male and female reproductive gametes, thus they can be like certain types of frogs and reproduce themselves without a mate...and maybe the "mother" and "child" were actually twims born from the same embryo, but due to a limited supply of nutrition in the Pokemon egg, only one can grow to its full potential. Weird weird weird. =/ -------------------- ~I claim Bayleef~ |

Well when applying logic to the illogical world of Pokemon... -grimaces-
Seems odd and vaguely incestuous since they both hatch out of the single egg but could it be that the baby is actually a male Kangaskhan? A parasitic male at that, I think the species of angler fish utilize this method since dating is kinda difficult in the deep sea. Basically the male permanently attaches itself to a female and becomes a little more than a sack of sperm for the female's use whenever she feels the need to propagate the species. Okay, never mind me, that just sounds weird (and wrong) -------------------- |

I feel like we need a Kangaskhan pre-vo to straighten things out.
Catch it early in the game 5th gen, like Budew. Have it bring some cool moves that Kangaskhan didn't know before so maybe he'll move up to UU. QUOTE Basically the male permanently attaches itself to a female and becomes a little more than a sack of sperm for the female's use whenever she feels the need to propagate the species. You mean to tell me that male anglerfish spend their whole lives having sex and sleeping? And having sex WHILE sleeping? Was I born into the wrong species...? This is how it works:
Cubone: Baby pokemon. Took its dead mother's skull. Marowak: Child pokemon. Still has skull as a mask. Khangasan: Mother pokemon. Done grieving, so got rid of the mask. Nintendo wanted this, but then decided Khangasan should have no evolution line. -------------------- |

Kangaskhan just needs an evolution line (and a male version of it) to make sense but diglett and dugtrio will probably never make any sense ._.
