Created By SilverLugia456 Welcome! To Explorers, This group was created for people who have done explorations, who enjoy them and even for people who want to write them. In this group you can discuss the explorations(Without revealing tasks), give reviews of them(how were they?) and even write your own.
Introduced in September 2010, explorations give users a chance to earn various prizes. They range from Legendary Pokemon, specific Novelty Pokemon, or very rare/hard to come by items. An exploration is a series of tasks based on a story, that you need to complete for the reward of a special, hard to obtain pokemon. The great thing about explorations are that they are not entirely based on luck - they require a number of criteria to be able to start them, and have tasks that take a bit of work to do.
There are two types of explorations - Special, and Normal. The stats on GPX+ will read not only the amount of special and normal explorations completed, but also the total amount of explorations completed and unique explorations completed.
What's New? As we talk about explorations, something new has been added to what this group can do. Many of us might have a story or an idea for a exploration and would like to put it out there for others to see. Well, now you have a chance to do it, this group will also be a place where you can share your exploration story and ideas. To be able to write them out and have others read them and even help you out. I hope you enjoy your stay and have fun! Sincerely,
The Exploration Institution Rules:~ DO NOT POST TASKS FOR EXPLORATIONS~ All forum rules apply. ~ No spamming. ~ Please don't argue or fight if a disagreement emerges. ~ When it comes to others people writing or sharing, it's alright to correct but don't be mean about it. This is so that we don't have the constant spamming of people saying when they have completed another exploration. ~ When writing exploration stories, if you choose to write it all at once it would probably be best to place it in a spoiler tag so that the page doesn't stretch out from long posts containing exploration stories/ideas. ~ If you have a name change either message me or write it here so that I can update the members list to have the proper name. “New year, new me,” I say, laughing to my friends. Suddenly, I throw my arms out, golden light erupting from my hands and face. I scream in agony as every single cell in my body is rewritten, atom by atom. Abruptly, the light show ends and I drop my arms, coughing out a golden trail of residual energy. I am completely made new.

Like i said in the first post, this group has kinda expanded to more than just updating how many explorations you have done, now you are able to talk about and share ideas and stories. If you have a writing for a exploration you want to share and have people read you can post it here. While posting your ideas here others could get inspiration from it and also help you out. You can even post ideas and opinions of the current explorations(Just remember don't post exploration tasks.)
Also remember that when people post their writings or ideas, you are welcome to correct them or help them but make sure you are polite and respectful about it.
Anyways I'll start out with an idea I'm working on now:
I was thinking sometime in the future this could happen, were a exploration that has to do with obtaining 2 or 3 pokemon/items could have a story split. What I mean by a story split is that the first few tasks are the same for everyone but then you need to choose which path story you would like to do. So say you are doing a exploration for the Lake Trio....the story would begin the same for everyone then on task 3 or 4 you are given a choice and depending on what you choose, will decide what storyline to follow and what pokemon you would get. Instead of waiting until the end of the exploration and just choosing one there.
Some upsides to this is that you could look forward to going through 3 different stories instead of just repeating the same one until you get all 2 or 3 pokemon from it.
Right now I'm currently working on implementing this idea into a write up for the lake trio I'm doing.

Thanks for the congratulations, I will sure try my best @KiD MiCro - ya that would be the basic idea cause then you could look forward to a different storyline so say you went for Azelf...well if you went for Mesprit next it would be the same story for the first few tasks and then choose the mesprit path and you will be reading a different story that would probably contain different tasks. It would be something new and probably cool to try in the future. The one thing though is that, that would be two different stories, with artwork, it would probably take a good amount of work to get it done. As for writing your own exploration and showing ideas I myself have started one like i stated before which can be read here: First idea for a exploration. (click to showhide) The Lake Trio exploration story. Task 1 "It must be hard...to be that one person..who had everything and then is left with nothing. To be someone who knows warm and comfort of those who are close to you, then have that ice cold chill of loneliness creep up on you and consume you. You think you know yourself...then you find out a truth that turns your whole world upside down and you become a stranger to everyone including yourself. No ones life is perfect, but there are those out there who wish they were more than what they had become. Each of us has experience true loneliness....but how many of us were able to walk the shadows searching for that one light that leads us towards the warm and comfort we so long for? Will we ever make it there? Will we be able to find ourselves...our true selves..."It is a snowy night and the sound of crunching footsteps can be heard as someone tracks through about a foot of snow. It has been snowing heavy now for the past few days and it shows no signs of letting up. The cold chill in the air is bitter and harsh, and the howling winds moving through the trees doesn't help matters much. Its easy to tell that the stranger is struggling to keep their warmth within their body, they shiver nonstop and try to bundle up more as they continue to fight the still dropping temperature. Each step to them now, is like a burden, a burden that they no longer wish to carry or acknowledge that it exists. The snow gets higher and their steps get smaller as it passes their knees, to push through the snow is like pushing through thick mud, no matter how hard to try to go forward its either slow or impossible. Would probably be some length of interactions. *~*~*~*~*~~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~~~*~*~*~*~*~**~~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~~**~*~~** *~*~*~* Task 2 By now all of the person's strength has almost diminish, leaving them as empty as when they first began this walk of hopelessness, lost and alone. It isn't long before a huge wind gust comes by and knocks the fragile human to the ground causing a lot of snow to kick up by the impact. The figure just lays there, all hope, all light, it all seems to leave the falling person...as it continues to snow into night. "Hey.....that is a funny place to be taking a nap you know......" A small almost light voice comes from the wind. "H-h-huh?" You stir and turn your their head to see who could possibly be out in the middle of this misery. At first they see no one and assume its just your imagination playing tricks on you until... "I said that is a pretty funny place to take a nap......its too cold....." A faint red light appears floating down towards where you are laying. "W-w-w..." you try to answer but have very little energy to be able to speak the full word. "We see you have lost something..." In that moment the light splits so that there are 3 seprate ones. One is blue, one is yellow and the middle one remains red. ".............." You are unable to speak due to each intake of breath, with the cold wind constricting your lungs, making it hard to even take a breath without feeling a sharp pain. "You lost something, we can help you reclaim it" The three lights lower themselves so that they are floating just above the snow in front of you. The lights soon fades and sitting there in the snow are 3 orbs, a blue one, a red one and a yellow one. "Pick one and we shall help you"With the little strength you have left you slowly reach forward, even though you have little feeling left in your fingers, you somehow can tell that you have one grasped in your hand. This is the task where you decide which path or which story out of the three you would want to do now that is just something that I thought of, there is probably errors in it, but I have changed many things around as new idea start to form, and continue to write the three separate stories, just so give an example what it would be like if something like that was implemented in a exploration.

Form Accepted
As for the kind of explorations, its really any ideas that you have, for pokemon or for items like the few that were already done. Write out a story put it in spoiler tags others can read it and discuss it. Same with any ideas you might have post that and people can discuss it, add to it, and give their opinions on it.
Continuing from my last post, I'm still trying to think up a good storyline for each of the splits I think I have something good for one of them but I don't know about the tasks that each part would need.

Here was one I started on about a year ago today. I put it aside because I was getting bored with it but now that this group included posting exploration stories I was thinking some of you can suggest stuff for it, like if the tasks need to be harder or something was worded weird or whatever. This was all part of this idea I had of individual explorations for legends that have a 100% chance of being shiny. The user can only do one every once in a while. It obviously wouldn't be fair if someone were to do this more than once. I know it'll most likely never happen but it's an idea. Maybe I could convert this into one that'll give you a Rainbow Wing. Over the Rainbow (unfinished) (click to showhide) Over The Rainbow - All the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Requirements: Total interactions: 1,500,000 Dex entries: 625 Total Achievements: 150 Waiting period: This exploration can only be done once
Task 1/20: You just completed a long hike. After the walk is completed, you decide to rest against a large rock. You take a deep, relaxing breath and take time to admire the vast view of the forest before you. The sun was shining brightly in the sky as flocks of Pidgey and Taillow zoom by. Your stomach growls a bit so you reach into your bag and pull out what you called the perfect sandwich: tuna salad with light mayo on toasted white bread with the crusts cut off. Perfection. After you eat up the sandwich, you get ready to take a well-deserved nap. As soon as you doze off though, you could hear a strange, faint cry.
"Ba..."
You figure you're just getting delirious since you hiked this forest for two hours straight. You get back to your little nap, but the noise comes again and this time it's a little louder than before!
"BA!!!"
So thankfully you weren't crazy. There may be a Pokemon in trouble! Though you were still worn out, the adventurous side of you wanted to go rescue the poor thing. You get up and go!
Locate the strange noise: Get 1,000 interactions
Task 2/20
You quickly run deep into the forest in order to pinpoint the location of the strange cry. You wanted to know what time it was and looked down at your w atch. What luck! The battery in it died, stuck at 1:47. You angrily sigh but there's still something you must do. Keeping your ears open, you proceeded to look on, only stopping for a few seconds to catch your breath or sip on some water. During one of the rest stops, you notice the noise you're hearing was now louder than before.
"BA!!!!" You looked around to see if there was anything hiding in the bushes or in the rough patches of grass, but to no avail. You decide to look up just in case, and what you saw shocked you.
On one of the treetops, there was a ladybug-like creature perching on top. But from the downtrodden look on its face and the oddly moving wing, something was up. It kept sounding its heartbroken cries, but it seemed in vain. You felt sorry for the little creature...until you looked at the height of the tree. It seemed quite a few meters high, not what you were expecting. Though you were still a little bit tired, you wanted to save the upset Ledyba. Taking a deep breath, you began to climb the tall tree.
Rescue the Ledyba: Get 800 interactions
Task 3/20 After many failed attempts, you were finally able to reach the top of the tree and got the Ledyba that was lying on the top of the tree. As you climbed down, you notice a strange sparkle out of the corner of your eye. You took a short peek but nothing too significant seemed to have caught your eye. Maybe you were just dreaming it.
You finished climbing down the tree and you placed the pitiful Ledyba down. You could tell by its shorter antennae that it was a girl. Still, her left antennae looked a bit torn, and one of her wings looked damaged to the point that it couldn't move. You touched that part of her wing and felt sort of a chill. You're not sure how that might have happened, but you figured that she might have been harshly attacked by an Ice-type Pokemon. Either that or the Pokemon met up with some cold air, but that really didn't explain the damage it sustained.
Tears formed in her round eyes as she began to sob in pain. Reacting to it, a tear formed in your eye. It's upsetting how this little girl was suffering so much. You held it close to you and made a promise:
"I'll help you out. It's okay. I'll make sure you're all better!"
Wasting no time, you dug around in your bag once again to pull out some berries.
Help heal the injured Ledyba: Have 150 people feed Ledyba a berry
Task 4/20
The Ledyba seemed to have enjoyed the berries. It's now much happier! For some weird reason, all the berry-feeding seemed to have healed up her wing a bit! You watch in glee as the Five-Star Pokemon zipped across the clear sky when all of a sudden she started to cough a bit. Before you knew it, she slowly landed, still feeling just a little bit whoozy.
You can tell that she still felt a little bit sick. You once again look around in your bag for something that may completely heal her up.
Finish healing Ledyba: Have an Antidote in your inventory
Task 5/20
After you spray the medicine on the still sick Ledyba, she once again started to perk up, this time being completely better! She let out a joyful cry, happy that she was now fully healed! You waved goodbye to the bug as it flew away from view. It felt nice to do some good for a poor Pokemon in need.
You were just about to head back to that rock you were napping on when a dark blue blur suddenly zipped out of nowhere. You turned around and before you was a strange dark blue bipedal creature with a pink feather sticking out of its right ear. Its claws looked razor sharp and ready to attack. It was a Sneasel!
The Pokemon seemed to have identified you as an obstacle, because it launched a light blue beam from its mouth. An Ice Beam attack! You quickly dodged out of the way, but not without a little bit of your foot being encased in ice. You angrily growled at the creature as it attempted to slash at you with its claws. You luckily got out of the way of that attempt too, and that was when you realized something. When you felt that Ledyba's back, it was really cold. Perhaps this was the Pokemon that attacked the poor defenseless thing. This is when it got personal.
You detached a Pokeball from your belt.
"You wanna play rough, huh? Well I'm not going down without a fight!" you cried as you threw the Pokeball.
Prepare your Charizard for battle: Have a Charizard, at level 60 or higher, in your Party
Task 6/20
"Go, Charizard!" you shouted.
Out of the bright light that poured from the Pokeball stood the orange dragon-like Pokemon, breathing fire before letting out a majestic roar.
It looked down at the tiny Sneasel it was going to face. Charizard simply snorted at it. The Sneasel softly growled as it charged at your Pokemon, claws sharp and ready to tear.
"Quickly! Get out the way!" you cried.
Charizard spread its wings and headed up to the sky, easily dodging the Sneasel's attack. The Ice-type, however, did not hesitate to try it again, launching another Ice Beam. Like before, Charizard got out of its way, but it didn't notice that the attack was able to freeze a part of its left wing. When you and the Pokemon finally saw, it was too late. Charizard came crashing down. Sneasel snickered.
"I'm not giving up that easily! Charizard, Flamethrower!"
Despite the mishap, Charizard got up on its feet and breathed out a blazing stream of flames.
Sneasel retaliated with yet another Ice Beam. The two attacks collided.
Battle the wild Sneasel: Have Charizard win a Vs. Seeker battle
Task 7/20 The force of the two attacks triggered what looked to be a small explosion. After the smoke cleared, Sneasel laid there completely knocked out. Charizard roared out in victory! After the short celebration, you called your Pokemon back into its Pokeball.
Today certainly became weird. First you encounter an injured Ledyba. Then, you get attacked by a wild Sneasel. All you wanted to do was take a rest after your walk! You breathe a sigh of relief and prepared to sit against the same tree you earlier climbed and tried to get a rest. Your eyes were almost shut when you encounter a familiar sight: a strange twinkle of light. You figure you were once again losing it but soon after you attempted to close your eyes again, the twinkle appeared again, this time a little bit brighter. You decide to look around and notice a strange stream of glittering golden lights pointing to the west.
Okay. This time you must finally be off the rocker. That was until you heard yet another cry. A weeping sound can be heard from a distance, strangely from the same direction the sparkling path was leading. It must be another Pokemon in need! Sucking it up, you follow the golden light, like a yellow-brick road.
Follow the strange light path: Get 2,000 interactions
Task 8/20 It might have hurt a bit, but you still ran, towards the second cry, using the strange path of light as your guide. It leads you to a deeper and more tree-shrouded part of the forest. You start to look around to find where the sound was coming from, but like the first one, you didn't have too much luck. Not even in the trees.
You start to lose hope, but you still keep wandering around to find what you were looking for. Just then, you felt something slimy hitting your right arm. You turn to your arm and there was a sticky stringlike substance lying on top of your skin. You cringe at the sight and moved forward a bit, this time you feel like you stepped on something. Looking down at your feet, and there was that same sticky mass on the ground. You lift your left foot and from the looks of it, some of it got stuck on your shoe! Gross!
It was at that moment you realized that you walked into a sticky web! Before you knew it, you were covered in sticky strings. And then as quick as a flash...
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!"
You feel electricity surge through your entire body! You screamed so loud it almost split your eardrums! The attack lasted a few seconds, but time seemed to have passed rather slow and it felt like an eternity. When it all ended, you landed on the earth, blacked out.
Seconds passed like minutes; minutes passed like hours. You slowly opened your eyes and started moving your body a little bit. Miraculously, you survived the shocking attack. You felt a tad disoriented, so it took you a little while to figure out where you were. Then it clicked. You were led here by some strange light show, and then you stepped in an electric web and everything unfolded from there. Now why would that thing lead you here and almost kill you? It was at that moment you remembered one other detail: there was a Pokemon in trouble!
You finally get up only to have your eyes met by a giant yellow spider! You recognize the weird Pokemon as a Galvantula, a part-Bug, part-Electric type! That thing must've set up that web! Angered, you took out a Pokeball and prepared to bring Charizard out again so the thing can pay for what it did, but before you did, you noticed that it had a sad look in its eyes. Part of you thought this may be an act of sympathy, but another asked you this: Was this the Pokemon that was crying out?
You once again look at the web and see a bunch of tinier spider Pokemon, Joltik, crawling all over the web. This Galvantula must be a mother looking over her babies, but she was still sad. Maybe some of them went missing!
Your assumption was correct, as it was looking around the web, noticing three empty spaces amongst the small group of Joltik. So that must be it! The mother's upset because some of her children disappeared! You have to find them!
Find the mother Galvantula's babies: Adopt 3 Joltik from the Safari Zone
Task 9/20
In your arms, you carry three shivering Joltik, still a little bit startled by you scooping them out of that weird nest you found, but you're glad you helped another Pokemon who was in trouble. You place the three Joltik on the ground and they quickly scurried up their mother's web. The Galvantula looks happier now, so that must have been the reason why she look so depressed. Still, when she looked at you, she was a little bit scared you might attack her. You still feel a little bit tingly because of the zap from the web, but you didn't have any hard feelings. It was, hopefully, more than likely an accident.
Just then, you hear an odd noise, like something is slowly but surely approaching. Then all of a sudden, a bright blue blur streaked across the net and as it finished, all of the Joltiks were gone! You look up and caught a glimpse of the culprit. It looked similar to a vampire bat with a long scorpion-like tail and two huge claws carrying the ten Joltik babies. It turned it head and flashed its bright yellow eyes. It was a Gliscor!
That particular one was different though. You know that a regular Gliscor was purple. This one was instead bright blue! It was a shiny one! A rare sight indeed! That was when everything suddenly clicked! That nest where those three Joltik were found must've been that of that Gliscor! Now it's coming back with a vengeance!
You had no time to marvel at its rarity. That thing had to be stopped or who knows what it'll do to those poor little babies! The Gliscor was fast, so you needed a faster Pokemon that could possibly finish the job!
Defend the Galvantula and her children: Have a Scyther, level 70 or higher, in your party
Task 10/20
"Go, Scyther!" In a flash, the green mantis Pokemon appeared and immediately pursued the shiny Gliscor. The creature was kind of far away at that point, but Scyther appeared to be much faster. From the corner of its eye, the Gliscor saw the Pokemon that was gaining on it. It tried to fly faster, but before it could do anything, it was struck by a powerful X-Scissor attack. It let out a loud cry before it fell.
The bad news: it lost its grip on the ten Joltik! Thankfully, Scyther flew in at the nick of time and caught all ten of them with ease. Sure it looked a bit silly carrying all them, but it didn't mind. It then flew back down to where you and Galvantula were and gently placed the Joltik on the web. The ten chirped happily, glad to be back with their mother!
You called Scyther back to its Pokeball and were about to turn back home when you notice the same glimmering path that lead you to this web. This time, it lead to a path east of Galvantula's home. Knowing that you have to continue on your journey, you bid Galvantula and her Joltik farewell and go on your merry way.
This pathway seemed a little bit longer than the previous one, but you didn't mind. You looked ahead and noticed that it ended at a rather large river and in the middle of that body of water there was a mound of earth with a small cage perched on top. Inside there looked to be some things flopping around like they're desperately trying to escape! This situation looked dire, so you had to hurry right along before it gets worse!
Get to the river: Get 1,150 interactions
Task 11/20 You make it to the river's area, wipe the sweat off your brow, and immediately sit down to take a look at what's happening inside that cage. What you saw inside it shocked you. There were three Finneon weakly gasping for air! They were barely alive! You were so startled that you almost began to cry! Who would do such a thing?
You get to the edge of the river to get a better view. As you get a closer look, you wished you didn't. The Finneon's skin looked almost completely dry. Their cries were so faint that someone else would need a very good ear to hear them. They were slowly but surely flopping their butterfly-like tail fins. Indeed it was pitiful.
You were so shaken that you just wanted to get them out! You look at the cage and saw that, like almost every other cage, there was a padlock keeping the door shut, but the key was not even near it! You then looked around for at least a single glimmer, but to no avail. This was going to be a harder task than you would imagine. And the one day you forget to bring a Water Pokemon! Without hesitation, you leapt into the river and began your hopefully not-in-vain search for the key. The Finneon are counting on you!
Find what the Finneon are looking for: Exploration item task
Task 12/20
As you swim up the river, you notice a strange gleam coming from the bottom. You take a breath and dive deeper. The water blinds your eyes a bit, but you were still able to make out a shape of a key under the muck. You grab for it, only getting nothing. After a few more attempts though, you were finally able to grab that key!
You quickly swim up to the surface and as you come back up, take a few gasping breaths. Thankfully you didn't get the bends. You were soaked from head to toe, your clothes completely drenched, and you were so focused on getting those Finneon out that you forgot to take off your sneakers! Wet shoes just have to be the worst! Still, the Finneon were just up ahead and you had to make a quick swim for it before it's too late! You hold the silver key between your teeth, holding it down tightly as you started to swim upstream.
Minutes passed and you make it to where the Finneon were. You were thankful that you didn't accidentally swallow the key on your way here. Taking it out of your mouth, you put the key in the padlock and proceeded to open up the cage.
Free the Finneon from the cage: Release 3 Finneon
Task 13/20 The Finneon inside the cage were so weak that they couldn't get in the water themselves after you opened it. So, you took each of the three and put them in the water in order to perk them up again. They didn't seem too responsive at first, but within a few minutes, they were slowly but surely starting to regain their energy. Before you knew it, they were splashing and swimming around with glee. The three then turned to you, smiling. They were proud of you for going through all of that, even if you had all your clothes and no Pokemon assistance. The Finneon then began to swim away from you as you wave goodbye. Nothing's better than making new friends.
Just then, as you were about to step out of the water, you feel something wet and slimy wrap around your left ankle. Your eyes widened in shock as you looked around to see what the cause of that attack was. Nothing, so you did what any person in trouble would do and try to yank your leg out of the tight trip this thing seemed to have. You even tried to get the slippery gray rope or whatever it was untied with your hands, but it was all in vain. Even with all that effort, you were not able to get that thing to let go of you. Tough cookie.
You still tried to get out of the shallow part of the river to see if something would happen. As you were about to, you hear something rise up from out of the water. You took a quick glance and saw a gigantic blue jellyfish with two large red spots and one smaller one on its forehead. Its gray tentacles flopped around and struck the water and the ground like whips. Its eyes stared you down like you were its prey. It was a Tentacruel!
Before you knew it, the Jellyfish Pokemon was reeling you in like a fish on a hook! You try to hang on to the small mound of dirt that kept the cage afloat, but you quickly lost grip and were now seconds away from becoming Poke-food! You had to think fast!
Escape from the attacking Tentacruel: Get 1,600 interactions
Task 14/20
Mere seconds before the Tentacruel consumed you, you made one more desperate attempt to esacpe its clutches. You opened your mouth and bit down on the tentacle that had tightly gripped your leg. Tentacruel were known for being resilient, but even with that, the Tentacruel cried out in pain, inadvertantly unwrapping its tentacle from your ankle. While it was distracted by the surprise attack, you got out of the river as quickly, grabbed your bag, and ran off. Today started off as a normal one. You just wanted to go on an easy-going walk, and before you knew it, you were aiding an injured Ledyba, batling a stray Sneasel, saving a Galvantula's babies, stopping a thief from taking them, freeing a trio of Finneon, and just seconds ago, you were almost in the stomach of a giant jellyfish! This day couldn't possibly get any more weird...or annoying.
Oh yeah, it does. That same strange sparkling path that led you to the web and the river was pointing straight towards something. You look ahead and notice a strange dark-colored castle towering almost to the clouds. On top was that same sparkle you kept seeing, but it seemed a little weaker than before. Even though it was starting to get on your nerves, you follow the light path anyway.
You keep running towards the strange castle for a few minutes until something strange happened. The light on top the castle slowly began to grow dimmer and dimmer. Before you knew it, that sparkling light path that always popped up went away, and the light on top of the castle went off. What's worse, the sun was starting to set, meaning it's almost night time. You are heading in the right direction, but when that light went off, suddenly you started feeling upset, like all hope seemed to have gone away along with that light. You sat down on the ground and took a deep breath. Numerous questions started to pop up in your head. What is this all about? Why did you have to rescue those Pokemon? Why were those others trying to stop you? Are you some chosen one or something?
As you pondered those burning questions, you move your right leg a bit only for it to hit something hard. You look to your leg and saw that it hit what appeared to be an egg. It was light blue with purple sides. Curious, you decide to pick the egg up. It seemed heavy though it didn't really look like it. You start holding it when it began to glow! What's happening?
Hatch the strange egg: Have a Zubat egg in your party
Task 15/20
The light coming from the egg faded as a small blue bat appeared in its place. Its first sound was a light screech. It was a Zubat! As the Bat Pokemon began to flutter around you, you thought of a plan. Everyone knows that bats are nocturnal, and you still want to find the source of that light that kept following you around these past couple of hours. And Zubat, along with its evolutions, are really fast and are really good at finding things in the dark. Eureka!
You tell the Zubat all about what had been happening to you lately. Either it thought you were telling the truth or you were just plain crazy. Anyway, the Zubat agreed to help you out. Finally a breakthrough! You command Zubat to go in the direction of the castle in the distance, but as it tried to, it suddenly looked as if it got lost! It was flying around like someone shut its eyes! You do realize that this Zubat was just a hatchling and it would take a while for it to get used to going long distances without getting lost. The bad part of it all? You didn't have that much time! So you thought about this some more and you decided that you were going to try to evolve the thing to its final form, Crobat. There was not that much time to do it in, and the night can only last so long, so you had to do this quickly before the sun came up!
You grabbed Scyther and Charizard's Pokeballs and tossed them into the air. The two Pokemon appeared in front of you and you explained your plan. They were going to attempt to make Zubat stronger as soon as they can!
You went on to explain your other plan to the Zubat. At first it seemed a little scared with the thought of it being constantly struck and attacked by your two comrades, but you assured it that by doing this, it'll become stronger and possibly evolve! It took a few minutes to convince it, but it worked. With that, you ordered Charizard and Scyther to use Flamethrower and Slash respectively on the Zubat. The two executed their attacks which struck the Zubat hard. It was sent tumbling in the skies, but it still held out.
For hours and hours, the two Pokemon fought with the Zubat, with the bat starting to learn how to dodge their attacks and fight back. The three were getting exhausted, as was you, who was finally that rest you wanted. You closed your eyes and started to snooze when once again a bright light interrupted everything. Is it finally happening?

@Doctor Octopus - Form Accepted
I liked your story it was well written, though i need to say if its an exploration for a shiny pokemon especially a legendary the requirements and the tasks within the exploration would probably be higher. When it comes to explorations the equation should be requirements + Task = Reward. So you need to make sure what your requirements and tasks are equals your reward and since its pretty nice as a shiny(Legend) then both should be high for example:
you did raise requirements and stuff those are decent. Tasks you could have berry feeds between 100-200 Pokemon level 100
But also since it is such a specially reward you could also have an exploration that is a one time thing for a shiny. Like with the token exploration where you only do it once and change the story up a bit.
