Standing at only 5’5” and of a slim build, Elliot has always looked several years younger than his true age. His androgynous facial features do not particularly help, although now he is able, he occasionally enjoys sporting fine stubble on his chin.
Dark brown and straight, Elliot’s hair varies in length due to his forgetting or just not caring to cut it for months on end. Often, it hangs just to the top of his cool grey eyes, which are seen through glasses with a rectangular steel rim to correct for his short-sightedness.
No longer as reckless as he was in his youth, Elliot’s pale skin is not as often covered in scrapes and bruises. Instead, his arms, legs and his small hands sport small faded scars, probably achieved by falling from trees or cliffs, or flying over the handlebars of his beloved mountain bike.
Elliot has recently developed a greater awareness of clothing and has discovered the ability to put together outfits that match. His look is rather casual and does not tend to stand out from the crowd. He does strongly prefer ‘cold’ colours over ‘warm’ tones. Blue, purple, grey, black and perhaps an occasional touch of green characterise his outfits. Elliot wears simple, plain, cotton t-shirts beneath either a hoodie or an unbuttoned plaid shirt in complimentary colours, the sleeves of which are pushed up to his elbows. Layering allows him to keep cool or warm as the weather conditions dictate. On the bottom half, jeans are always a favourite; practical, comfortable and durable. His pairs tend to be frayed at the ankle as they just reach the floor due to his height. In summer, jeans are replaced by knee-length denim shorts. His favourite shoes are comfortable black canvas pumps. They are cheap to replace and get worn out often. In winter, he is usually seen wearing black boots beneath his jeans to keep out the snow, and an old military coat found in a charity shop which he took the effort to dye a shade of purple and sew a couple of patches onto. He also loves to wear black fingerless gloves in order to keep warm and maintain dexterity.
Personality: (click to showhide)
The nineteen-year-old has two sides to his personality. Since becoming involved in science, Elliot has grown more calm, calculating and serious out of necessity. He is not prone to bouts of hyperactivity and definitely not to childish giggling. He finds such people irritating. Working on an interesting project, Elliot will ‘zone out’ from the rest of the world and remain immensely focused for a period of time, and does not like to be interrupted or bothered. He is an introvert through and through.
Elliot has always been introverted, even in childhood. He does not trust people easily, if at all. He maintains a high degree of independence and believes that every person should ultimately be responsible for themselves and not rely on the actions of others. It follows that he detests showing signs of weakness. Elliot is often rude without meaning to be, for he merely states his mind and does not always consider how his words sound to others. He is not the type to go out of his way to do random favours for others.
Despite the stoic front he likes to present, Elliot is quick to panic. When confronted with an urgent or new scenario, he will act recklessly, letting his body act before his logical mind has the chance to rationalise the situation. Elliot craves these new situations and the excitement they bring, which is why he enjoys adventure sports and travelling so much. His youthful self was a bit of a risk-taker because of this.
Biography: (click to showhide)
Elliot is the only child of a now-divorced couple. Though he was born in Mahogany Town, Elliot was only a toddler when his mother bought an old log cabin beside the Lake of Rage and upped sticks. Elliot has no memories of living in the town itself, only be the lakeside. The reason behind this was for his mother to pursue a lifelong dream; owning and running a successful hotel. The large cabin was quickly renovated and opened to the public, advertising a tranquil setting in which to escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. The father of the family just went along with it, supporting his wife’s dream.
The Young family’s son did not take kindly to lots of new people invading his home. Elliot always held suspicions of any guests whom he came into contact with, including the children. Particularly the children. They were always so much more hyper and loud than he had ever been. Instead, he preferred to avoid them and make his own fun. Elliot’s fun included reading both fiction and non-fiction (mostly relating to either pokémon, science or faraway places), but his absolute favourite thing to do was get outside and explore the surrounding nature for himself. Though the pokémon may have made the lake more dangerous than it could be, at least there were no gangs or criminals in Johto’s rural far north. And besides, Elliot’s parents were too busy running the cabin, now dubbed ‘The Golden Gyarados Inn’.
Elliot’s workaholic mother saw little of her son, and his father also maintained a distance. Elliot grew up as an isolated child, though he did not resent this. Nor did he particularly care that his parents split up due to the business putting such a strain on their relationship. Elliot just kept doing what he normally did; grabbing the latest in a series of mountain bikes and hitting the wilds. One thing he did resent though, was being coerced into working for his mother during his teenage years.
It happened one day in his fifteenth year that Elliot found himself and his bike miles from home in the mountains. The weather was chilly, and he stumbled across a small, weak-looking pokémon. He knew that it was a sneasel – they were not too rare a sight in Johto’s mountains. This young male, however, refused to accept medicine from Elliot. Instead, the boy took the pokémon to the Mahogany Town pokémon centre to save him being ravaged by stronger wild beasts. It was then when Elliot began his first pokémon journey on a whim. He did not look back.
Sneasel did not take kindly to Elliot at first. He refused to follow directions and attacked without warning. However, Elliot struggled on and they travelled southwards into the rest of Johto. Sneasel became grudgingly more accepting, realising that himself and Elliot were more alike than either of them would ever care to admit.
Elliot travelled mostly for the experience of travelling and seeing the world outside of his isolated village. He captured several pokémon and won badges from the Violet and Azalea gyms. However, he decided that taking the path of the Pokémon League Trainer was not for him. He felt it would be the right thing to do if he released his pokémon back into the wild. Retaining only his closest pokémon companions – Sneasel and a female zubat who was the first pokémon Elliot captured – he gave up on being a badge collecting trainer and took on a succession of positions at research laboratories around Johto and beyond.
Since terminating his first journey at the age of sixteen, Elliot’s life has consisted of working under esteemed professors between travelling to various locations on extensive fieldwork trips. This led him to Furoh – a new region for him to explore and discover.

Egg MovesMale
Sneasel // Naughty Nature // Keen Eye // Lvl. 21
Sneasel is as fiercely independent and inconsiderate as his trainer. He often attacks without direction if he feels it is justified. Sneasel is highly aware that he is Elliot’s favourite and is secretly proud of that fact. He loves to battle, showing off his strength, speed and cunning wits to anybody who will allow him.
Fake Out // Screech // Faint Attack // Fury Swipes
Female
Zubat // Careful Nature // Inner Focus // Lvl. 16
Elliot’s second pokémon is quite the opposite of his first. Zubat is more reserved and prefers not to fight unless it is absolutely necessary. She does often feel the need to prove herself useful in other ways, though is easily intimidated by strong, aggressive pokémon and trainers.
Leech Life // Supersonic // Astonish // Bite
