So, we have 17 types overall. What do you think is the most unloved type? (Game-wise, fandom-wise, whatever).
To me, Steel seems pretty neglected. They're not as aesthetically pleasing as the rest and that's what a lot of us go by. Skarmory is really cool though. Being popular in the metagame probably helps. ETA: Oh geez. I just realized I made a typo in the title. -------------------- |

I agree with those that have said Steel and Rock types. I guess it seems most people don't appreciate them much, I can say that I sure don't. I just don't like the appearance of a lot of them and I'm not a huge fan of the moves they use.
I also kind of think the Flying type in general is a bit unloved. I mea sure, people love Pokemon like Charizard and Lugia, which are part Flying, but it just seems that the type as a whole is rather ignored. So, as for my favorites of those type, for Steel, I'd probably say Lairon. And for Rock...I guess I'd go with Tyranitar. And for Flying type, my favorite is of course Lugia. I think a lot of poison types are pretty unloved. Which is a shame because I love Koffing (even if it probably smells).

I would have to say rock types are the most unloved overall.
They tend to have the most weaknesses in game, normally somehow getting a couple of 4x weaknesses just because. They also tend to have pretty meh designs, although their are exceptions of course. (Tyranitar/Fossil pkemon.) And overall, they end up being the but of a joke most of the time. Of course they also were just one-up'd by steel in gen II, as steel is totally suppose to be a stronger version of rock. (I <3 Steel.) -------------------- |

Normal seems hated to me,I look through TCG Decks only to see heavy hitters like Charizard and Arceus(Some times) but theres like no Normals! The only normal that is loved is the Legendary's but when you look at all the small yet useful guys,it makes me sad to know no body's using them! I like Lugia but go Chansey for healing! LOL

The most unloved types are probably either Ice and Poison. They kinda suck in terms of competitive. Ice is only slightly better, since it hits the aggravating Dragon type with a SE hit.
Favorite Ice type: Froslass Favorite Poison type: A tie between Arbok, Seviper and Drapion. -------------------- |

I would have to agree that bug is the most unloved type overall. Mine however, is bug. I just dislike the usual designs for bugs. :\

I'd say it's either Bug, or Poison. It's hardly Steel at all, when you think about it. So many competitive teams have Scizor (I can't say that I'm exempt from this...) and Skarmory, though, Scizor can count for Bug as well... Poison is just almost never seen in battle, though.
Bug: Scizor. Poison: uh... Venusaur isn't too bad. -------------------- |

to me, Ice, Bug, Ghost and Dragon types were the most neglected (Ice because of the low numbers of pure types, and Ghost because they've got the fewest pokemon of that type).
Bug types do tend to be weaker defensively, but like Poison types, can inflict status ailments. They're also effective against Psychic, apparently one of the more common types in teams. Favourite of the bug type: Scyther, Scizor, Ninjask, Heracross Ghost types are neglected a bit as well (seeing as they have one of the fewest type pools) Favourite of the Ghost type: Gengar, Sableye, Giratina Ice types to me are neglected because I never really see them in teams anymore, because many of their weaknesses are from common types, so the Ice type Pokemon are disappearing, but the moves are still sticking around. Favourite of the Ice type: Articuno, Lapras, Spheal -------------------- Click above to go to the Party! Normal and Bug-Types get no love.
Which is strange, because Snorlax and Scyther are kick-ass. -------------------- |

I would have to say Rock and Normal types are pretty neglected, and my favourites from both are Tyranitar and Persian respectively. Two of my absolute favourites coincidentally.
