I always thought breeders were supposed to breed Pokemon, not make them look all fancy and crap like that. I bet they can't tell which ones are male and which ones are female.

Hmmm this is a good point, we never do see Brock actually perform any Breeder-like activities in the show...My opinion on the matter is that while he never actually "breeds" any pokemon Brock consitently shows skills that might be necessary for an aspiring one through the care of his Sudowwodo while it was still a Bonsly and such. Or I might be wrong and Brock has, in fact, been a phony throught the entire show

actually in the games pokemon breeders don't breed them either, they just raise hordes at a time (unlike me who usually raises 1 at a time) so they're all liars

He also makes food for Pokemon, so I guess that counts for something.
His Pokemon might just breed with the random ones they meet in their journey though. -------------------- |

I could not imagine the TV networks showing a character breeding Pokemon. It would be strange overall. Brock has the necessary skills that a Pokemon breeder has, but the reason why Brock doesn't breed Pokemon is because it could cause unwanted tumoil.

I see what you mean, but still people who are a little older, say a teenager who still watches the show, would probably question what Brock really wants. -------------------- |

Well in the show Brock is always saying he wants to become a pokemon breeder... not once does he say he is one.

Pokemon Breeders aren't really supposed to breed. They have things like type advantages and disadvantages, a pokemon's favorite kind of food, and lots of other things. AND they hoard lots of pokemon.

Blame 4Kids, because breeding animals = making them have sex, and because of that, 4Kids made it so that he does NOT act like a "breeder" because it involves sexual themes, so blame them
This is also why in D/P/Pt, it is said that nobody has ever seen a Pokemon lay eggs, not that they have actually seen it, CAUSE THEY HAVE SEEN IT, 4Kids just covers it up So in the end, it's all 4Kids fault that Brock does not ACT like a breeder...... -------------------- CLICK MY ROBOT POKEMON ARMY OR ELSE!!!!!! My icon was made by MelNathea on DeviantART My DeviantART account Water types are weak against Fire types if they use Thunder as armor. Flareon can use dive and aim for the horn. Then finish it off with False Swipe although it may faint if it uses Endure...but thats just because everyone knows Arbok evolves into Seviper |

Brock doesn't Breed, - Tracy does!
Tracy's Marrill had an Azurill egg which went to Misty. Okay Brock may not breed offspring, but he has hatched a pokemon egg and got Happiny. He focuses more on raising and keeping pokemon in tip-top shape side of the Pokemon breeder spectrum. Brock has taken steps to further himself as a breeder, by developing healthy and delicious pokemon food. By being a walking, talking pokemon encyclopedia, raising Suzie's Vulpix and raising his baby Bonsly and Happiny. -------------------- |

i always took the term "breeder" as a encompassing term for just caring for pokemon. In off show time or back home brock probably breeds pokemon for all we know.
And it's not like it's something they could easily put in the show really. xD |
