In the games when you have a Pokemon's dex info, you can find where it's found, if applicable. I was thinking that it would be useful, but of course it wouldn't work quite the same on GPX. I do have an idea for how it could work, though I'm not sure how feasible it is.
Basically, a tiered Pass Power that tells you, where the Pokemon you've chosen is--if anywhere. Very Rare and Novelty would be excluded entirely, of course, because that wouldn't be fair. It wouldn't bring up the egg/Pokemon, just tell you that yes, the one you're looking for is currently in the lab, or the shelter, etc. I'm not sure about cost. Suggestions on that? Details/Other limitations: When you activate the power, there would be a dropdown where you can pick the species you want to look for and you can only look for species that you already have the dex info for. I've debated whether higher tiers would let you pick more than one species and I'm currently undecided. Tier 1-- Just first evolutions, and the Safari zone excluded (Possibly a limit on rarity to only commons/uncommons as well?). No indication of number Tier 2-- Safari Zone included. (If Tier 1 has a rarity limit, Rares included) Tier 3-- Evolutions included, and possibly tells you the number available. If they were also timed, perhaps a color indicator while you're on the page searching--green if it's still there, and red if the situation changes and there are none left in that particular area. Suggestions, concerns and ideas for improvements? I know I would personally use this a lot, if it was available. I like knowing that I'm not refreshing in vain when I'm looking for a specific Pokemon. -------------------- My Party Link

You mean it tells you if it's in the shelter?

And the lab.
Say you're looking for a Gulpin, but you're not shiny hunting it so you can't use Sweet Honey or Hunt Power. So you use this one. There are some in the shelter, but none in the lab, so Location power would say maybe "Lab: no, Shelter: yes" and you could go off merrily refreshing the shelter until it brings up the Gulpin egg you're looking for. Or, say you need a specific Pokemon for an exploration. So pay the extra for the highest tier and see if there's some in the Safari Zone. If there are, refresh away. If there aren't pick up one of the pre-evolutions or eggs instead. It doesn't give you what you're looking for, it just tells you if what you're looking for is there. Does that make more sense? -------------------- My Party Link

mmm I'm kinda for and against this.
For because it sounds interesting and new and cool... against because it's not really that hard to find certain things (apart from Lab Rares) -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. True. If the species you're looking for is indeed in the lab/shelter/safari zone it's not all that hard to find--though sometimes it can take quite a bit of refreshing. I've used a Sweet Honey before and brought up more eggs than I had room for and then had an egg hatch a minute later and spent a good while refreshing before it brought up one of the other eggs the Sweet Honey showed me. Now it's possible that during that time someone else had picked up all the eggs I was thinking were there and the ones I found were donated after, but it can be hard to say.
Anyway, I would rather pay a few pass orbs to know something is there than waste time I could be spending clicking on searching for something that isn't, you know? I can't speak for anyone else though. -------------------- My Party Link

It would be useful for hunting Lab Rares and Exploration Pokemon... while on the one hand it seems like it would provide too much of an advantage for Pass Orb collectors, we DO have the Shiny Hunt Power that gives a similar "advantage", too.
On the other other hand, it seems like it would make Sweet Honey obsolete, unless it was a one-time activation (i.e., you use the power, pick your Pokemon, then get the notification "Yeah it's there!"/"Nope it ain't!", after which the power vanishes). Eh... as much as I would abuse the hell out of it to get my Lab Eevees/Rotom/Unova rares, I'm going to have to "vote" against this :/ -------------------- [align=center]add me for daily clicks [735/1000]

If it is timed, I would think a really short time limit is best. Like 5/10/15 at most. But honestly I'd be just as happy with a one time yes/no thing. I thought about saying no Rares period, actually, but And perhaps for shiny hunt Pokemon it wouldn't work--though if it did, I would probably use Sweet Honey or Hunt Power on top of it. Location to tell me it's there, and then the Sweet Honey or Hunt power to snatch it up. ...so yeah, maybe it should be that you're not allowed to pick Pokemon you're shiny hunting. -------------------- My Party Link
