America, what is it, and what do it do? Nobody really knows, but we can do a lot better. This is where you can bash the not-so United States of America about what we're doing wrong and (hopefully) provide some suggestions for improvement. Allow me to start off by talking about the right-wing extremists. This is what they need to do:

I would probably say racism towards blacks from other countries. Or so I heard, not from USA but to be quite honest, if the USA isn't racist towards the blacks or whatnot, I wouldn't heard this kind of thing. No offense, but this is my two-cents.

You can't base a country off of hearsay. :/ Every country has racist people, tbh. Stereotyping doesn't exactly give a lot to discuss, and it would actually offend some Americans who aren't racist(myself included). I can say for certain America is no more racist than any other country, thanks. -------------------- |

Allow me to start off by talking about the right-wing extremists. Nothing to do about them but get rid of them, which isn't happening soon, and lots more will come. :/ Your move. You have a good reason to "get rid of" an entire group of people who have a different opinion than you? It's OK to disagree, that's why Freedom of Speech is awesome. But to call for someone's removal simply because you disagree with them is...extremist. QUOTE What`s wrong with America is that it`s not Canada. lol. I'd say that it is becoming more like Canada...and that's what's wrong with America :P. Oh well, haters gonna hate. -------------------- PANE Mod PANE x2 (click to show ) Credit for 2gamer's Seel of Approval (click to show ) |

There's a lot of racists and non-racists. My area has almost no racism in it, but the area I used to live in does.Allow me to start off by talking about the right-wing extremists. What`s wrong with America is that it`s not Canada. lol. Trollolololol, but the shape of Maine hasn't been consistent. Its north border has been moving all around, from almost splitting Canada into two parts, almost level with New Hampshire and Vermont's north border, and everywhere in between. Speaking of state shapes, the day after Pearl Harbor *salutes* the shapes of California and Oregon would have changed by the not-existent-on-any-map state of Jefferson. It would have taken land from northern California and southern Oregon, but instead of becoming the 49th state, the US declared war on Japan. It's a good thing that they make such good technology, otherwise we might still hold a grudge. This is kinda akward because I'm an American typing this on a Japanese product Also, Raven (you stalker[no JK it's just a coincidence]) that's kinda what I meant when I typed it. (Ya can't think at midnight, huh?) I'll go change that. -------------------- |

Those are just the stupid ones. They are afraid, and fear is fuelling their hatred towards gays. But guess what? Not everyone in the USA thinks alike. if they did, there would be none of this anti-gay bullshit. I, for one am a gay rights advocate. Is that enough for you?

What?
Seriously, what's wrong with America? Lets first say whats wrong with every other country in this worlds, cause I think they more-or-less have the same issues. People only see America tho, and not the rest of the world. Im not an American citizen or anything, which is exactly why I think people should stop being so focused on the America like it's the center of all problems and the center of the world. Sure, it is one of the strongest forces on this planet, but actually focusing so much on it makes it be one. And that is a problem, problem of the world. There's so much alternative exits and solutions but people only see The United States. No offense to any Americans, because I know lovely people who leave there, just letting out a common prejudice and stereotypes about America, other than the bad ones. You should try watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann (spelling of last name has to be off) Enlighten yourself. Also, I'd like to talk about some big current issues.
1)Syria: The issue is brought up, and Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum basically say "LET'S BOMB IRAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 2)NYPD outside of NYC: What do we have the FBI for? And just because the people that they are monitoring are Muslims? Wow... 3) Women's birth rights: GEEZ!!!!!!!! Get an all-female panel to talk about it, not all guys! 4)(not really an issue) The 2012 Republican nomination race: There were only plans A, B, and C. A and B failed. C is 2016. I think that's enough to get an idea. -------------------- |

It's not that I hate my country, I just like to point out what's been done wrong. The reason why there isn't really a clear point is because I have ideas, but if I speak up about it, nobody IRL would care. They'd just laugh and go home. If you could just see into my thoughts...

Its just the way you are expressing your opinions. Your second post is pretty well thought out. That first post was just the wrong way to start the thread :/
Perhaps you could do research about what you want to say and maybe use what those people have to say to at least formulate your thoughts. Also, providing facts is a good way to support your argument. |
