The other day I was about to connect to the Official Server on Shoddy, when I noticed a new server labeled "Smogon University". So, being a bit curious as to the differences this server might have over Official, I registered and logged on. To make a long story short, I saw it had a UU ladder, I threw together a UU team, and clicked Find Match...

This is a battle between SMGT (Me), and Ancien Regime (A Mod on Smogon).

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause
Ancien Regime sent out Altaria (lvl 100 Altaria ?).
SMGT sent out Persian (lvl 100 Persian ?).
Ancien Regime switched in Steelix (lvl 100 Steelix ?).
Persian used Hypnosis.
Steelix fell asleep!

I select Hypnosis right off the bat so I can set up a Nasty Plot or two. Thinking that I'm about to use Fake out, AR switches in his Steelix, who gets put to sleep.

Seeing that I'm not the standard sleep inducer, he switches in his Hitmonlee to take the special attack.

Ancien Regime's Hitmonlee fainted.

Predicting the switch, he uses Stone Edge. But little does he know that I had the Focus Sash.

Argh! I always predict wrong with Sucker Punch. I thought that he would predict a switch and try to boost his stats. Ah well...

I switch in Drifblim to try and set up on Absol, but his Steelix comes in. This is where that Hypnosis in the beginning comes into play.

Safely behind my Sub, I go for the OHKO. Unfortunately, it doesn't KO it, and I'm stuck trying to predict the Sucker Punch again...

Thinking that this Altaria must be Scarf'd or Specs'd, I bring Glaceon in.

He lets his Drapion get KO'd... I had no clue why he would this, but I put my guard down, and this proved fatal.

Altaria's special attack was harshly lowered.

I really don't know what I was thinking here. Sure, it was my first UU battle and I was sort of nervous, but this was just plain stupid.

I bring out my Hitmonlee (Scarf'd) to try and revenge kill his Altaria. He switches to his Leafeon to absorb the physical attack. Suddenly, a plan hatches in my mind...

I'm glad you showed that Smogon mod. I find most of them tend to be quite cocky.

I find them very cocky also. I hate it when they don't say good game. I mean, it's like saying thank you when someone opens the door; It's a common courtesy. I'll try to get another warstory up and hopefully get a bit more criticism, but I haven't been playing Shoddy lately, so it may be a little while

Saying Good Game to an opponent, isn't really common courtesy to a lot of people, it's a debated subject. Many people, such as your self find it rude when people don't, but those people don't see anything wrong with it. I think that it's nice when people do say GG, but I don't find it offensive if they don't. But anyway, back on topic, I thought that the warstory was very good, I especially like the part at the end where it looks like your about to be defeated, and then, it's like Sucker punch. It was quite funny.
