I think there should be a way to hide eggs in the shelter that you already have the pokedex information for, and only show mystery eggs. This would be useful if someone was trying to get the pokedex data for eggs they don't have yet, so they don't have to hover over every single egg looking for 'mystery egg', especially if they have a lot of the egg dex entries already.
Maybe an item could be created to do this, or just make repel usable at the shelter as well as the lab? -------------------- |

I'm not so sure this idea is needed.
I believe there is an achievement for hatching 1,500 eggs of the same species. So that item would not be very useful in that instance. I think if a person plays the game long enough they'll learn to recognize when there's a Mystery Egg in the Shelter because it is unfamiliar. The spriters do a great job with making each egg unique so I think you'll learn how to differentiate the eggs soon enough. -------------------- Avatar by Cycloneblaze at Cycloneshop II Banner by http://gpx.plus/user/eevee64 Banner by http://gpx.plus/user/Baymax |

I believe you can also manually hide eggs by right-clicking? It's do-able though

If you're essentially asking for a Repel, but a Shelter version of it, then I personally don't see the harm in this. It'd be a one-turn usage, and you'd be back to normal after one refresh.
But yeah, what Gryphaena said is also true; if you've been here a while, you tend to notice the ones that aren't familiar straight away. I dunno if this applies to anyone else, but I can essentially filter out the eggs I'm looking for by just their colour, i.e. I'm lookin for a Krabby egg today, so I want reddish orange coloured eggs. I dunno if other people can do that though. Maybe it's an experience thing. -------------------- |
