Do you prefer cats or dogs? I personally prefer cats, and I have 3.

I like cats more by far. Dogs smell, yes they do, now shut up. You also have to take them out of the house every time they want to go to the bathroom unless you want them to go in the house, the bark a lot, they try and eat stuff off the table, they follow you around and try to stick their wet, disgusting noses everywhere you are, they need too much attention and they slobber all over. They also play bite which hurts.
Cats go to the litter box, don't jump on you, are light enough to be able to pick them up, don't play bite much at all, don't need that much attention, don't beg for table scraps of much of anything at all, don't try to interrupt your homework and don't smell as much as dogs. That isn't to say that I don't like dogs, I do, but they have to be somebody else's dog.
