Well, I'm thinking to join PANE. I just want some questions answered. OK, here I go!
Questions about starters: Can we find starteds in the wild? -I could understand only ones that aren't starters in the game. Questions about Abilities: Can Pokemon have dream world abilities? Can they have more than one ability? Questions about Pokemon teams: Are there PCs like in the games? Can we have our team on rotation like Ash currently in the anime? Questions about Moves: When teaching moves to a Pokemon, can they use moves from all movesets in all the games they've been in? And also: Questions about breeding: Is there breeding? If there is, is breeding like the games or GPX+? WHat I mean is that is only the female pokemon in the eggs or is it both? Do they have to be in the same egg group? And I think that's it. Thanks to anyone that answers my questions. This post has been edited by PokeCutie999: Jun 29 2011, 09:12 AM -------------------- |

I am putting in my two cents. I am NOT a PANE mod, but was before, so I have a little inside knowledge. PANE mods will be the definitive answer.
Can we find starters in the wild?
-I could understand only ones that aren't starters in the game. I believe they can be found in the wild. I have seen no documentation as mentioned above that they can only be fond near Fidona, and since Gen V pokemon have been introduced and spread due to lab incidents, you can essentially come up with reasons to have your catch done anywhere, so long as the excuse is believable. Can Pokemon have dream world abilities? According to this post, you can have any ability you want. There is currently not an in game or out of game procedure for swapping the abilities, but I highly suggest contacting a PANE mod at the very least to get this OK'd. Can they have more than one ability? No, they may not. When teaching moves to a Pokemon, can they use moves from all movesets in all the games they've been in? Yes. You may mix and match, and I believe the default is a pokemon may learn a move from any list at the lowest level. For example, if it learned a move at 15 in gen III, but the move is not learned until 23 in gen V, your pokemon could learn it at 15. Same goes for the reverse: If it learns the move earlier in Gen V, then it can learn the move at the earlier level. This also counts for a pokemon getting new moves. While it's best to RP it, the move can simply be one of the ones they know from the start of the next battle. Is there breeding? If there is, is breeding like the games or GPX+? WHat I mean is that is only the female pokemon in the eggs or is it both?It has been my experience that the mother determines the species and the father the egg moves, like in the games. A mod may say otherwise. Do they have to be in the same egg group? Yes, they must be in the same egg group to breed. That is a fundamental feature of the breeding process. -------------------- |

OK. So PANE Mod official response time.
Can we find starters in the wild? Yes. Can Pokemon have dream world abilities? Yes. Can they have more than one ability? No. Are there PCs like in the games? Yes. Can we have our team on rotation like Ash currently in the anime? Yes. When teaching moves to a Pokemon, can they use moves from all movesets in all the games they've been in? Yes. Is there breeding? Yes. If there is, is breeding like the games or GPX+? WHat I mean is that is only the female pokemon in the eggs or is it both? Like the games. Do they have to be in the same egg group? Yes (As before, this functions just like the games). A separate note on breeding. If you do not wish to breed Pokemon, you can get eggs in a variety of ways - just clear it with a Mod as you would a normal capture. ~LA -------------------- Darryn Kellor ~ ~ PANE Moderator ~ ~ Lori Pardare PANE Characters (click to show ) LA's Plays (click to show ) Unovalocke (click to show ) |
