Well not actually my first shiny. I have a gyrados and pidgeotto on that same game. On another I have a rhypherior, miolotic, arceus, and slaking. I think maybe one more. But this is the first shiny I actually caught. All the others I got from trades. And it's a weedle. Which means that I get a shiny beedrill. Which I wanted. I am so glad I was paying attention. I didn't even try to battle it though because I was worried I might faint it-even though I did have a lv.9 bulbasaur on my team-so I just threw a quick ball and caught it. I was so freaking excited. Finally. After about three whole years of playing games I caught my first non-event shiny!!!!!! Yay! *dances around in a circle and faints* I'm so happy and I'm going to train him to be a beedrill

I remember how happy I was when I first caught my shiny Trapinch on Emerald oh so long ago. That was the only shiny I've ever caught without it being that Red Gyarados.
