Pokémon Platinum trainers will soon be able to obtain Oak's Letter, the item needed to access little Shaymin!
Log on to the Mystery Gift Wi-fi between September 28th and November 8th to receive it! It may only be America and not Europe as I can't see anything about it on the European site. OMG AWESOME!
I really need to pay attention to the events. One other thing I noticed is that Japan is having an Arceus event for the movie. Future North America Platinum Arceus event perhaps? SWEETNESS, I'd totally forgotten how to do mystery gift but now thanks to the link I've got it. And hopefully I'll be able to get Shaymin too! Love love love love love Shaymin, its such a brat! lol.
--------------------     For now, my collection of noveltie species is complete, including the new summer swinub however, i'm looking for shinies, for specific genders, for specific users (YES! i want a dracowymsy bred by commander wymsy and a zergoose bred by Zerxer and a Bidofo bred by Big Bidoof! Wanna make something of it?) and the goal is always pure breeding pairs whenever possible. I finally got all the corrupted forms, after lots of hard work. i do need lugia. since i turned the only one i got into shadow lugia. i need ditto and i need unown and lots of legendaries. however, new novelties are coming out all the time, and if new ones come out, i will need them. Currently breeding winter vulpix and summer swinub. Currently hunting a male shelderboy. |

Nice. I doubt I'll soft-reset it to be shiny though, but I might try for some good IVs and a good nature.

Well, I wish I had known about this event sooner. I would have waited to get a Shaymin instead of rushing to get one through a trade. XD I guess I'll soft reset for a shiny then. :P

Woohoo! We get it in Asia! Too bad Shaymin is such a pain to catch! It's always Super Fang, Super Fang, Super Fang, Super Fang, Synthesis! And it gets Leech Seed, too! I wish my Giratina still knew Heal Block!
 ETA: Yay! Finally caught it! This is the third time actually, but the other times the IVs sucked or the nature was wrong. I used Endeavor instead of False Swipe and Super Fang! It worked like a charm!

I used Hypnosis and False Swipe.
It probably wasn't so smart to bring a level 60 Gengar and a level 90 Sceptile to the fight since almost any of their moves would surely kill it XD It woke up from Hypnosis once due to the lum berry it was holding but after that... nightie nightie Shaymin  One hit of False Swipe and it was already down to 1 HP
