Hello again! I'm very sorry for the delay, real life and my muse both suddenly decided to be stubborn this week. Anyway, here's my character. I ended up making a male after all, so I guess my question was a moot point.

Name: Azrael

Species: Mightyena

Appearance: He differs slightly from the norm for Mightyena, measuring only 3' tall and weighing roughly 83 pounds. The extra weight is pure muscle and does little to slow him down. He certainly looks like he's been through the wringer more than a few times; his right ear is in tatters, his tail is crooked, and his pelt sports a startling number of bald patches where scratches and bite wounds have scarred over. The worst of these by far is an old jagged scar that circles around the right side of his throat from front to back. The black spiked collar he wears serves to hide a portion of the mark from view, but most of it extends well past the collar's edges and can be seen easily. The first hints of white fur on his muzzle show his advancing age, though it can be hard to notice without taking a closer look.

Personality: In a word, adamant. He has long since developed his worldview, and nothing short of the sky tearing open and Arceus themself stepping forth from the rift to dispute his opinion will make him consider changing it. Said worldview is rather bleak; love and compassion are myths, mercy a lie, and survival of the fittest the law of the land. Most of the time he remains silent, partly because he finds little value in words - actions speak volumes, after all - and partly because he finds little value in wasting breath on those he views as below him for one reason or another. The injury which disfigured his throat and damaged his vocal chords beyond repair may also play a small part in his taciturn behavior, though honestly he seems more grateful for the excuse to avoid most conversation than annoyed by the challenge it presents to make his words understood consistently. He has little patience for cowards, weaklings, and fools. He also tends to fly into a rage at the slightest provocation and is sadistic. The 'nicest' thing about him is that given the choice between fighting a worthy opponent and tearing some helpless creature apart (his two favorite pastimes) he'll always choose the former. This has the unfortunate side effect of causing him to try picking fights with anyone who looks strong. The one surefire way to earn his respect is to beat him in a contest of strength, but be warned - he views each battle as a life-or-death struggle, and he knows quite a few moves not normally part of a Mightyena's repertoire thanks to his diverse lineage. The benefits may just outweigh the risks, however, as he can be a powerful ally if his crueler tendencies are kept in check. At the very least he has a lot of moxie, so there's no worry of him turning tail when the going gets tough.

On a side note, a mystery pokemon will be playing an antagonistic part in all of this. Be wary, i've already started their movements...

Alright. If thy areth still active, I'll be dropping someone in here very soon and edit this very post. Now you'll only have me think of any of my favorite pokémon that haven't been chosen yet... Oh, and the posts' length, Xires, you know me. I've grown my replies overtime, they're now doubled in length (and filled with five times more crap and other irrelevant bullshit, seasoned with the occasional typo. )

I've been dying to rp on this site again!

Name: Melody
Species: Leafeon
Appearance: Melody has seen better days. Even though the pokeball kept her healthy in her long slumber, the lack of sun has left her leaves an autumn red. Her fur is a bit faded as well. She treasures the white scarf she wears around her torso.
Personality: Melody is a rather pessimistic character. She doesn't like conflict and will try to avoid it when possible. She hates being weak, however, and won't show pain unless she's alone or super comfortable around whoever may be in the room with her.

Name: Lyla
Species: Raichu (female)
Appearance: A Raichu abnormally skinny and long for her species. Her tail is twice as long as her body, and is usually seen trailing behind her. Her ears are small, and her odd cheekbones give her the appearance that her cheeks are swollen. All other aspects of her body are unremarkable. She carries a choker with a blue jewel with her.
Personality: Lyla may seem strange to others at first, because of her inability to maintain contact and sentence fragments. But she’s actually a sweety and loves to make new friends, whether they are hostile or not. Her strange sentence fragments make her seem more hilarious than she really is, so her jokes usually come out funnier than expected. However, making fun of or laughing at her strange sentence fragments makes her sad. Many other things make her sad. In fact, its easier to make her sad. When she is sad, Lyla goes into a corner and cries.
