Okay so i was thinking of picking up the pokemon game franchise and i was wondering which one would be best to start off with. Any suggestions?

That is a hard one...See, I started with Soulsilver, then got pearl, then white and now saving up pocket money for Black 2.I think Soulsilver is a great first game, but if you get a new game (Such as Black, White, Black 2, White 2 and when they come out, X and Y) since you get the national dex with every current pokemon on.Go for what you think looks best.I heard one of my friends talking about their pokemon soulsilver game and I got more into pokemon.That was their first game and their Nidoking with Horn Drill.I got soulsilver like they did.Now they think pokemon is "Out of fashion", but I disagree.When he sees X and Y for 3DS only, I wanna see his suprised face!That will be after summer holidays though, so a long time to wait...

Oh i see, well i do intend to grab XY as soon as it hits shelves in the US, but for now i'll be focusing on acquiring all current games. SS was one of the first i thought of since, well, you know Lugia. xD
