I know that this game can be as confusing as calculus, so I'm here to explain to you fellow newbies some stuff in a Q&A format!
Where's my starter? Either go to the lab and click on an egg or go to the shelter and click on an egg/Pokemon. There's something cool in the shop! how do I get money? Clicking on other people's Pokemon is the best way to get them. You can also do other things like battle in the Vs. Seeker (not recommended) or sell items that you find. How can I tell if my Pokemon will breed? Make sure that the pokemon are different genders and that they share an egg group (hover over the tiny egg in the info screen and you'll see the egg groups.) How do I trade Pokemon? You can't. Why? Because the creator was too lazy! Just kidding about that. What Pokemon will hatch from this? WHOA! I can't tell you that! Just take a close look at the egg's art and description. Nine times out of ten, it'll give you the answer. What items should I get? The Pal Pad, the Journal, and definitely the Explorer Kit are all necessary items. What's that icon thing mean? It depends. If it's an egg, it means one of your eggs is ready to hatch. Rope means that your Pokemon in the underground is ready to come out. There are other icons that mean other things. Hope this helps you newbies! -------------------- My favorite type and I wasn't trying to get it. :P Click on the userbar if you want to join my group! I'm a member of this group. About 80% of gamers have the false belief that gaming is ment for competitions only. Copy and paste this into your signature if you are in the 20% that know that gaming is ment for fun. |

And none of those items are "necessary" they're just helpful, like all account upgrades. EDIT - 'd with the page in question. Not everyone will check this out either. =\ Why bother making two places to say the same thing when neither is guaranteed to be read? -------------------- Like anime reviews, stuff and more stuff? Like western animation and things? I do those things here http://fiddletwix.wordpress.com/ |

Can't I just make a useful guide for newbies without all this crap?

I just don't really see it as necessary. Everyone is urged to check out the site's help section anyway when they have an issue.

If they don't take the time to look at the thorough help page the administration put together, well... That's their problem, not mine. Besides, as was mentioned earlier, there's nothing that makes this any more likely to be checked out. -------------------- Administrator of Mercury Ice Forums I click full party even after you switch out Pokemon.
