I'd like to be able to know which eggs in my offspring are going to/would hatch shiny. Of course, this makes it too easy; so how about only the breeder knows? Only the breeder knows - and only about eggs he/she currently doesn't own.

I half agree on this. I don't think you should know instantly after it's been released. How about if it hasn't been hatched after a certain amount of time? Or a counter that counts how many shinies you have bred (which would count eggs that got old and died off)?
If you made it so you instantly knew it was shiny after releasing it and a friend got the egg you could tell them. -------------------- |

Any egg can hatch shiny, they would all be indicated. I see no point in this.

No. :<
Then people could email each other and say "OHEY, YOU GOT MY SHINY I BRED, CONGRATS." No, please. It's supposed to be a surprise, and difficult. =/ No one should know their egg is shiny until it's hatched, unless they got it from a voucher. =/ -------------------- |

No. Even if you don't own the egg, it doesn't matter. Whether it's shiny or not will only ever be revealed once it's hatched.
