'>.> That thing really needs to be taken out. I love him to death, but he gets so annoying! My family despises it when he uses Volt Tackle- he just screams 'Pika!' 50 million times in a row until he hits something.
I know some people love him, but I remember when he was tiny and cute and had an adorable voice! But then he got skinny and his voice changed. 
And he's SUCH an over-used Pokemon in roleplays and fanfiction. -Emo corner-
Don't yell at me. I'm just annoyed at Pikachu these days...

Too bad. Pikachu is the mascot and he is never EVER going to leave.
I wish he would evolve into a Raichu but that's not gonna happen anytime soon either.
If it helps, I hear it was this close from being Clefairy.
Would you prefer that to be Ash's partner?

I don't like Pikachu very well... I hate it, when it scream "PIKA PIKA!" or "PIKACHUUUUUUU!" AAARGHH! I hate it!
Sometimes, Pikachu is little nice, but really sometimes.

I whis to Pikachu evole into Raichu but I know that it won't happen because if Pikachu would evole into Raichu than children wouldn't begging to their pearants for a Pikachu plush or any pikachu item anymore.
I think it's unfair to only Pikachu and it's edvoled form Raichu can learn Volt tackle, I think it would be cool if Shinx or it's evoled frorms could learn volt tackle too.

pikachu has fought like a gazillion battles and should be unstoppable at his level. but he still gets creamed by other pokemon that have barely come out. seriously

but he gets beaten by other pokémon in gyms!!!
like he got beaten by roark's cranidos i think.
and in platinum, roark's cranidos is LVL 14!!!

I never really liked Pikachu. In fact, the only reason it's so popular is because of the anime
I guess this is one of those cases that if it weren't so popular, I'd probably like it more.

Original Pikachu is epic win. How he's changed isn't quite as good, but still all right.

Eh, I wouldn't take it out of the anime if I were given the option. Pikachu has always been the Pokemon mascot, and besides, it just wouldn't be the same without the cute, yellow Pikachu. <3

Wait, what? Pikachu's Voice Actor didn't change with the dubbing switch. They use the Japanese voice actor since Pikachu never speaks a word of English and has the same name in Japan anyway, and IIRC his voice actress has always been Ikue Ohtani.

Pikachu should stay really he's strong his volt tackle is beast plus in season 1 he like a mini version of raichu fat! so no evolving pikachu plus if they evolve buizel then i'll die because buizel is strong the way he is plus i hated when pikachu got pwnd by two raichu's so PIKACHU must stay!!!!!

I'm just sick of Pikachu in general. He seems way overpowered compared to every other Pokemon, but for some stupid reason he loses to Raichus and Gym Leaders' Pokemon. What, does he go back to lvl 1 or something every season?

I actually love Volt tackle..I think the "Pikapikapikapika" thing is cool! But yeah, he is too strong, he needs to evolve, but he must stay in the series.

Eh, I gotta agree with first post. I loved Pikachu in season one... Pikachu was great then.

Just like the previous posts, Pikachu got owned by a level 14 cranidos.

I take it Ash is a terrible trainer with terrible skill crying when Pikachu loses.
And a clefairy would be even MUCH worse.

Ass Ash's Pikacrap should be dead by now. I mean, he gets killed by Lt. Surge's Raichu. When I watch that episode again, I feel sorry for the critter.
However, when I watch the one with the 'collector' who by all means is me, I think "WHAT THE CRAP BEAT HIM CHAP!".
And he sucks. Really does.
Hell, I would almost think that he has the Oblivious ability, passed down from Ash. They're both Oblivious about love. Though Pikachu isn't totally is the dark.
And then his attacks. USE SOMETHING ORIGINAL, ZAT! "Pikachu, Thunderbolt"
"Thunderbolt" "Thunderbolt again" "You know the drill".
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Yeah, he should die.
And lose at the hand of Volkner's Raichu.

Saw this as the most recent post in this section and for some reason actually checked it out. And of all people to of made it, it was Shinzu! Though I do like Pikachu in general, the anime one tends to piss me off and I do like Raichu more.

You see deep in a Nintendo Lab an scientist created Pikachu in hope of merchandising...

I don't understand how he is beaten by weak Pokemon while he can still knock out stronger pokemon... I'm getting a bit tired of him. I don't really like pikachus, really. He should've evolved into Raichu a while ago.

I dislike pikachu due to backup on each new generation.
It's very exagerated, the fifth generation back up is a record.
sinnoh League: pikachu win against latios.
Unova: pikachu is crushed by a newbie snivy with a newbie trainer who have never fight other pokemon and have never trained.

there is a problem with number 2 Ash hasnt always been a 10 year old boy in the short pikachu and pichu him and pikachu celebrated there one year friendaversary thing so at one point Ash was at least 11 but somehow turned ten again

If you ask me, I don't feel like Pikachu has changed at all (other than he's lost weight) But when he uses that Electro Ball thing, he says "Pika Pika" like 12 times. Really.
(Has anyone noticed, most video game characters in the 1970's-2000 have lost alot of weight, or is it just me..?)

Pikachu is just epic in terms of cuteness and coolness... I mean, who else would be epic enough to pawn ground types with Thunder? But then again Ash must probably be messing around with GameShark lol....

Pickachu IS an awesome Pokemon, but he IS over used...badly. I see him in nearly every fanfiction around here. Heck, he's even in my Fan-fiction. He was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better before the Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions came along. Now, I don't watch Pokemon Animes anymore.

Meh, IMO, Pikachu is extremely overrated. He should evolve into Raichu already! I may use a Pikachu in my fiction, but only as a cameo or as a Gym Leader's Pokemon.

Have to agree with some people.
1. Pikachu is the mascot of Pokemon.
2. Pikachu will most likely never evolve. Way back at the 1st season, when Pikachu was offered a Thunderstone, he declined.
3. Clefairy wouldn't make a good mascot. (In my opinion.)
4. Pikachu is highly overused.

You know what I've noticed? Whenever Ash enters new region, his Pikachu downgrades from level 100 to something like level five. I mean come on
