We all know(don't deny it) about the pokemon/item duplication glitch for this generation game.
Where you put it in the box then switch box but shut off handheld device at right time and BOOM! the pokemon and whatever item it was holding is duplicated. How many people here used that glitch to create extra pokemon for friends, or extra master balls? TELL ME! I want judge you, although I can't say the same for other people. --------------------       Shiny eevee hunt, please click. I never did that.
Though on 4th gen I have r4 and I back up my save. Yep, I did it shamelessly. I even considered mass cloning Mewtwo and selling them off, ha. Never found any takers though.

The sad thing is that it doesnt work on Crystal. Since Crystal was the only one in generation 2 where you can play as a girl(and I am female), I tried endlessly with no luck to clone my eevee so I could get all the eevee evos.

If I remember it right.. you save in the Battle Tower in the Battle Frontier. Then, deposit a pokemon in an empty box, withdraw, go to the 1st person on the right,talk to him, (I forgot this part), when it says "Saving.. don't turn off the power", you reset the game. Look in the box and party, you will see the same pokemon holding the same item.

Sadly yes
 I cloned some masterballs so whenever I ran into the legendary dogs, I could catch them with ease. I tried it once with only using ultra balls....you have no idea how long it took me to get all 3 DX --------------------         |

I did it once in crystal to see if it worked (the battery was mostly dead in it so it only saves for 2 minutes)

Oh yes. I HAD to do this for my Eevees. I only had Silver at the time and so I only had one of each evolution stones. So I used the glitch to duplicate my Eevees and stones! It was mostly for the stones.

I did it once or twice. It was really climactic, but when I was done I was just like. "That's it? Uh... now what?"

But I guess that's alright, cuz otherwise I never would've picked up a 3rd gen game at all, and possibly a 4th and 5th too. -------------------- My GTS+ League Badges (the colored ones):

I actually ended up abusing it so I could have my main team from my blue version in silver while still having them in blue.
Kinda felt guilty for "cheating" as a few called it back then, but happy as ever that I did it now a days seeing as my silver version's batter died sometime ago. Losing my first main team would of been a heart breaking moment. --------------------  |
