i think the public is over-reacting just a smidge, cuz theres nuthin that says that swine flu is any worse that a common flu, infact, i think the common flu is worse
there is that little 2 year old kid in texas that died 2day 4m it, but thats becuz of many other factors:

1.He was an immigrent kid 4m mexico

2.he was extremely young 2 have this disease, wich is very sad

3.if his family r all just immigrents, then they probly cudnt afford take him 2 c a descent doctor even here

we just need caution, not panic

The fact of the matter is, as it may be important; and extremely dangerous. I think that the mass media is blowing it out of proportion. Which is only going to make the panic worse. My mom was getting all freaked out about revelations just from watching CNN. It's ridiculous as a whole.

thats cuz CNN is a democraticaly biased news station and take everything out of porportion, (no offense)

I live here in Ontario and from Canada's side, not many had suffered it coming from Mexico. But the whole thing of the Airport's being strict to people going to mexico and such is just overreacted. It could be dangerous but the media just makes it sound a lot worse making many fear it.

I know this because today we got a message that our school is now shut down because some 17 year old girl had it. Plus the death count in mexico is already over 150 so thats quite abit considering its spread this far in just a week

the reason our schools r closing down is cuz the ppl in charge of them and the parents of those schools r being caught in the rush of ppl freaking out about it
ive looked swine flu up on 2 sites, swine flu is absolutely NO MORE HARMFUL THAN THE COMMON FLU
the only reason ppl r freakin out is cuz most of em never heard of it b4
people just need 2 b cautious and not stupid about this

and about mexico
theyre all dying cuz their living conditions and their hospitals are all crap

My friends mom is a stickler for her children not getting diseases or getting sick. She hands them a fresh bottle of Hand sanitizer every day and me as well. It gets kind of annoying but its for a good cause.

Swine flu would be scary if you got it but im not worried too much. Even though knowing my luck i'll catch it; i'm more worried over my mother who works with those patients ; - ; I don't want her to get sick

I am only slightly worried, and that's only because we don't know much about this flu yet. My thoughts are that this whole thing will probably blow over in a week or two (although I am a little troubled about how quickly it seems to be spreading). I'm not sure whether to believe the latest number of infected in the US. A lot of it could be misidentification, since the symptoms are supposed to be so similar to the flu.

I HAVE LOOKED UP SWINE FLU ON 2 DIFFERENT SITES, SWINE FLU IS NO MORE HARMFUL THAN THE COMMON FLU!
now im not saying its something to not be cautious about cuz the flu itself can be pretty bad
but like i said, ITS NOT A FREAKIN EPIDEMIC
and to say that people in mexico didnt die 4m the health conditions down there can only be said by someone that has obviously never been there, i have, and the vast majority of them live like sick animals

there's been ONE death in the states caused by swine flu (and it was a toddler, no less). even in mexico, there have only been 8 confirmed. that was in over a month. sars, anyone? more people than that die of cancer every day- about 40x more people are murdered every day. i think america probably needs to get its priorities straightened a bit.
