Smogon NU Team

Pidgeot @ Choice Band
Tangled Feet
Adamant
252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 Def.

- U-Turn
- Brave Bird
- Pursuit
- Return

Pidgeot serves as a scout to see what the opponent will start with. As it's got a Choice Band it should outspeed most starting threats.

Magmortar @ Expert Belt
Flame Body
Naive
252 SpA, 16 Atk, 240 Spe.

- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Cross Chop

Mixed sweeper Magmortar. HP Ice to take out Ground threats though HP Grass could be used to take out Water threats. Flamethrower over Fire Blast for the increased accuracy.

Golduck @ Life Orb
Cloud Nine
Timid
4 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe.

- Hidden Power Grass
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Psychic/Ice Beam

Special sweeper. HP Grass is to take other Water types that might be sent in to take Golduck's attacks. Hydro Pump for STAB. I'm iffy about the fourth slot.

Nidoqueen @ Black Sludge
Poison Point
Bold
4 SpD, 252 HP, 252 Def.

- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Earth Power
- Toxic Spikes

Nidoqueen is basically there to set up rocks and put as many layers of Toxic Spikes as it can. Earth Power takes advantage of her surprising SpA and does STAB too.

Espeon @ Light Clay
Synchronize
Timid
252 HP, 216 Spe, 40 Def.

- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Wish
- Psychic

Dual Screen Espeon. Psychic is a powerful STAB move to hit with after screens are set up. Wish is to gain back HP that maybe Golduck or Magmortar lost.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Suction Cups
Careful
252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Def

- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Curse
- Rock Slide

Rest talking special wall. Yes I know that Sleep Talk has a 33% to use Rest which will fail but it can use Curse to boost its Attack and Defense basically for free because of Cradily's less than desirable Speed stat or it can use Rock Slide to attack foes.

This set takes full advantage of Golduck's excellent coverage in order to pose an immediate threat to a variety of Pokemon.

- Light Screen

- Psychic/Baton Pass

Dual Screen Espeon. Psychic is a powerful STAB move to hit with after screens are set up. Wish is to gain back HP that maybe Golduck or Magmortar lost.

Psychic is used as a reliable STAB move, while Baton Pass allows Espeon to scout and escape from Pursuit users without taking damage.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Suction Cups
Careful
252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Def

- Rest

Changes in bold. Overrall a preally good team, I had to look really hard to find some changes to make.

Thanks. For Espeon, I'll probably just keep Psychic because I need something to hit with you know? And on Golduck why switch out Calm Mind for Ice Beam? Better type coverage?

Yeah, better type coverage. That makes sense, because if the others faint you're screwed, so it's probably a good idea to keep Psychic on Espeon.
