I went to sign up for the SWSH, and accidentally selected the wrong stuff, and so, I hit cancel, only to find that I can't re-enter till next Friday. This was an error on my part, and I certainly had no idea there would be a waiting period. Am I stuck waiting the week or are there any exceptions?

Yep, you're stuck for a while. The Shine Recorder page says this:
"If you wish to cancel a hunt, you may do so, but it'll also prevent you from starting a hunt for this Pokémon for the next week. You may, however, resume a cancelled hunt within 15 days of cancelling it." --------------------  Check my GPXPlus journal to see what I contributed to the site! Interested in a commission? PM me. |

Ah, I had the sinking feeling, but wanted to make absolutely sure. I'll still have a chance at it starting next week, so all is not lost.
