...after having this site on an obscure folder in my bookmarks. Now that I finally have Diamond (THANK YOU NINTENDO FOR MAKING US BRITS WAIT A WHOLE BLOODY MONTH WHILE YOU TRANSLATE THE GAMES FOR A BUNCH OF FRENCH PEOPLE WHO'LL PROBABLY NOT BUY IT ANYWAY), and I found out my friend code, I decided that it would be useful to sign up here for any trades that I need. I'm still not that far into the game (lol two badges), though, so I don't have much to offer. *shrugs*
'cause I can't be bothered to re-type my introductory post, I'll just steal my old one from FEPlanet and "adjust" it a little. QUOTE('goldenquagsire') I've been a Pokemon fan since the days of GSC (i.e. summer 2000 or 2001) and slightly earlier, what with anime and cards; I have Yellow (battery dead), Gold (first game, also dead), Crystal (it'll die aaaany time now), Ruby, Emerald (longest save file in living memory - liek, 300+ hours), FireRed, Diamond and the old TCG game for the GB. My other favourite video games include Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Phoenix Wright and Ratchet and Clank. My favourite music is metal-ish stuff like Iron Maiden, with some indie, alternative and generic rock thrown in for good measure. My preferred reading is Terry Pratchet, Phillip Reeve, Timothy Zahn and Michael Crichton. I've been active on the internet since just after my 13th birthday, back in March 2006. My two most frequented forums are the Psypoke Forums and The Cave of Dragonflies, both Pokemon sites. I also occasionally go on the Caves of Narshe Final Fantasy forums, Fire Emblem Online and Fire Emblem Planet. I normally go by the alias of goldenquagsire, although I also go by Valter the Moonstone and Sinslayer. Feel free to call me what you like. I'm a spriter/sig-maker, though I can't really comment on the quality of my work. I make all my own sigs and avatars, and I dabble in spriting, although I'm not as good at it. I've mostly done Pokemon sprites, although I have attempted Fire Emblem sprites, and my best work so far is a pixel-over of Voltorb's sugimori art. I have also RP'd a few times, but I wouldn't say it's one of my skills. I've been RPing in the Skylessia RP back on FEP for a bit now (one RP that died halfway through, one RP that was [fail] and one that's going on right now), and my character gave his name to my Diamond trainer. Extremely long intro post OVER. -------------------- |

What's with Brits and walls of text? XP
Welcome, and how come everyone's GBC games keep dying? *checks mine* EDIT: My Yellow, Gold, and Silver all work of course I had to reset the clock on Gold and Silver but they still save and the clock stays after I turn it off and back on. And what the hell @ my Gold file?! Since when is my dude's name AGENT J? -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!

It's cause we're good at complaining for long periods of time. It's a short step from complaining to going on needlessly about random/uninteresting stuff for half a page to bloat your ego.
QUOTE('Zerxer') Welcome, and how come everyone's GBC games keep dying? *checks mine* RBYGSC stored their memory on an internal battery. When the battery ran out of juice, the game data died. In RSEFRLGDP, the memory is stored someplace else, and only the internal clock is on the battery. While you can still lose the clock, it's pretty much unimportant in RSE, FRLG doesn't even have one and DP aren't likely to lose theirs' for a looong time now. I have the link to a tutorial on another forum that I go on that tells you how to replace the internal battery on your GBC carts. It won't bring back the data, but it'll give you a chance to play the game again (for a limited time...). -------------------- |

And I'm not sure that DP even uses a battery for the time, it gets it from your DS itself or it should. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!

I guess it depends on when the game was manufactured/first played. That's why my Gold was the first to go. -------------------- |

Welcome to GTS+, stay active, post lots, etc. I've seen you on FEP so you should've gotten the generic intro.

I don't see a wall of text. Seems quite short to me actually.
Anyway, welcome. And ignore that bewaring of me nonsense. I don't actually bite. Hard. |
