@gregoryk, Congrats on your shiny I get excited everytime I get a new one even though I hunt everyday.

I didn't catch the direct in time but already saw the video, so here are my thoughts:

I love all the new pokémon, they look beautiful. Well, except the new legendaries, those are...strange. The one that's wielding the sword is especially weird, why does it have a sword in its mouth?? I'm sure I'll learn to love them with time,
I'm not to found of the giant pokémon thing too, I'm sorry. It's so so weird omg. But it's still a new thing we didn't try so who knows? Maybe it's actually cool.
I'm eager to know more even though I'll probably won't get to play the game in a long long time...

Wooloo is defs adorable. Super pumped. Also I was looking for what old pokemon we can catch. I spotted Meowstic, Bounsweet, Axew, and Pangoro, so I wanna use all of those. I hope Kingler is in the regional dex tbh because it hasn't been in the regional dex since Johto!

Also the Wild Area is interesting. So I guess there aren't routes anymore. But there are caves, so it's not like there's only one area for catching pokemon, right? Seems kinda weird to only have one area. I wonder if it's open world. Maybe not.

Luneon I agree with you that it was a lot of information yet we still really know very little. To be honest, all I really want to know going forward is the version-exclusive content so I know which one to buy, and after that I might try to avoid spoilers.

On that momentous day when you realize... you've finished the explore and have to wait to click the end button. *happy dances* I'm glad to have gotten through my most recent run of the exploration and am looking forward to yet another try, #44 actually, of my shine hunt for a spike-eared Pichu.

On a related note, the mobile app... yeah... I accidentally was using that yesterday when I needed to move an egg to beat the timer for the Poke Hunt. It took me quite a while to figure out how to get the egg out of the mobile app... ... so I guess it is safe to say that I rarely (if ever) use it.

ive been using my mobile walker lately just to keep form changing pokemon close by for when the weather changes. also for when i accidentally fill my party and i need to temporarily move an egg out to advance on an exploration task haha. i probably should try using it more, but i dont really go many places during the summer.

I tend not to travel during summer either; it's far too hot. Also, logging onto GPX+ when I'm away from home/am not otherwise near a WiFi network eats my data like crazy. Considering I already have a data problem and may need to look into getting my phone replaced, having to shell out more money to my provider isn't a good thing haha

I would definitely keep your shiny Charmander when you get it, even if you have more than one, go for either both shiny Mega Charizard's, or the whole evolution line!

You can always hang on to it and keep it for when (and if) the site does their Christmas Secret Santa exchange. That way, what you give to another, you usually get the same caliber back from someone. So if you send a shiny to someone, you would normally get another shiny Pokemon back that is in the same category as the one you sent. This past Christmas I thought I submitted a shiny Easter Buneary. Well, I didn't. It was just the regular one. DOH!! But I did get a shiny back that I didn't previously have the Dex entry to so... all good. That's how it would work, if you chose to keep your shiny Charmander.
