Simple, Don't name them that's my personal way of naming them.
--------------------  Because its battle abilities were raised to the ultimate level, it thinks only of defeating its foes. My mewtwo is level 100, now if I got that to level 100, how about you click on my eggs and find your own level 100 pokemon. My current party:      Click my eggs. You know you want to, if you catch my drift. Depends on the species. Raichu evolutions are named after weather, my soon-to-be-army of smeargles are going to be named after drawing materials (for example, my currently only Smeargle is named Charcoal, people use charcoal to color sometimes).

That really is a good way, please name one bread, please as bread can be used to erase charcoal. I've seen it in movies and comics and stuff.

While I usually don't nickname my pokemon here, I do sometimes. My names depend on my mood, traditions I have, the parents, my obessions and sometimes something completely different.
Marluxia, Lucas, Bulborb and Daniel are references to Kingdom Hearts, Mother 3, Pikmin and Danny Phantom respectively Bob because I was feeling bored Belinda and Ella are named for one of my best friends and me. Sonic because of tradition. Any Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard I get will have a name ending in -cole except for my first girl who'l be Peta (Tradition and Best friend). Zerla is named after her parents. And that are the name origens of all my pokemon and pokemon-to-be. I just give some names, from who I think they fit to the poké. And just some strange/fun names, an male Omanyte who's named Omar for example xD
Just being crazy and giving crazy names, not a special method or something. Or, well yes. Listen to your mood; if you're in a crazy mood (as I am most of my life xD) then give your poké a crazy name. I don't have a method. I only name Pokemon that I like and have something to name it. Naming something... not a name, or even a cool word, seems dumb to me.

I name my pokemon with names like Sparkblast and Sandheart etc because of Warriorcats.
I won't use names like firestar cause it's used in the book so I'll use Flame or lightstar instead. Sometimes I do them differently. -------------------- ----------------------------------

I'm now naming turtle pokemon after things that are related to explosions.
For example, my squirtle is 'Boom'. When I get a turtwig, it'll be named 'Landmine' (because its final evolution is part ground). Technology-based pokemon are named after things that are related to guns (Muzzle, Velocity, and Recoil, once I get some magnemites). -------------------- "If you start to think about your physical or moral condition, you usually find that you are sick".
