TYPE: Normal BASE STATS HP 55 Attack 20 Defense 35 Special Attack 20 Special Defense 45 Speed 75 Weaknesses: Fighting X2 Tier: BL Abilities: Own Tempo Cannot be confused. Technician Moves with 60 base power or less do 50% more damage. Baton Pass support Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 HP 4 Defense 252 Speed. Item: Salac Berry/Leftovers Ability: Own Tempo Spore Ingrain Substitute Baton Pass This moveset is particularly useful for Baton Pass chains because it keeps everything from being phazed. Salac berry can be used if you want to pass a speed boost to the receiver, Leftovers can make Smeargle bulkier. Belly Drum Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 Attack 252 Speed. Item: Focus Sash/Salac Berry Ability: Own Tempo Belly Drum Extremespeed/Substitute Explosion/Spore Baton Pass This moveset is designed to pass a belly drum to your teammate, Focus Sash is designed to let you get off a Belly drum and Baton Pass. Extremespeed lets you OKHO things if you've got no-one to pass to or unless you want to attack. Substitute gives your recipient a shield from status moves The choice between Explosion and Spore is a personal one, if you have a physical sweeper which is frail, that is gonna be the recipient than use Spore to ease things and if you use it on the first turn of a battle, you can cripple your opponent and while he switches out, you can Belly drum, then BP. Nasty Plot Nature: Timid EVs: 252 Special Attack 4 Defense 252 Speed. Item: Salac Berry Ability: Own Tempo Nasty Plot Spore/Judgment Substitute Baton Pass This is separate from the first moveset since this serves a different purpose. Focus sash is not on here, since you have substitute. Salac berry is used to pass a speed boost which helps your recipients. Tail Glow can be used instead of Nasty Plot, though it is harder to get, though they both accomplish the same thing. Spore lets you cripple the opponent, which lets you, as mentioned before lets you get a boost. Judgment is for STAB and if you've got anyone to pass to, or just want to fight. It also protects you from Taunt. Agility Nature: Jolly/Timid EVs: 252 Attack 4 Defense 252 Speed/ 252 Special Attack 4 Defense 252 Speed Item: Liechi Berry/Petaya Berry Ability: Own Tempo Rock Polish Extremespeed/Judgment Substitute Baton Pass This is a combination of the previous sets, the main difference between this one and the others is that, it can pass more speed boosts(instead of +1, it can pass +2), with the added addition of boosting Special atttack or attack. Rock Polish can be used instead of Agility, though Agility is easier to obtain. They both accomplish the same thing. Lead Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 Attack 4 Defense 252 Speed Item: Focus Sash Ability: Technician Taunt/Explosion Belly Drum Extremespeed Fake Out Start out with Fake Out, if your opponent has a Sash it will be nullified. Then Belly Drum, focus sash will let you survive, then just extremespeed. Then start again. Taunt works with prediction, if you predict your opponent is going to set up rocks, then Taunt away. Explosion can be used as a surprise. Other Options Smeargle has everything in the book, they are literary millions of other options. Though they do not work as great as some sets because of his low stats. EVs 252 EVs are the way to go. Put them in Speed for all sets because Smeargle's speed is pretty good. Opinion Smeargle is the reason why it isn't so simple to just Roar / Whirlwind out of Baton Pass chains. Smeargle can cause your loss right away, even outside of the chain, because Baton Passing a Belly Drum and a Salac boost to something like Medicham is just plain "good game". Beware of Smeargle, despite its frailty. Taunt can get some sets without attacking moves. Ghosts counter most of the sets. For Nasty Plot, Blissey can counter it and many physical walls can counter the physical set. _____________________________________________________________________ I may decide to add more sets.
