I love the first one of course. Johto's theme was good, but I liked the Advance Battle theme better. And the D/P theme is growing on me... --------------------  |

Gotta hand my ballot to the first one, but the others were of greatly varying quality. My most recent favourite is the second DP opening with the earworm lyrics: "..On the road, far from home, Do i have to be alone? ..." Good stuff.

My favourite overall is the original/first theme, and coming up in a very close second place would be the battle frontier theme. <3

Ah man, the theme songs...
The first three themes are pure nostalgia. If I heard them today for the first time I wouldn't think of them so highly. Except the First which is always pure gold. I like the 4th Season's theme, "Born to be a Winner" It took the original theme and remixed it with the kind of pacing I like. I also LOVED "Believe in Me" the 5th Season Theme. That is where it climaxed for me. The Hoenn themes were okay, Suitable but didn't hit as hard. Battle Frontier is where they started to blow imo. The Sinnoh songs made one big mistake: they had a female singing it. Now I'm not sexist, but the theme songs have always been like Ash singing about his journeys or them being sung about him. Having a girl sing it puts emphasis on Dawn who isn't who the series is about. Everyone knows she's just going to go a different way at the end of DP, the series doesn't revolve around her. The latest theme, Sinnoh League Victors or whatever takes two steps forward and two steps back. They have the title card at the end where it should be and a guy singing the song. On the flipside the song is slow paced and drawn out. Holy cow, did we all forget about Battle Frontier? 'Pokémon! It's a battle win or lose, it's the friends you make it's the road you choose...' Hmm, the Original is not one you can easily forget either. Honestly, the beginning of Pokemon World is the only good part in that song. The music of Pokemon Johto is quite catchy, but the song is horrible. The beginning of Born to Be a Winner, pure perfection. It's a remix of the original. WIN. So is Believe in Me. I'm so-so for I Wanna be a Hero. WTF was This Dream? Srly. I didn't even watch half of that season because of the theme song. Unbeatable is pretty nice. Do I have to describe Battle Frontier again? One of the best songs in my opinion. Diamond and Pearl was alright, I suppose. I originally didn't like We Will Be Heroes, but it kinda grew on me. Battle Cry - (Stand Up!) ... that it directly under Battle Frontier. The music was amazing, and I was quite happy when they changed the animation scenes in version 2. Now, We Will Carry On. I quite enjoy that one, but didn't they just changed 2 words from We Will Be Heroes? XD Anywho...rundown:
