Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ Games _ Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon

Posted by: Dat Geechy Pie Jun 7 2017, 04:26 AM

So I've just heard that Nintendo is releasing some new Pokemon games, and not the so called Pokemon Star. (lol, Pokemon Planet/Earth sounds better)
Anyways these new games are called Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and they are probably sequels to Sun and Moon like Black2 and White2 were for Black and White. The version mascots for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are a Solgaleo and Lunala respectively, except that they are encrusted and seemingly corrupted with black crystal.

Solgaleo: The frick happened to me?! Possessed by black glass?!

Lunala: It's crystal.

Solgaleo: Who said th- OMG, IT'S A PYRAMID HEAD!!! RRRRUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!

Now away from the version mascots, there might be a really cool feature coming our way. Yes, Pokemon following you a la HGSS, in the 3D world. It was discovered unused in SM, so why not implement it into the next games? Let's all hope for this awesome feature to return!

[open to change once more info is revealed]

Not sure what to make of these either. But hey, at least I can get the Moon version now without having to thread through the same story as Sun had.

I really, REALLY hope that you will be able to have any Pokemon follow you, in homage to HeartGold and SoulSilver. I really want a Lugia to follow me in the overworld with 3DS graphics, and then one of my biggest dreams will be a reality XD

Other then that, I think that the new designs for Lunala and Solageo look so cool. It gives me vibes of when you fuse Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom, which is a good thing! Some theories state that Necrozma is possessing (something along those lines) Lunala and Solageo, and that is why they have these new/alternate designs.

Ah yes, I forgot to mention the potential walking Pokemon feature revealed by Sun and Moon datamines. That would be super cool! I would like a Latias floating behind me wherever I walk...

I do want to know more about both these games (Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon), but I honestly want my Gen 4 remakes. I could (strangely) care less about the Switch Pokémon game. (Personal opinion: Mainline (or core) Pokémon games do not belong on a home console and fit more on handhelds instead. Only spinoff games should be on consoles.)

I want my fully glasses-free 3D Distortion World, damn it.! noes.gif

There are so many things I would love to see come out of these games. My list goes on and on.

I think the main thing that I would like is for the game to be harder than the original Sun/Moon. I beat the game in a couple days maybe and there was basically no post-game play. I have always dreamed of a game where you go through all of the regions (which, tbh, I had hoped would come out when Sun/Moon came out, since it was the 20th anniversary). But no. They enjoy making money just like the rest of us, and if a Pokemon game came out that included all of the regions thus far, I would most likely never ever buy a game again. Because Johto is the flipping bossest region.

But going past my dreams which will be shattered, per usual: I would like to see far less talking and decreased tutorials. I got annoyed as heck with the tutorial and talking. After shelving Moon for 6 months, I thought: "Why don't I start over?". About fifteen minutes into it, I remembered why I hated it so much the first time. What's wrong with the snobbish kid who says "Yo, Ash, I wanna kick you sky high!" before going into a battle sequence with a rival who is the bane of your existence the entire rest of the game?

Also, if your rival could have the type advantage again, that'd be great, because I felt so sorry for Hau (was that his name?) when I killed his pupplio/evos over and over.

I have more wishes, but that's enough for now.
