For those who don't know what the PRNG Reporter is, it makes the Pseudo-random number generator that acts behind the scenes visible to you. Using the numbers, you can predict when you are able to catch or hatch a specific pokémon, based on Gender, Nature, IVs and Shininess. Absolutely nothing on the games cartridge is altered in any way shape or form.

But would you consider this hacking or cheating? It's something available to everyone, so I personally don't think it is cheating and my Shiny Legendaries are caught VIA PRNG, as well my Cyndaquil and Marill shinies.

So, have you/do you use this and do you consider it cheating?

You do need your Secret ID to use it though, which are normally unable to obtain without using an Action Replay or catching a shining pokémon yourself.
I can find your Secret ID with Pokésav if you want to start using PRNG, just trade me a random pokémon that YOU have caught in the wild (EG Starly).

Personally, I use it and I don't consider it cheating...it doesn't altar my game cart or my pokémon in anyway that a normal cheat code would.

Awesome. And I can get it just by catching a Shiny without PokeRader or Eggs? No Action Replay or any hacking device? Cool. But I consider it minor cheating. You'd know what would happen.

Anyway, if you really want to learn you Secret ID you can trade to someone who has Pokésav

You don't need an AR/pokesav to find out your SID. If you have caught a shiny you can figure it out by doing some math. Also the latest version of RNG reporter allows you do find out you SID with chained shinys.

Anyway, I have used this methot to get perfect Ivd pokémon and good Iv'd shinies. It saves me time and the pokémon is completely legit! People who consider it cheating it a little "extreme" imo.
