Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ General Pokémon _ A troublesome thought

I know they're intelligent and all but to deal with a mon like Muk's excrement which is toxic, how do the sewage workers do it?

And in the games when your mons follow you around, do you (the Trainer) have something to shovel Wailord's (and everyone's) scat?

And in the Safari Zone, there must be mounds of it cleaned up daily by someone!

Or what would Legendary scat look like?

And why isn't there a dung beetle Pokemon yet? Nobody Poops trope?

Ghost mons are somehow alive so what would theirs look like?

Is all the Grass-type waste collected and used in farming?

Do baby Pichu wet themselves whenever they shock themselves?

How would it feel to be a Nurse Joy and a Chansey and Audino and have to change bedpans of your patients?

Or have to examine the patient's fewmets and know if it's food poisoning or some other disease that they have?

I suppose this is a disgusting topic but it came to me tonight.

This is gross to think about but also hilarious! I suppose most wouldn't be a problem in the wild, jsut like irl, but Oak would have a huge problem from Ash's Tauros alone.

Well considering Magcargo is supposedly several degrees hotter than the SUN, I wouldn't think about logic to much when it comes to Pokemon.
Although apparently Darumaka's droppings are used to heat clothing, so I'd imagine Fire type dung would be likewise the same in that regard.

Game Freak must have been keeping their dung beetle Pokémon a secret. It must be as tiny as the real thing, and about 100 times more efficient, since nobody seems to have discovered it, let alone taken notice of their Pokémon's excrement disappearing as soon as they back out a big kahuna. Either that, or that 'soft, loamy soil' you plant berries in isn't as innocent as it makes itself out to be...

Attempting to see the logic of a concept in Pokemon is futile, it is so often just not there both in the anime and games.

One point that is pretty well supported however is that you are incorrect regarding Ghost Pokemon, they are NOT at all alive as their type would suggest.
- In 'The Ghost of Maiden's Peak' (or is it 'The Legend of Maiden's Peak'?) the Gastly posing as the maiden's spirit existed on the same plain as the real thing and promised her he'd try to find her lover and let him know she was still waiting for him. The lover is obviously also dead in that present time even if he wasn't when he initially disappeared as the legend supposedly took place at least a thousand years in the past.
- When Ash went searching for a Haunter to take on Sabrina, Gastly, Haunter and Gengar needed Ash and Pikachu to be spiritual like themselves to play with them.
- The pokedex entry for the 5th generation Ghost Pokemon Yamask is the most pronounced evidence (and in a way is a bit on the disturbing side), said to be the spirit of a deceased HUMAN BEING carrying what remains of it's human face.
