From Gijinkai: Materiality or Myth? (p. 67):

It is my belief that Gijinkai, or those suffering from the condition known as Pokeverto Novusproprius, are in fact under the affect of a disease. It is not thought, in most cases, to be particularly harmful to the subject, and rarely results in death or insanity, though cases have been recorded [refer to the Jeremy Dafkins case in index ii]. Whether or not the Gijinkafication, if you will, is curable, is still up for great debate, and until we in the scientific world come to our conclusion, I have been designated the task of maintaining their welfare and preventing any possible calamities. A large undertaking I'm sure, but one I accept with solemnity and enthusiasm.

The Gijinkai are a fascinating and diverse subspecies, and the study and documentation of their various causes and symptoms has proven equally enthralling. It is believed that the human body is most susceptible to the Novusproprius when in the mid to late adolescent stages. This is because, in my opinion, the body retains the flexibility of youth while developing the strength and hardiness of adulthood.

When the disease is contracted, it is unknown whether the symptoms are fast or slow to appear, as no human presence has ever observed the process. I have, however, had the privilege of sitting in on the evolutionary process of Gijinkai. It appears to be a slow, agonizing progression, and the subject would be best kept isolated during its entirety, as they are prone to lash out in pained rages. I myself have prepared a special chamber for such occasions, fully equipped with sound enabled security monitors, for any of my colleagues who might wish to partake.

It seems that evolution and power are the only things the human subject receives from their pokemon counterpart. In fact, I have yet to see a case of a human personality being impacted at all by the merging, and gender also seems to remained unaffected, though more study will be required.

Because of the Gijinkai's firm attachment to the world of pokemon, I have reached the conclusion that having a pokemon of the same species, particularly their counterpart, is a great asset, helping the subject remain in control of his or her new powers, as well as amplifying them greatly. For this purpose, every individual in my care has been gifted with a pokemon companion of their same species. Though this research has not been made official yet, I feel great surety in the finding's veracity.

And there you have it. This is yet another Gijinka RP, though I'd like to think Moe and I have our own little twists in store.

Much like X-Men, all Gijinkai live in a large, house-like school wherein they learn how to harness and properly utilize their powers. There are teachers and classes and break periods just like regular school, as well as culminating activities and exams (don't worry though, this is bound to be more entertaining than regular school). Each person will be paired up at random (by use of an online scrambling generator) with a roommate of the same gender and placed, once again at random, in a room. Your schedule will be designed by use of the courses you pick in the application below.

Within the school, there are 'ranks', of sorts. First off, there are the Task Force. They are the elite, called in when there's trouble, and they're the only Gijinkai permitted to leave school grounds and venture into the human world (this takes place in the normal Pokemon universe: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh all still exist). The Task Force are all fully evolved Gijinkai whom are in complete mastery of their powers; they are the ones sent out when a newly formed Gijinka has been spotted, to take him or her down and bring him or her in.

Next are the old-timers, not to be confused with old people. They have been in the school for a while; they know the way things run (things like where the security guards are placed at any given time, and when the best time is to catch a peek of a girl/boy in the shower) and have begun to understand and control their powers.

Then there are the newbies. Those freshly caught and sorted ('sorted' being the act of isolation in the Isolation Room that all new arrivals must undergo. Through this, it can be determined whether or not s/he is a danger to his/herself or others, and be handled accordingly. Unstable Gijinkai are moved to the Forbidden Floor, and regular Gijinkai are placed into the school system) and still unaware of what it truly entails to be a Gijinka. They are generally first-form pokemon, and don't know very many moves or techniques. Some are even caught within the course of the RP (just put a note somewhere in your application).

Finally, there are Legendaries. These mysterious and terribly powerful Gijinkai have yet to make an appearance in the world, but they will soon enough, and their impact will be swift and great.

All participants have the option of one or two characters (possibly three if you can make an application that simply dazzles us), and may have ONE character as either a Legendary or a part of the Task Force, the other MUST be a normal (old-timer or n00b is up to you). We will be accepting a total of five Task Force members and five Legendaries, as well as ten normals. Don't worry, though the Task Force may see the most action right off the bat, everyone will get a chance to kick some ass. That being said, be warned that this is not a totally action-based RP. Your character IS in school, and appropriate time must be dedicated to his/her 'studies'.

Course Outlines:

Physical Control: This course is comparable to our modern gym class, but far more extreme. This class is compulsory for ALL school-goers, and teaches students how to control their powers when attacking, defending, and to amplify agility. At the end of each term, a final battle is held: every student must compete, and are randomly matched with a partner whom they must fight in front of the entire class. This fight occurs in a separate arena on the grounds, and is graded based on general skill and technique, NOT who wins (though that is a bonus). The classes are divided as such: Monday, Wednesday are attack; Tuesday, Thursday are defense; Friday, Saturday are agility.

Mental Control: This course helps develop and refine a student's concentration and mental capacity for controlling his or her powers. This is compulsory for all students, and a preliminary examination must be completed before the individual is allowed to advance into the Physical Control course.

Stealth: A course that aids in stealth and agility. It teaches students the finer points of espionage, and how to hide oneself no matter the terrain. It is compulsory for all members of the Task Force.

Living Amongst Humans: A course teaching all of the subtleties and nuances of life among humans. Though no Gijinka has any hope of ever living normally amongst humans, it is still imperative that they learn how human society functions. This course is compulsory for all members of the Task Force.

Type Match-up and Take-down: A course teaching the Pokemon elemental match-ups, weaknesses and strengths and how to best employ them to one's own advantage. It is compulsory for all Task Force members.

Arts: A general arts course that teaches the finer points off all the arts (music, dramatic, and visual) in turn. The schedule is divided as such: Monday, Wednesday is visual; Tuesday, Thursday is dramatic; Friday, Saturday is instrumental/vocal.

Cooking: A course much akin to Home Ec. A filler wherein students are taught the art of cooking and baking both meals and desserts.

She has small, nymph-like hands and her skin is a mid-shade of brown. One can always tell when she is approaching by the small golden bell tied around her left ankle, which jingles when she walks. Belying her bubbly personality, Susanna dresses very much like an authority figure.

Her skin is a light shade of tan, caused by years spent out in the sun, as well as her Gijinkafication, and she wears nothing but athletic clothing: sweatpants and a form-hugging wifebeater.

Being in peak physical condition, Paul sees little need to wear more clothing than necessary, usually settling on a pair of low-slung shorts, and comfortable sandals.

She wears a cute, yellow and red summer dress no matter the weather (as weather doesn't seem to affect her).

Of average height and weight (about 5’8”, 145 pounds), Othello is well suited for like on the task force. Despite his relative slightness of stature, he is hardy and well-accustomed to surviving the elements. His skin, naturally, is creamy white, though he doesn’t burn in the sun, and his hair is a forest-y green. His face, when not obscured by his trademark scarf and protection talisman, is all harsh angles and beautifully jagged. It is bracketed by a pair of large, wing-like ears, which feather off into tapers. Between his eternally windswept hair, and always covered face, only one of Othello’s red eyes are visible; they are angled exotically and have a rusty exhausted smudge cradling the bottom, caused by prolonged sleep deprivation.

The spike piercing his abdomen, as painful as it looks, is in fact a part of Othello’s body, and has no feeling in it whatsoever.

The writing on Othello’s scarf and talisman has a continuous theme: one of protection and the warding off of evil spirits. When read aligned, it is one long incantation, which, along with the sprig of holly leaf he keeps in a locket around his neck, is supposed to grant immunity from ill-wishers, both spiritual and physical.

Othello’s shirt is less of a shirt than a vest, leaving his chest bare, as there is no clothing designed to accommodate his ‘horn’. The air-light fabric is the same colour and shade as his hair, as well as the tightly wound bandages wrapped from shoulder to wrist down both arms. His legs are bare, save for the baggy white skirt-like garment that reaches to about mid-calf. On his feet are a pair of black, sole-less slip-ons. Despite his natural prowess in the hand-to-hand, Othello carries with him two identical green blades; on the left the same mantras of protection are inscribed, on the right is one of power and improvement.

Personality: On the battlefield Othello is a proud fighter and a fearsome foe. He distinguishes very poorly between enemies and allies, and will cut either down should they get in his way. That being said, he does not battle recklessly, in fact, his movements are all pre-planned and graceful. He simply has a skewed view of justice and consequence, believing that if one gets in his way, they deserve whatever fate awaits them. He believes that the slow and weak should be cut down, those unable to fight or make use of themselves are burdens, and should be disposed of accordingly. He hates to be weighed down by emotional matters, this includes attachments such as friendship and love, as he sees them as superfluous and fickle. This is, apparently, caused by some sort of incident in his pre-Gijinka life involving a beloved woman and infidelity, but no one knows for sure – Othello is very secretive about his past. That is, if he remembers at all.

Othello is not very emotional and doesn’t take humour well, as it tends to go right over his head. He is prone to making jokes without even realizing it, then growing frustrated when others laugh. A running joke inside the school, Task Force especially, is Othello’s nickname ‘Ella’ which he hates with a burning passion. The other residents take great pleasure in teasing him with the name, but most have learned when to back off. If truly angered, he becomes somewhat akin to a timebomb, liable to explode at a second’s notice, the results catastrophic.

The various mantras, pendants, and charms hidden about Othello’s person are not merely decorative. He is a very superstitious person, and can often be found in his room with an extensive horoscope that he has delivered weekly. Let it be known that this is not just a slight quirk, or a phase, or anything harmless like that: he honestly believes in spirits and karma and ‘good or bad vibrations’. He refuses to step on cracks, or break mirrors, or go anywhere within the area of a black cat. This of course extends into the idea of fate and serendipity, both of which he is a firm believer in, thus his fascination with palm reading and other methods of foresight. He believes that if he is aware of approaching disaster, he can prevent it.

Having a thin and long frame allows Audrey to move swiftly, especially when she's out on a mission. Weighing around 125 pounds and standing at around 5'9", Audrey has stick like limbs that make her look fragile and not able to pull her own weight. But that's far from the truth, Audrey for a thin girl has an impressive amount of strength but when she's compared to larger, more muscled individuals, she cannot surpass them.

Audrey has silver, white shoulder length hair -- that just brushes her purplish/blue tinted skin -- that’s layered to have the effect of a messy look. On her bottom layer, her hair parts into two really long silver strands that reach just past her breast. The tips of her ears, instead of a point, it turns into small feathered wings that poke through her hair.

Everything about Audrey is very (lack of a better word) pointy. She has a narrow, pointed chin that suits the look of her entire body. Audrey has a small nose that fits perfectly on her thin face, and her blue eyes are slightly slanted. Audrey's mouth is an average size and always ajar when she's has her neutral expression.

Wearing a white v-neck tank top, it hugs Audrey's thin body perfectly. Because she's in the Task Force, Audrey's always seen in brown shorts and black combat boots. Around her neck, she's always wearing a studded necklace with a bell hanging from it.

Personality:

Being the only girl on the Task Force, Audrey feels like she needs to prove herself. Never really failing in a mission or being completely helpless before (except for that one incident), Audrey still feels that her other team members second guess her ability to do what they can do. Because of this, Audrey is very dependent and always (if she had a choice) would take a task and do it by herself. Audrey always has things planned to the last detail. This is one of her weaknesses because if things don't go as planned, Audrey is known to completely give up. But oddly enough in battle this does not effect her performance. Though, it did at first and Audrey's supervisors were skeptical about her trying out for the Task Force. Successfully completing the test, Audrey was placed in the Task Force where she learned a hard lesson and had to overcome her weakness (but only in battle or out in a mission).

Audrey tends to talk to herself a lot and out loud as well, most of the other Gijinka's find this behaviour of hers odd. She does this because it helps her remember stuff and it helps her to come to a conclusion. When speaking to herself, Audrey also refers to herself in third person, making the other student's eyebrows raise a bit higher.

Nature: Being a Dragonair, Lyth enjoys being in any body of water and always finds herself nudging Audrey to spray her with water from the small water gun. She prefers to stay in the academy and swim around in the pond. Very reluctant to go to battle or out on a mission, Lyth is very 'difficult' to deal with and will put up an act to delay herself from doing any of that or maybe to get out of it. But when in battle, Lyth is actually really focused and smooth. Like her partner, Lyth is very precise and has things planned out.

Despite already being a stands-out-like-a-sore-thumb Glaceon Gijinka, Chris makes no attempt to hide his identity from anyone, not that you can really do much about two giant, blue spiky ears sticking out from your head, or a blue tail sticking out of your ass…

While his body is of an average height of about 5’10’’, and his weight is an equally average 120 pounds, Chris’ hair is naturally a rather un-natural mixture of a white main bulk, with dark blue tips on the end of his fringe, two pale blue long streaks down either side of his head, and dark blue back, all of which appears to be gelled into a rather radical style, but is in fact the natural way that the boy’s hair grows.

The clothing that covers Chris’ very lightly built muscular body consists of a sleeveless black zip up shirt come jacket which fits rather snugly, but not so that it restricts movement. The zip of the jacket is marked with a light blue line of fabric, which also extends around the top of it’s collar. Just because this jacket is sleevless, it doesn’t mean that Chris’ arms are completely bare however. On his forearms you will find two pieces of fabric that resemble bracers somewhat, but they extend just past his elbow in one direction, and fan out over the backs of his hands, making his hands invisible when he has his fists clenched. Just above the bracer on Chris’ left arm, you will find a tattoo of pattern that has no special meaning to Chris, other than the fact that he thought it makes people think of ice, meaning it suited him.

On his lower body, Chris wears a rather simple pair of black pants, complete with a hole for his tail, fitting equally as snugly as his sleeveless upper body wear, as well of a pair of simple black white socks. These socks are easily visible due to Chris’ footwear, which are a pair of tabi-style dark navy-blue sandals (with soles nowhere near as big as the reference image).

Personality: Put simply, Chris is one of those people that you would want on your side at all times. This is not because he is insanely violent however, in fact, he is typically quite the opposite, it is because he is incredibly loyal to those who he would deem as friends or acquaintances, willing to do anything to defend those people if a dangerous situation should arise. This can lead to him getting a little over protective over people from time to time, and Chris is aware of this himself, which can sometimes lead to the people he is ‘protecting’ feeling relatively embarrassed due to his actions, if the person is of that nature.

When he is ‘alone’, Chris does enjoy simply spending time relaxing with his Glaceon, who he aptly named Glacia. This can mean anything from brushing his Pokemon’s fur, simply lying on his bed asleep with her curled up beside him, playing his guitar while she listens to him, and practically anything else that can be considered relaxing.

Being a Glaceon Gijinka, one would imagine Chris would rather enjoy cold environments, despise overly warm places, and enjoy cold food, you know, follow stereotypes and all that jazz. While this is true, Chris cannot help but frequently get cravings for the spicier things in life, such as curries, and sometimes even raw chilli peppers. Speaking of stereotypes, they are one of Chris’ biggest hates in the world, how some people get judged right off the bat simply by their appearance, race, belief, or even taste in music. It’s simply one of the things that disgusts him about human society, though he understands that not all humans are like this, otherwise he would be rather hypocritical.

Despite this rather behaviour, you would find that Glacia is a very trustworthy companion, epitomizing in her unparalleled loyalty to Chris, which shows greatly whenever the two battle.

Appearance: He stands at 5’10 and is rather thin and tan. He has blonde hair that reaches the top of his ears, and is normally kept under an orange bandanna His eyes are an Emerald green. He wears a pair of orange jeans, and a short-sleeved orange shirt. Both his pants and his shirt have black Arcanine markings on them, and his pants are custom-made to fit his tail. He has a small tattoo of a dragon on his right shoulder, and another tattoo of flames on his right ankle, just above his scar, from where his Arcanine bit him a bit too hard, and has another small scar on his left knee from where he accidentally cut himself.

Personality: He is normally quiet and serious around others, and quite sarcastic if he feels like the situation calls for it. He is perfectly fine with being alone, and is actually happier with no one around, although he is still as serious. His view on life is somewhat dim, but he still believes that there is more good than evil in the world. He has two goals, one is to try and make a few friends, and the other is to get into the habit of writing in his journal every day.

Laws has a rather well toned body, composed of muscles that are a result of heavy training that don’t overload his naturally lithe frame. He stands at roughly 6’2, a smidge taller than your average Skarmory and his own personal companion who is also of this species. His lightly tanned skin is marred with cuts and bruises that often come out of his brutal and rather vicious way of battling. His rather angular bones are less dense than a normal human’s, a trait which has come from being a Gijinkai, and though he appears on the thin side, it belies his impressive strength. Weighing in less than most would think, he’s only about 160 pounds but seeing as he trains almost obsessively at times, it averages out.

With high cheek bones, a nicely pointed chin and rather petit nose, his face is not spared from the scars that cover the rest of his body. His eyes are narrowed and thin, which only accentuates their bright amber colour. Even though his right eye is covered with a black eye patch, the strap wrapped around the lower part of his face, it does little to impair his accuracy when fighting others. His hair is a steely grey, darker near the top and lighter by the tips. Laws pays little attention to his hair, cutting it choppily until it reaches the nape of his neck while the rest of the strands spike out. Thicker and lower near the back, some of the points go up to the crown of his head; most of it, however, tends to stay near the front. His bangs are longer in the middle, cut in a rough ‘M’ shape so that his eyes have a clear path of vision.

Laws sports a grey form fitting tank top that becomes slightly looser near the bottom as it rests above his hips. On top of that, he wears an open grey vest, slightly lighter in colour, which goes to the seat of his pants; the inside is, on the other hand, a crimson red. The cord is a darker grey, and the hood (and the vest, overall) is slightly baggy. His pants are a pair of black skinny jeans that he has worn in so that they stretch surprisingly far. These are then tucked into boots that are just under mid shin in length. They are rather sturdy, black in colour, laced up with black cords and a strip of grey colour near the top. However, the toe is capped with steel, making the footwear rather heavy as well. When travelling, he carries a small red shoulder bag with black straps and metal buckles.

He also has a red tribal tattoo that encircles his left arm just under the shoulder. A red spiked chocker adorns his neck, while armbands of a similar look are wrapped multiple times around both wrists. He wears two metal rings on each hand; on the pinky and index on the right hand and on the middle and thumb on the left. He also has multiple piercing mainly in his ears (3 in each, 2 being studs near the bottom and a ring near the top), though one sits atop his left eyebrow. His nails are as hard as steel, but he rarely uses them as a weapon. Though barely visible, his teeth are slightly pointed and have the same density as metal like his nails.

Personality : Laws’ appearance often gives others the wrong impression, making them think of pirates and delinquents rather than thinking about who he truly is. A rather simple Gijinkai, he has no true goal and is content with the sun on his back on a high up place with his Skarmory, Tren, by his side. He mostly spends his time relaxing or training, rarely taking the time or effort to eat or do any of his other duties. Indifferent if he is alone or with others, he gets along with other Gijinkai fairly well, but it is more likely that someone will approach him rather than him making the effort to talk to them first. He can be social at times, but when he doesn’t want to talk to someone, he’ll simply shut them out. However, this only happens when he is irritated or stir crazy.

Laws puts in just enough effort to make sure he passes his classes – after all, he would rather spend his time lying on his back in the sun. Unless it is a mission or some sort of physical exertion, this tends to be the norm 24/7. He only pushes himself when training by himself or with others, never wanting to back down and always wanting to be the best. Once he starts a battle he will not stop until either he or his opponent is defeated, no matter gender, type or rank. If caught in a fight, he won’t be the one to initiate it unless he or anyone around him is threatened; if that’s the case, he won’t hesitate to attack. Otherwise, he’ll be the first to volunteer for sports and going first during spars, but that’s about it.

A true kinaesthetic learner, it takes Laws some time to pick up on things unless he is moving around in some way, resulting in many hand motions and feet tapping in class. Though this may annoy others, he shrugs off their irritation, indifferent about whether they like him or not because of his actions. He has little care as to what others think about him – the only opinions that matter are his.

He keeps his emotions in check fairly well, not really one for making a big deal of things when they don’t go his way. Though he is rarely aggravated, it can happen when others begin to argue with each other, causing him to lash out in annoyance. Out of everything, he hates a lack of teamwork, and if two Gijinkai aren’t getting along, his anger often gets the best of him. This clouds his judgement, which is normally clear seeing that he doesn’t ever think about petty details.

Jasper is short and almost cuddly at 5'3" and 108 pounds; in fact, were it not for his huge red eyes and ... less than savory personality, he might actually be cute (just don't tell him that). Looking every bit the part of a ghost, Jazz has mottled grey skin, and red smudges under his red eyes, making him look pallid and sickly. His face is small and round, nose just an upward tick, and mouth slightly larger than average. On the leftmost side of his mouth runs a short vertical scar, caused by Vivica -- Jazz's Banette -- attempting to sew his mouth closed, much like her own ( he woke up about halfway through, and his scream of outrage tore the stitching open. Most healed normally, save for that one.) Jazz's hair is long and brown and falls in sharp spikes about his face. In the back, it's even longer, reaching past his hips to almost mid-thigh, before tying off into what appears to be a yellow and red hook.

His clothing consists of a gray hood, which used to be white. This hood is always up, as Jasper has a very fair complexion, and sunlight wreaks havoc on his skin ( not to mention his distaste for daylight in general ). Holding it in place is another, equally dirty, strip of cloth, secured in place by two yellow buttons. The hood continues down the edge of his jacket until it reaches his sternum, then detaches, flowing outward for another few feet, and ending with a heavy, yellow -- what appears to be a -- gear on each end. Overall, his colour scheme is actually quite earthy: consisting of varying muted shades of brown, green and beige, with the odd accent of bright ( comparatively, at least ) yellow. His clothes are ratty, and appear to have been stitched haphazardly together, fallen apart, then reattached once more. They are heavy and thick, the sleeves of his jacket reaching far past the length of his arms, giving him a childlike air, coupled with his small stature. Jazz doesn't wear shoes, he finds them restrictive and superfluous, preferring instead to travel barefoot; his ghostly powers allow this without much trouble, as he has very little need to actually step on the ground, gliding instead.

Personality: Befitting his appearance, Jazz is impish and playful ... though not in a way that many others appreciate. He loves playing practical jokes, most of which end in violence or chaos. He is often seen as being immature, petty, and childish, all of which are true. He is stingy and selfish, refusing to share anything with anyone in any circumstances. Though that is a bit of an exaggeration; he will, for the most part, share something if he took part in its creation (food, clothing, shelter, etc.). This is not out of generosity, but rather Jazz's propensity for bragging and showing off. He enjoys being the center of attention, and feeds off of praise. Conversely, negative criticisms hit him hard, though he's not likely to show his hurt on the surface.

Over the years, Jazz has become quite adept at hiding and masking his emotions. A compulsive liar, he has known to be deceitful regarding the most innocuous things, such as the weather or his tastes in music -- things that would have no real bearing had they been answered differently. When it comes to the big stuff however, Jazz can be painfully honest. He has no empathy, and therefore no desire to spare the feelings of others. In fact, in his opinion, some of the best jokes are at others' expense, and often end with more hurt than feelings. That being said, Jazz has no real idea as to how society and people function; he often feels as an outsider, watching the shadows on the walls play out a false reality. He finds it difficult to connect or interact with others, often finding himself on a separate wavelength or thought-train, drifting with a sense of unreality. When he gets to thinking about this, he becomes somber and quiet, a stark contrast to his usual boundless energy and enthusiasm.

Jazz is terrified of exceptionally tall people, and people of larger stature. He dislikes the feeling of smallness and insignificance that strikes him when in their presence. Perhaps long dormant memories of schoolyard bullying have given rise to this subconscious reflex, but Jazz wouldn't know. He remembers little to nothing of his life as a human.

Nature: Vivica is often described as Jazz v2 x10. Whereas Jazz is capable of showing restraint and, to a degree, holding himself in check, Vivica is not. She is purely a creature of fancy and impulse; sadistic and cruel in her glee. She is excitable and quick to anger, and those seem to be her only two recurring emotions. Possibly the only other being she feels kinship with is Jasper, and even that is not an equal give-and-take relationship, but rather an arrangement of shared interests: they both enjoy horror and chaos. But Vivica is still very much an individual, completely denying orders from Jazz if they don't correspond to her own wishes. She has a fascination with magic.

Much like his twin sister, Talia, Elijah is slight of both stature and height, weighing in at about 113 pounds at 5'6". Due to the hours upon hours of his childhood spent in the sun, Elijah's skin has been permanently painted a healthy tan colour, complete with sparse freckles sprinkled about his nose and cheeks. With wide brown eyes, a softly rounded face and eternally tousled brown hair, Elijah looks far younger than his seventeen years, often bringing out the protective instincts of others, much to his delight; a small tick of a nose, and a large forever smiling mouth only aid the illusion.

Elijah dresses like a child as well, in clothes that are far too big for him. His entire outfit is composed of various shades of brown, black, and white, dyed into soft yet sturdy fabrics and worn down to a comfortable bagginess. His shorts, loose and flexible after years of wear and tear, tend to ride low on his skinny hips, barely held in place by a thick leather belt; his shirt, a touch tighter, doesn't have that same problem. Around his neck, Elijah wears a furry beige scarf. This, aside from looking plain adorable, is to prevent sunlight from reaching -- and burning -- the delicate skin of his neck and shoulders. His only accessory, Elijah has a pair of rubbery, black wristbands that reach to about mid-forearm. These are useful as braces for his rather weak wrists, and help prevent sprain and strain.

Of course, once Elijah evolves, everything from his face to his fashion changes, save for his height and weight, which remain the same; hair lengthens, palour drains, and browns and whites and blacks turn to mauves and blacks and red.

Personality: Having grown up in Viridian City (the stix, as he likes to call it), Elijah's laid back attitude and que cera cera manner of thinking lead many to the conclusion that he's rather hokey, none too bright. And honestly? Elijah has very little qualms with perpetuating that myth, and actively does so. He likes the idea of being underestimated, that way, he figures, when he shows his stripes, it's all the more impressive. Although, truth be told, Elijah isn't quite sure yet what his stripes are, exactly. He's still desperately trying to find a place for himself in the world, preferably out of his twin sister, Talia's, shadow.

Elijah and Talia have quite the love-hate relationship. Yes, they do love each other, but with that comes a certain level of spite and subconscious attempts at oneupmanship. Usually Elijah can't decide whether he wants to be as far away from Talia as possible, or plastered indefinitely to her side, and often shifts between both feelings multiple times during the course of a day; which can be and is quite frustrating. Despite this, the twins are still very much connected, sometimes to the point of knowing, albeit vaguely, what the other is thinking or feeling -- these empathetic impulses only amplify following their evolution.

Having grown up trailing on his mother's apron-strings, Elijah never really got the chance to become independent, and still exhibits blatant signs of separation anxiety. He is quick to form attachments to strong, compassionate, motherly females, and just as eager to shy away from those he deems dangerous -- he is not at all confrontational. What Elijah wants more than anything in this world is to detach himself from these childish impulses, another reason why he strives to outdo Talia at every opportunity and therefore, symbolically, sever the umbilical cord once and for all.

Admittedly, Elijah is terrible at following directions and instructions, whether they be verbal or visual. He's the type of person to get lost in a place that he had visited multiple times prior. He has no sense of direction or time, and often finds himself wandering aimlessly for hours on end, only stopping when someone finally comes to fetch him.

It's not easy to ruffle her or hurt her feelings, as she firmly believes that everyone has at least a spark of good in them, and only act with good intentions.

Having an identical twin, Talia and Elijah are very similar in physical appearance. Even though one could not tell that they have a small height difference, Talia is shorter than her brother by a half inch, making her stand at 5’5 ½”. Like her brother, Talia has a thin frame weighing around 110 pounds. Both siblings have brown hair, but unlike her brother’s straight hair, hers is short and curly. Talia’s pointed chin and round cheeks, small features but big eyes give her a childlike face. Her smooth, slightly tanned skin (which is rarely noticeable) adds on to this appearance.

Coming from the suburbs, Talia does not dress like a small town girl. She always over exaggerates her outfits, making them un-ideal for work around the farm. Spending most of her time out in the sun, Talia is always seen wearing a thin, brown, long sleeved coat that just passes her knees and its split in the middle on the front revealing the rest of the outfit underneath (well only her pants). Underneath, Talia has on knee length pants that are crimson in colour. Just revealing a bit of her leg, Talia then has a long pair of white socks with buckles on the end of its hem. For foot wear Talia wears big, sturdy shoes which are fashionable and functional. And to top it all off, she wears a brown top hat with a pink bow tied around it. These pink bows also make an appearance on her coat and shoes.

After evolving into an Umbreon, Talia’s features become less round but rather longer and pointier. But pretty much everything else stays the same, and her fashion sense is still exaggerated. (Saving you guys from a long description of her outfit, just
look at her picture.)

Personality:

Since birth, Talia always had Elijah by her side. They did everything together and when Talia was alone one was sure to guess that Elijah was nearby. But they are not inseparable; Talia is more than capable of going through a day without her brother by her side. This independence was thanks to her parents who did not cradle her like Elijah, and were stricter on her. Doing more physical work around the farm, Talia is stronger than her brother, this leading to her overshadowing Elijah in almost all activities. Everything is a competition with them, always trying to outdo the other. For Talia is not the fact of showing whose better but to show that she’s different from him, that she has her own identity. Though it seems that Talia isn’t friendly towards Elijah, she actually really loves him and more than half the time she cannot see herself living without him by her side. They have and will always share this twin connection that Talia finds comfort in.

Always cheerful, Talia always has a bounce to her steps. She lives every day with a positive attitude, always giving off a happy aura. Nothing ever seems to bother her and that’s what everyone sees in the surface. But Talia is not a depressed individual underneath (not at all), she just doesn’t feel the need to share everything that’s on her mind. Preferring to share her thoughts less often, surprising everyone who thinks she’s simple minded.

Very fashion conscious, Talia (well she thinks she is) is always updated with the latest style. Even though she educates herself on this subject, Talia always seems to miss the mark. But no one ever tells Talia how ridiculous some of her outfit choices are.

Nature: Very laid back, Seff does not protest often about anything and usually he goes with the flow. This is unfortunate because Talia takes advantage of this and dresses him up all the time to match her outfits. But surprisingly, Seff does not mind these costumes and actually quite enjoys them, making him a perfect match for Talia. He’s quick to trust and slow to anger, but when his trust for you is shaken things will be a lot different and when angered it takes Seff a long time to cool down.

4. Jamiekairu

Appearance:
The first thing you might notice about Martin are the dark turquoise jet-plane-like features on either side of his head, a single lighter pinstripe going through both. Poor Mart has acquired some bulk upon becoming a Gijinka; whether due to his eating habits or his blood, or both, he doesn’t know. His hair is cut short and parted to the left side, a small bit hanging over and touching his eyebrows, and another part hanging just below his eye. His hair falls in layers down the back, and once it hits the back, that is where it is shaved. Its colour matches the darker shade of the apertures upon his head. His eyes are a beady black, and in his mouth are sharp, powerful teeth.

Martin gets cold easily, and so he wears a red turtleneck, but with short sleeves. Over it he has fitted a jacket that matches his hair in colour. His pants and shoes consist of ordinary faded blue jeans and red tennis shoes. A part has been cut out of his clothing to accommodate for a large, notched fin jutting from his back. His nails, like his teeth, are sharp and dangerous. The beginnings of a tail have begun to emerge from his rear.

Personality:
The first thing that can be known about Martin's personality is that he is never satisfied with his own abilities. He can never believe he is more than decent, and that others are better than him. He doesn't let this get him down, however. Instead, he uses it as his driving force to become even better, and as he improves, becomes more and more critical on himself. This is why he tries to train every day, and usually alone, because he loves working alone. Martin likes to push himself to the limits of what he can do, and at times, he actually gets to a point where he is proud of himself, then looks back on his accomplishment, and thinks little of it. Both praise and criticism, however, make him strive to better moreso, though Martin prefers it when people are to the point and blunt. He doesn't like it when people sugar-coat things, because it isn't the truth, and Martin almost always tells the truth, or part of it if he needs to. He only lies when he feels he must.

Martin would do anything for those he cares about, though it’s difficult for him to approach people for friendship. Whenever he has a friend, though, he fears losing them, regardless of how close they are. Martin's feelings towards other Gijinka at this current point in time are neutral. He doesn't blame them for anything. He knows that some things cannot be helped, and birth is one of them. Martin thinks humans and Gijinkas both are people, they're just different, but he doesn't vouch for either.

Ever since he became a Gijinka, Martin has developed a massive appetite. Not because he likes to eat, but because it feels good to keep his teeth going. When not eating, he’s generally biting his fingernails or chewing on his pencil. For leisure—when not eating—he loves to get dirty in the mud. He finds the floor to be more comfortable than the bed, and cuddles with his Gible at night.

Appearance : Base.
Ester has a rather mediocre height for someone of his age – he only stands at about 5’2 but has a bulkier frame than one would think. Broad shoulders, toned arms, a flat stomach and well rounded legs make up for his rather petit height. The muscle, however, adds onto his weight, causing him to weigh in at about 140 lbs which doesn’t seem normal for someone of his stature. His skin is fairly pale, seeing as perpetual snowfall in his hometown allows for little sun, and he chars rather easily if exposed to heat.

His neck is surprisingly long and skinny and his face is very boyish; none of his features are very prominent other than his pointed chin and rounded head shape. An elfin nose and mouth only brings out his emerald eyes, slightly narrow in shape. His hair is a white with natural tinges of grey and it parts to the right in the front. Though smooth near the top, the ends are cut loosely in gathered strands that end around his ears in the front and past the middle of his neck in the back. It often has a very windswept look, swaying from side to side with every movement, but that is mainly because of the fine strands that would make a girl cry tears of envy.

Ester is used to layering up due to the colder climates that he had been forced to adapt to. He wears a white dress shirt that has T-Shirt sleeves and goes to his hips, though it does little for warmth seeing as it is loosely buttoned. Underneath that, he has a woollen long sleeved shirt that is pine green in colour, the sleeves loose and long while the middle section is tight to his body, ending at the same length as the dress shirt. He wears brown cargo pants which he switches out to snow pants of the same colour during colder weather. They are fairly baggy as well, covering his toned legs and the tops of his brown and white sneakers that he swaps for brown snowboard boots when trekking through colder climates.

Green snowboarding goggles rest around his neck, and he is rarely seen without them. He also wears a white woollen hat from time to time, and when he is not wearing it, his pokemon is. Always prepared for snow, he has green gloves that he keeps on him at all times. Beneath his sleeves are chunky silver chains that jingle from time to time. When travelling, he keeps a bag that is brown in colour with white accents. On his left shoulder there is a dark and jagged scar, an end result from a fight that resulted in him being brought to the school.

Personality : Ester is a classic victim of not being able to tell a joke – no matter how hard he tries, his puns tend to make other weep and his humorous attempts often end in epic, if not more so, failures. However, his rather large ego refuses to deflate with every tear-jerking barb and his aloof personality allows him to laugh off every one of his letdowns. Self confident, he does not falter when it comes to himself and he has a tendency to think that he is above others from time to time, though he often corrects himself. He refuses to admit his own weaknesses (both in typing and in mentality), often changing the subject to other’s flaws or his own boons.

Because his confidence sense of self allows him to soar over others, his personality towards them is somewhat similar. He detaches himself from others so that he may judge them as he sees fit – as such, he starts off rather cold and indifferent to others. After scanning them over a few times, he quickly opens up and has a rather charismatic way of dealing with them. Suave when with those that he knows and trusts, despite the horribly corny jokes, he is a people person and normally has no trouble getting the other Gijinkai to see things his way.

Ester enjoys being right and will influence the others into seeing things as he does, rather than admitting that he was ever wrong. Even when he is proven incorrect, his ego takes the hit rather well and he simply bounces back to his former state of self glorification. Every statement of his must be politically correct, and he often feels the urge to rectify other’s statements if they don’t’ follow his example. However, his smarts all originate from logic and books rather than street smarts, and as such, he is lacking in adaptability and flexibility; though his memory is impeccable and he is quick to think things through.

When alone, Ester enjoys comparing others to himself, always finding away to make them inferior to him; of course, he won’t voice any of his internal thoughts aloud. After all, he enjoys having bonds to many people and is too vain to even dare to loose one of these connections. He can be narcissistic from time to time and enjoys his own appearance a tad too much, but that side of him rarely surfaces.

Generally, Ester’s true goal in life is to make himself known in the Gijinkai world – not superstar material, but with enough connections that he can make things happen with a snap of his fingers. However, this isn’t first and formost in his head; rather, it takes a backseat to any dilemma that he may find himself facing. When a problem is in the way, Ester will not relent until it is solved, and it is a rather large pet peeve of his to leave anything unfinished (or to find something in an unfinished state). He also wishes to grow taller in size, and can be seen drinking milk every day to try and accomplish this.

Because Ester is still getting used to his powers, he doen’t like to use them a lot and prefers to stick to psychological barbs. Though he does want to get stronger, he is strangely hesitant to do so in public. Ever since he was caught in a destructive fight that resulted in the Snover Gijinkai being near death, he has phobia of others touching him after that event. If someone makes contact with him without prior consent, he will flinch violently and immediately isolate himself from the others, even running up to the isolation room from time to time.

Appearance : Base. She’s not actually that ugly and gaudy and oh dear what is that shiny thing.
At first glance, Liss is anything but impressive. Her stature is short, her frame skinny and chest rather unimpressive; she almost never measures up to the rest of the females that populate the school. Standing at only 5 feet, her height is laughable at best when her age is considered. Though she is quick and agile, she lacks definitive muscle and has a hard time making a solid hit, preferring to launch quick attacks against her opponents. Her skin is pale seeing as she spends most of her time in caves or indoors and she has an impish appearance in general.

Her large, slightly slanted eyes are a crimson red that seems to gleam from time to time, outshining her pupils which appear to be small slits. A petit nose and chin and wide mouth define her features, which causes her to come off as child to most. Her ears are pointed, almost like an elf, and they are tucked behind violet hair. It is mostly short overall, though there are longer portions here and there. Her bangs are a choppy mess, parting partially so her eyes may be seen, but the rest tends to hang by the sides of her face. In the back, it barely goes past her natural hairline, but two braids originating from the crown of her head loop towards the front of her head, held in place by hidden pins. The tips flare out, giving the illusion of spikes when she pins them up behind the front portion of her hair with two small clips with an aquamarine jewel on each side of her head. Each stone is medium sized, no larger than two inches in width, and are made from the actual semi-precious stone. The flared portions point directly up, almost making others think of short pigtails. Her teeth are sharp and fanged, able to gnaw through solid stone like a Sableye.

She wears a skin tight purple tank top, similar to the colour of her hair that sticks to her body up until around her hips where the edge is ripped and frayed. There is a striped pattern that runs horizontally, altering between the normal violet colour and a darker one, but it is not too visible. The straps are very thin, almost like threads, and they are pulled back into a racing back top. The front is patterned with small red jewels that follow a line from the top hem to the bottom right down the middle. Her pants consist of short-shorts that are a darker purple, ending above her mid-thigh. They have black accents similar to a pair of denim pants, as well as light blue buttons. Her shoes are a pair of flats the same colour of her hair, comfortably worn in and will always hold their place on her feet.

Her elbows, knees and hands are covered with protective wear, namely elbow-pads, kneepads and gloves. They are very thin, and as a result, not too bulky, but they do their job well enough. All of them are a shade of violet, and the pads on her elbows are spiked to the back slightly. Around her left ankle is a purple anklet made of thread, hand woven and rather worn. She is near sighted and thus, needs glasses; however, she prefers her contacts so that her vision is a perfect 20/20. Her normal pair of glasses consists of a thin black frame that is squared in the front, and the lenses have a light bluish tint when the light hits them. She rarely wears them, only when she needs to appear older or represent the school. When she wants to look cooler, she puts on a pair of chunky black shades, but they do nothing for her vision. If she decides to go out, her bag is a light blue with black straps and accents.

Personality : Liss is the definition of a daredevil – she won’t hesitate to jump headfirst into something, despite what bodily harm it can do her. Fearless, there is nothing that she is afraid of and seems to be lacking apprehension in general. Whether it’s battling others or breaking rule after rule, she doesn’t even stop to think about the consequences before charging forward. Because of this, she rarely thinks of how others are affected by her rather reckless way of acting, often pulling them into her adventures in the process.

She is fairly crafty and sly, able to slink around the teachers and classes without alerting even the most attentive Rattata. Having been around the school for quite a while, she knows every single nook and cranny to a T. There is no hiding spot safe nor rumour unknown to her, and she is rather proud of the fact. Truthfully, Liss is prideful of any talent she possesses and won’t hesitate to show it off if the moment comes along. However, she is more of a fan of aiding others around the school rather than showing off her prowress.

Liss has a small attention span, often flitting from one thing to another in a heartbeat. If something does not interest her, she will move on, while things that are sparkly and shimmer in the light draw her closer. Also, like most Sableye and Reki, she has peculiar attraction towards any gemstone she may find, pocketing it for digestion later on. She enjoys spelunking in damp, dark, dank caves whenever she has the time – give her a free class and you’ll see her trekking off to the closest cavern to the school. This is where she does most of her daredevil acts, meaning that most of the time, not too many people are caught up in the aftermath. If she could, she would spend most of her time hiding out in caves and doing what other Gijinkai are too afraid to do, even if the task comes off as impossible.

Appearance : Holly stands around 5’7” and has strikingly black eyes. She has a soft round face usually covered by a sweet smile. She is skinny, but has generous curves following the round theme of a castform. She also has small feet (size 4 in American scale. Do other countries have other scales?), but is able to cover up this feature by wearing larger shoes. She is very self conscious about her feet.

Holly’s hair and skin color changes drastically with the weather. In normal weather, when clouds cover the sun and/or it isn’t particularly hot, Holly light skin, the average color of most caucasian, and short, light gray hair cut in a bob. When it is sunny, however, Holly’s hair will suddenly poof up into curls that flow down to her waist, and changes to a orangish red. Her skin, also, immediately tans to a brown. In rainy weather, Holly’s hair will remain straight but become longer, coming to a point just past her shoulders. It turns indigo in color, with light blue highlights. Whenever it is cold, or begins to hail or snow, Holly’s hair becomes a darker gray and curls elegantly into a spiral, just shorter than in her Sunny form. Her skin becomes extremely pale, as if to match the white snow.

Holly wears a dark gray skirt with black leather boots slightly feminized but still very practical. Her hair is always kept in line with at least two bobby pins, due to its tendency to change suddenly. She wears a cobalt tank top to finish the outfit. At the moment, this is the only outfit that Holly owns.

Surrounding her hips constantly is a foggy cloud. This is almost always present, but due to the transparency of clouds up close, not many will notice this unless it is pointed out. It does not really affect her so much, but makes her skirt being waterproof useful.

Personality:
Holly is extremely optimistic on the outside, and is usually seen smiling to herself or trying to start a pleasant conversation with someone. And it takes a lot for her to hate someone, but mainly because she usually does not hold strong feelings towards anyone. She tries to help everyone as much as possible, and is intuitive when it comes to others’ wants and needs. Whenever she is criticized, or any negativity comes her way, she will usually try to get out of it by being as passive as possible. If this fails, however, she usually will do whatever necessary to get out of the situation whole.

However, despite her refined personality, Holly cares little towards how people act and feel, as long as they do not affect her. Any ties she makes were made for a logical reason, and not for the desire to belong or out of like to someone. She will be nice to them, but can simply walk out of their life without a second glance.


Holly doesn’t become close to people, and feels no use for friends. Deep down, Holly is a fairly selfish person, but is skilled at hiding it. She is frustrated by those not smart as her, sometimes wishes she could lash out at them. However, her great self-control has thus far prevented this from happening.

Holly wishes to become very skilled at almost everything possible. She views almost everything as a competition, and everyone has her rivals. If she is not good at something, she will practice non stop until death or she feels she has mastered it.

Holly herself is very logical, and thinks through all situations with calmness. Emotion plays a very low effect in all of her actions, but most people will not realize this unless they pay tremendously close attention to her. She does not feel that her lack of emotion makes her a bad person, but often wonders if she is missing something when around those who have a great love for each other.


Holly wishes to become as strong as possible, and spends hours and hours trying to master moves Lala will demonstrate. It is a very appealing idea to Holly to be able to change the weather at her command, and also wishes to learn attacks. She is power hungry, no doubt, but does not have any evil plans to accompany this greed.

Louise is one of those girls who are rather easy on the eyes completely naturally, not having to do anything in particular to increase her physical appeal, well, apart from make sure she has a healthy diet of course. She stands at about 5’07’’, and weighs just a little over 110 pounds, giving her a rather nice figure. Also, since she is seventeen, her upper body has ‘developed’ to a reasonable extent.

Her blond hair has a noticeable green hue and is relatively long, the back and sides reaching just past her shoulders while her fringe moves to the left of her head, keeping itself out of her eyes. At the top of Louise’s head, there is a single leaf that emerges from her hair, which curls in a rather adorable way. Her ears also emerge from out of her head, both of which are also essentially ear shaped leaves. The ears are not brittle however, well, apart from around the edges where they are exceptionally thin.

Covering Louise’s body is a simple, pale green dress which reaches just past midway down her thighs, and leaves a slight part of her ‘upper features’ exposed. The dress itself has no fastenings to hold it onto Louise’s body, other than how snugly it fits. Louise’s tail extends out of a carefully placed and shaped hole in her dress, and looks very similar to her ears in the way that it resembles a leaf.

Around Louise’s left wrist are a collection of bracelets her brother, Chris, bought for her a while ago, along with a necklace which has some kind of black gem on it. She wears both at all times, and is still seeking something she can buy for her brother in return. Since she is not allowed to leave the academy however, this is somewhat of an issue.

While seeing Louise wearing footwear is far from a rarity, it isn’t exactly common. She enjoys the feeling of ground on her feet, as well as the texture of whatever she is walking on in general. However, if she feels the surface she is walking on is too uncomfortable, she will retrieve a pair of sandals from her bag, if she is carrying her bag anyway.

Personality: Louise is a rather pleasant Gijinka, who is about as far from shy as humanly (Gijinkanly?) possible. That is not to say she is overly talkative however, she knows when it is time to shut up, but she never seems to have trouble being the one to start a conversation. She is also rather energetic, meaning she enjoys taking part in sports, playing with Botanica and other Pokemon, which helps her keep her ideal figure. This seemingly boundless energy can lead her to cause accidents however, such as breaking something when she plays ‘fetch’ with Botanica indoors when it is cold outside.

Being a grass type, she loves being outside (unless it is a bit too cold for her), which is helpful considering her playful nature, otherwise she would probably end up breaking stuff rather frequently. As for being inside, it’s not something that Louise particularly despises, but she would much rather be outside than in, especially when the air inside starts to get dry, or there isn’t really that much light. After a relatively long amount of little light Louise becomes rather tired, and will eventually fall asleep, meaning she probably performs some kind of photosynthetic bodily processes like plants.

Louise doesn’t particularly have any major goals in life, other than to simply enjoy it. She does enjoy spending time with her brother, despite the fact that he gets a little protective around her sometimes, something which Louise is actually trying to help Chris to stop doing, as it is annoying him somewhat. He knows Louise is old enough to look after herself, but he still has the conflicting view of her being the little sister he has to help, something that Louise both appreciates and understands.

As for fears, Louise does have somewhat of a fear of poison and bug type Pokemon/Gijinka, which is probably due to her being a grass type Gijinka. This culminates in her drastic fear of Ariados, which is probably better described as a phobia. When they are nearby, Louise literally freezes in position while shaking uncontrollably, and under prolonged exposure to the Pokemon, she will eventually faint.

Occasionally, when she is in a somewhat devilish mood, Botanica will assist Glacia in ‘teasing’ male Pokemon, but unlike her sister, she will only do so if they are in the same egg group as her.

Jackson is tall, standing at about 5'8 while weighing about 130 pounds. Despite his weight, he still looks incredibly lanky and thin. He hates this (since he likes to look tough) so he wears big, baggy clothes in an attempt to seem bigger. This mostly consists of his blue vest on black tank top, with his blue cargo pants and ridiculous black boots. When he wants to just hang around his room, he wears a bit more casual clothing, opting instead for just the black tank top, blue cargo shorts, and equally ridiculous black sneakers. Shortly after becoming a Gijinka, Jackson dyed his hair blue to try to fit into what he was already about to become. Paired with his bright red eyes, Jackson’s hair makes his pale skin look even more translucent than it truly is. He looks very animal-like and tough, which is almost near opposite of his personality. He also wears a kind of mask/goggles that he wears nearly constantly, mostly self-consciously.
Personality: Jackson is generally very quiet, preferring to watch other students at the Academy rather than participate in actual activities himself. He tends to shy away from most confrontation, mumbling only a few words before sprinting for his room. He can muster maybe a bit of a forced smile if he’s in a particularly bad mood, but other than that, he will usually just stare at his boots until whoever is talking to him goes away. Jayson is constantly scolding him for being so negative and shy, and Jackson struggles to please his companion. Jackson attempts to be his nicest, but due to his shyness, just comes off looking like a creepy kid. Jackson is also extremely self conscious and hates the fact that he has become a Gijinka and now must go to school. He dreams one day of having a normal life, but he doesn’t dare share these thoughts with anyone, not even with Jayson.

He’s harsh most of the time, though only when he and Jackson are alone does he start talking less about better fighting techniques and more about what Jackson wants to accomplish at this Academy, who he hopes to meet, or things like that. He does listen to the things Jackson has to say to him, but Jayson chooses what is truly important and gives Jackson advice on that instead of the more trivial matters. He is mostly tough (as Jackson so desperately wishes to be), but he has his moments when Jackson’s kindness gets to him.

He has a small diamond earring on his left ear. There is also a silver metal cross around his neck that reaches to his chest; he always keeps it clean and shiny. He wears a black or white shirt with a dark blue jacket with flame coloured fur on the top. His jeans are black and have a few rips. He has white sneaker with red laces and a red line running around the bottom side of the shoe. His clothes are Flame retardant.

Personality: Andre is a care-free mischievous person and athletic. He is always smiling and joking around with people. He will always be seen doing something that could get him in trouble and he doesn’t care. You could also call him a player, going after any women he wants, and they can’t resist him. He dislikes school or any education; he keeps an average grade in his studies but never cares about it. He will always be seen slacking off in classes and pissing off teachers. Also he will be rarely seen alone since he hates it, when he is alone he will immediately find someone to be with.

Of course he loves fire and hate water. He will rarely been seen at a large body of water alone unless he is with friends or if he is fishing, he love to fish. He loves warm places and tends to stay in places that are warm. Also he is amazing at playing guitar, he has been playing it for years and could almost always be seen with it. He is an amazing fighter, knowing martial art but he dislikes fighting and tries to avoid it but if he has no other chose but to fight he will. Caspian is tall (5'11") and whip-cord lean; under layers and layers of heavy clothing, his body is in impeccable condition, hardened and shaped by years of rigorous training. Despite the extended periods of time he spends in the sun, his skin is always a sickly gray -- an effect of his mutation, and the skin under his eyes is always smudged with bruise-like darkness. His face is long and angular, tapering to a sharp point, as does his nose and each eye, which are, normally, a bright vibrant red, but will darken to bloody crimson when he's angered. His hair is long and light as air, the same rich blue as the majority of his robes and falls to about mid-back, he sometimes pulls it back into a ponytail -- a sign of Caspian being in deep thought -- which, admittedly, doesn't happen very often.

Caspian's outfit is almost unnecessarily extravagant, decorated to the gills with sumptuous designs on rich colours and gilded in silver. It is composed of two main layers: the first is a hardy skin-tight black affair made from toughened leather; this is the more practical of the layers, as it is thick enough to stop the most devastating of blows. It isn't, however, invincible. The second layer is more for fashion than function, as Caspian is really not a 'black leather and nothing else' type of guy. This layer is composed of several separate strips of deep blue and green fabrics, they are akin to silk, but not quite, and they move like liquid. Floral patterning is stitched into the layers of cloth below the cincher at his waist, as well as into the fabric of his sleeves. Laid overtop the robes with strategic placing are small, flexible steel platelets; they too are made with only the finest of materials, and sculpted to cradle his body flawlessly. There are four in total: one over each shoulder, both of which connect to the third, which covers the vulnerable place between his clavicle and sternum. The fourth is placed atop the crown of his head, taking the form of two long, wing-like horns, one hooked into the nook behind each of his ears. The craftsmanship and grade of metal match that of his sword. Despite his enhanced abilities of hand-to-hand combat, Caspian chooses to wield his sword in the majority of battles. Perhaps he is just nostalgic, longing for the past days of servitude to his lordship, of whom he can't even remember.

Personality: Quick to anger, quick to speak, and quick to jump to a conclusion, Caspian is very much ruled by his emotions. He has no sense of self-doubt and never second guesses his actions, which would make him a very effective leader, if he would take the time to think over his plans before following through with them and, determined as he is, he will always follow through. When Caspian gets his mind set on something (and what a one-track mind it is) he will obsess and pine over that one idea until he does something about it, sometimes hurting himself or others in the process. He doesn't give much thought to consequence, whether long or short term, preferring to live in the moment and save the repercussions for later.

Due to his war-hero past, most of which is only the vaguest of memories, Caspian still has the taste of victory ingrained in his mind; he still longs for approval and, to an extent, worship. As such, he takes any proffered opportunity to prove himself, often rushing headlong into unfavourable circumstances without thought. He also has a tendency to speak of himself in high esteem, striking extensive poses and becoming inappropriately happy in the face of conflict or violence. He refuses to accept loss, and will fight until all of his physical resources are exhausted, and he collapses spent -- or worse. Caspian is a self-motivated perfectionist, he pushes himself to one hundred percent, and still demands more. He is always in the mood for a playfight, and is known to sneak out of his room afterhours to find a willing participant -- or tree stump -- to practice his ever-growing arsenal of moves and techniques on.

This is Vincent; the outfit he's wearing here is for special occasions (Well he just put's on his cloak).

Neither thin, nor fat (anymore), Vincent has an average body weighing around 130 pounds and 5'6" in height. He has straight, sleek, black hair that is always held together in a high ponytail. His ponytail is quite annoying as it always sways, hitting the people behind him. Vincent's thin, pointed face is quite misleading from his actual bigger frame. Since his Gijinkafication, Vincent's eyes have stayed a crimson red and his skin has a green tint.

Vincent's head piece is undetectable, but fortunately he does not feel the weight of it at all. His everyday outfit consists of a long kimono like piece that is white, red, and gold in colour. Vincent is also always seen wearing a pair of golden gloves.

Underneath all that fabric, Vincent has the three hooks wrapping around his ribcage like Giratina and a black rim on both upper arms and thighs.

Personality:

Growing up, Vincent was always the chubby kid and not until his Gijinkafication did he start losing weight rapidly. Even though he's a lot thinner now, Vincent has always been a bit uncomfortable about his body and this explains his choice of clothing (he thinks his kimono would hide his frame). Because he's sensitive about his weight, Vincent does not take fat jokes lightly thinking they are directed at him. This would put him in a defensive mood and would snap back at the source of the joke. But unfortunately Vincent was never great at comebacks.

Vincent is a germaphobe. He's been like this since he was a child. The very thought of all these small, disgusting germs infesting everything completely grosses him out. He is unable to erase the thought out of his mind and is constantly reminded of it. So instead of choosing not to touch anything, Vincent wears a pair of golden gloves that he washes at the end of every day. But for more protection, Vincent also carries a small bottle of disinfecting hand gel.

Because of his phobia, Vincent prefers to stay indoors and only goes out when he really needs to, so most of his time is spent indoors, which can get quite boring. To keep himself busy, Vincent can be found doing various sorts of activities. Most which include cleaning his room or studying (this is why he does really well in school).

Personality: Taylor is a silly, silly boy. He enjoys playing pranks on anybody he encounters, as that is his way to get to know them. He loves to be the center of attention and his ultimate goal in life is to befriend everybody in the world (However unrealistic that goal may be). He is also very self-conscious about the fact that he is a Gijinkai, hence the reason behind his contacts and his attempts to look as normal as possible. He wishes to one day live a normal life as a Ginjinkai in hiding. As one can tell, Taylor's wishes are more dreams than reality.

He cracked his neck and his knuckles, a habit that he had picked up from his older brother. He would say he missed his family, but that really wasn't true. The only thing he truly missed about them was the look on their faces whenever he successfully pulled off a prank. He closed his eyes and breathed in through his nose, ignoring the flood of images that forced themselves into the boy's head. He often got like this, all riled up over a memory, then having to calm himself down before he could rest easy. But it seemed he'd never get some easy rest as long as he was at this school. Taylor started blinking rapidly, sitting up quickly as his contacts slipped off his eyes. He took them off, watching them fold up against itself and disappear. He frowned and stood up, walking over to the mirror in the room. He stared at himself in the mirror, dark, unblinking eyes staring back. He touched his fingertips lightly to the glass, smiling ruefully in spite of himself. One day he would be normal. One day, he promised himself. A picture of his brother smiled at him from beyond the glass on top of his bed. Taylor picked up the photo frame and plopped down on the bed, deciding to putt off replacing his contacts. He stared at the picture, one of his brother giving a knuckle sandwich to Taylor before he had been changed into what he was today. Taylor put the picture face down on the bed and turned onto his side. He wouldn't have anyone looking at him anyway.

Marble has a petite frame, and stands at 5’ 4”. She is fairly muscular, however, and it shows in her calves and upper body under close inspection. She wears her hair in a sideways ponytail that splits into three neat strands and forms round balls at the end. The balls are just hair, however, that curled so perfectly to match that of a manaphy. Her blue hair changes color in bright sunlight, sometimes lightening a little.

Not in the picture, Marble carries around a plain white waterproof bag around her shoulder. It is small and old, but works well enough.

Her eyelashes are long and thick, as if she put a little too much mascara on. On the tip of two particularly long eyelashes on each eye are golden beads. She may have gotten this as part of the mutation.

She wears a scandalously short dress, with long boots. Both are turquoise, and the blue dress has two red gems to further imitate the manaphy. In her dress are two holes that are filled by two gems that emerge from her chest. They are attached to her body.


Personality: Marble is very sweet, and constantly thinks of what others think of her. She hasn’t quite accepted being a Gijinka, since she is confused of what other normal people will feel, so recently she has been avoiding people altogether.

Before becoming a Gijinka, however, she was always trying to make others happy. She usually doesn’t do much for her benefit, with the one exception of working extra hard to keep herself “beautiful.” Now, she does this to make herself feel good, but this used to be done to please others.

From a young age, Marble has been fascinated by technology. She would tear up her computer and put it back the way it was, in order to figure out how it works. She is very talented at fixing broken things, as well as improving existant technology. However, in other ways, Marble would not be considered the brightest crayon in the box. She often forgets stuff a little too fast, and even forgot her original name when she became a Gijinka. She will deny this however, and insist that Marble Seendy was her birth name.

She does remember Sunnyshore was her home at one point, because she remembers wishing to disassemble the solar panels. However, everything else she seems to have forgotten.

Marble never liked lakes. The water seemed so trapped, so confused. Why couldn’t it just go home? Thought Marble sadly. The water wanted to go to the ocean. At least, she thought it did.

Looking around the lake, Marble tried to remember why she came. Sighing, she took out her journal and flipped to the most recently written on page. “Find another Gijinka.” Oh yes! Marble wanted to find another one like her. She had heard rumors that a legendary pokemon lived in a lake like this. Maybe a Gijinka for that pokemon?

It didn’t seem like it, though. The lake was calm, and not even a pokemon was making noise. It was fairly depressing, since she probably had to work hard to get here.

Sitting down on a rock, Marble tried to remember where she had heard the term Gijinka. She never actually met another Gijinka, that was for sure. She would remember that. She wanted to find another one really bad. She didn’t like going into towns now, since she didn’t know what people would think of her. She actually didn’t look that inhuman- her beads could have easily been a fashion statement, and there were probably other people that had hair that fell like hers did. But, she wasn’t willing to take that chance. All she needed was one cruel stare, and she could bust into tears in public. No, she would much rather find another of her kind.

Getting up again, Marble refilled the water bottle in the lake. She needed to get going, before someone came out to the lake. She jotted down in her journal how there was nothing at the lake, but she couldn’t remember the name of the lake. Or how she got here. She walked in a random direction, hoping that she would eventually just find where she was going by luck.

Appearance: Jamie has shoulder-length hair of a dark purple; it curls upwards, naturally, at the ends. Her hair tends to fall in a certain strange way, and if she cuts it, it will always grow back. It covers her ears, two sides covering part of her cheeks. There is a stray strand going down her back that, like the rest of the hair, tends to fall as it wills. Jamie’s eyes are generally purple, but when she is angry or using her powers, they turn black with red pupils, much like Palkia’s. Her skin is almost purplish in hue, and up either side of her neck runs a bent line of purple, which continues across her chest. This glows when she is using her powers.

From her shoulders extend two wing-like features, which can fan out. And they usually do this when she’s angry or attacking. Jamie is, for a girl, quite large, but most of her weight comes from her muscles. Upon her shoulders are two circular plates, with dark purple lines surrounding, a pearl inset in each. Her arms are normal in size, but there are ridges upon them, and her fingernails grow to be very sharp. To complete her Pokémon-like features, there is a tail jutting from her rear, tipped in the same violet like the lines on her neck. Her feet are quite large, with lines of purple running up and down them.

Jamie does not claim to be fashion-savvy, and in fact, the way she dresses is very normal. She dresses for necessity, not style. This normally consists of a printed t-shirt—with a blue jean jacket if it is cold—and a pair of jeans. Upon her feet, she slips a pair of slip-on black shoes. Underneath, however, she wears a purple bikini, for Jamie enjoys the water and at random times has been known to spend a great deal of time within it.

Personality: Jamie has a great love for the sea, and for water in general. As such, most of the time, you’ll see her playing with water, dancing in the rain or spending copious amounts of time within the shower. She is a bit childish for her age and doesn’t care if people think it’s ridiculous. Normally, this belies her intellilgence.

She hasn’t quite accepted being a Gijinka; in fact, she is scared of herself. She fears what she might do on accident to other people, and thus she tends to isolate herself. Rarely does she care what you think of her, though, until she befriends you. A close friend to Jamie is someone she deeply cares about, someone she’d do just about anything for. It is something she still seeks.

Jamie wishes that she were normal. That she could be a trainer with a Pokémon companion, travelling the continent. Sometimes she reflects upon this and is saddened at the fact that it seems she will never be “normal.”

Bag Contents: Jamie keeps a few notebooks and a sketchpad, as well as binders and schoolbooks, the latter two being used for school-related tasks, the former usually being filled with drawings. You've put quite a bit of effort into this, haven't you? I can't pass this up...

Despite already being a stands-out-like-a-sore-thumb Glaceon Gijinka, Chris makes no attempt to hide his identity from anyone when he goes outside the academy, not that you can really do much about two giant, blue spiky ears sticking out from your head, or a blue tail sticking out of your ass…

While his body is of an average height of about 5’10’’, and his weight is an equally average 120 pounds, Chris’ hair is naturally a rather un-natural mixture of a white main bulk, with dark blue tips on the end of his fringe, two pale blue long streaks down either side of his head, and dark blue back, all of which appears to be gelled into a rather radical style, but is in fact the natural way that the boy’s hair grows.

The clothing that covers Chris’ very lightly built muscular body consists of a sleeveless black zip up shirt come jacket which fits rather snugly, but not so that it restricts movement. The zip of the jacket is marked with a light blue line of fabric, which also extends around the top of it’s collar. Just because this jacket is sleevless, it doesn’t mean that Chris’ arms are completely bare however. On his forearms you will find two pieces of fabric that resemble bracers somewhat, but they extend just past his elbow in one direction, and fan out over the backs of his hands, making his hands invisible when he has his fists clenched. Just above the bracer on Chris’ left arm, you will find a tattoo of pattern that has no special meaning to Chris, other than the fact that he thought it makes people think of ice, meaning it suited him.

On his lower body, Chris wears a rather simple pair of black pants, complete with a hole for his tail, fitting equally as snugly as his sleeveless upper body wear, as well of a pair of simple black white socks. These socks are easily visible due to Chris’ footwear, which are a pair of tabi-style dark navy-blue sandals (with soles nowhere near as big as the reference image).

Personality: Put simply, Chris is one of those people that you would want on your side at all times. This is not because he is insanely violent however, in fact, he is typically quite the opposite, it is because he is incredibly loyal to those who he would deem as friends or acquaintances, willing to do anything to defend those people if a dangerous situation should arise. This can lead to him getting a little over protective over people from time to time (culminating in how he acts around his sister sometimes), which Chris is aware of this himself, and can sometimes lead to the people he is ‘protecting’ feeling relatively embarrassed due to his actions, if the person is of that nature.

When he is ‘alone’, Chris does enjoy simply spending time relaxing with his Glaceon, who he aptly named Glacia. This can mean anything from brushing his Pokemon’s fur, simply lying on his bed asleep with her curled up beside him, playing his guitar while she listens to him, and practically anything else that can be considered relaxing. When around others, he will talk to them without any real hesitation, and is often seen talkimg with his sister, and has no problem in performing some kind of activity with them, whether it be playing a sport, practicing playing muscal, assisting them with homework, he;ll do pretty much anything, unless it is something which would end up hurting someone, physically or emotionally. The only time he would ever dare hurt someone would be if they hurt one of his friends, and if you hurt his sister, prepare for a world of hurt.

Being a Glaceon Gijinka, one would imagine Chris would rather enjoy cold environments, despise overly warm places, and enjoy cold food, you know, follow stereotypes and all that jazz. While this is true, Chris cannot help but frequently get cravings for the spicier things in life, such as curries, and sometimes even raw chilli peppers. Speaking of stereotypes, they are one of Chris’ biggest hates in the world, how some people get judged right off the bat simply by their appearance, race, belief, or even taste in music. It’s simply one of the things that disgusts him about human society, though he understands that not all humans are like this, otherwise he would be rather hypocritical.

Nature: Glacia is a rather outgoing Pokemon, often seen flirting with other Pokemon that belong in the same 'egg group' as her, but sometimes even that isn't enough to stop her. Despite this rather behaviour, you would find that Glacia is a very trustworthy companion, epitomizing in her unparalleled loyalty to Chris, which shows greatly whenever the two battle.

Louise is one of those girls who are rather easy on the eyes completely naturally, not having to do anything in particular to increase her physical appeal, well, apart from make sure she has a healthy diet of course. She stands at about 5’07’’, and weighs just a little over 110 pounds, giving her a rather nice figure. Also, since she is seventeen, her upper body has ‘developed’ to a reasonable extent.

Her blond hair has a noticeable green hue and is relatively long, the back and sides reaching just past her shoulders while her fringe moves to the left of her head, keeping itself out of her eyes. At the top of Louise’s head, there is a single leaf that emerges from her hair, which curls in a rather adorable way. Her ears also emerge from out of her head, both of which are also essentially ear shaped leaves. The ears are not brittle however, well, apart from around the edges where they are exceptionally thin.

Covering Louise’s body is a simple, pale green dress which reaches just past midway down her thighs, and leaves a slight part of her ‘upper features’ exposed. The dress itself has no fastenings to hold it onto Louise’s body, other than how snugly it fits. Louise’s tail extends out of a carefully placed and shaped hole in her dress, and looks very similar to her ears in the way that it resembles a leaf.

Around Louise’s left wrist are a collection of bracelets her brother, Chris, bought for her a while ago, along with a necklace which has some kind of black gem on it. She wears both at all times, and is still seeking something she can buy for her brother in return. Since she is not allowed to leave the academy however, this is somewhat of an issue.

While seeing Louise wearing footwear is far from a rarity, it isn’t exactly common. She enjoys the feeling of ground on her feet, as well as the texture of whatever she is walking on in general. However, if she feels the surface she is walking on is too uncomfortable, she will retrieve a pair of sandals from her bag, if she is carrying her bag anyway.

Personality: Louise is a rather pleasant Gijinka, who is about as far from shy as humanly (Gijinkanly?) possible. That is not to say she is overly talkative however, she knows when it is time to shut up, but she never seems to have trouble being the one to start a conversation. She is also rather energetic, meaning she enjoys taking part in sports, playing with Botanica and other Pokemon, which helps her keep her ideal figure. This seemingly boundless energy can lead her to cause accidents however, such as breaking something when she plays ‘fetch’ with Botanica indoors when it is cold outside.

Being a grass type, she loves being outside (unless it is a bit too cold for her), which is helpful considering her playful nature, otherwise she would probably end up breaking stuff rather frequently. As for being inside, it’s not something that Louise particularly despises, but she would much rather be outside than in, especially when the air inside starts to get dry, or there isn’t really that much light. After a relatively long amount of little light Louise becomes rather tired, and will eventually fall asleep, meaning she probably performs some kind of photosynthetic bodily processes like plants.

Louise doesn’t particularly have any major goals in life, other than to simply enjoy it. She does enjoy spending time with her brother, despite the fact that he gets a little protective around her sometimes, something which Louise is actually trying to help Chris to stop doing, as it is annoying him somewhat. He knows Louise is old enough to look after herself, but he still has the conflicting view of her being the little sister he has to help, something that Louise both appreciates and understands.

As for fears, Louise does have somewhat of a fear of poison and bug type Pokemon/Gijinka, which is probably due to her being a grass type Gijinka. This culminates in her drastic fear of Ariados, which is probably better described as a phobia. When they are nearby, Louise literally freezes in position while shaking uncontrollably, and under prolonged exposure to the Pokemon, she will eventually faint.

Gender: Female
Nature: Put simply, Botanica is a rather playful Pokemon, who enjoys nothing more than playing with Louise in the various gardens around the academy. She wears a Macho Brace to slow her down, so as little destruction as possible occurs when she is playing, even if it is accidental. Occasionally, when she is in a somewhat devilish mood, Botanica will assist Glacia in ‘teasing’ male Pokemon, but unlike her sister, she will only do so if they are in the same egg group as her.

Flynn watched silently as the Female Nidoran 'talked' with Andi, the two of them discussing just why the poison-type wanted to travel with Andi in particular, which in the end, was rather guilt driven, similar to how the two Nidorans initially both wanted to travel with Flynn together. Eventually, Andi agreed to taking the Nidoran on as a companion, but by no means did she seem too ecstatic about it. This didn't really suprise Flynn however, because after only spending what was under a twenty four hour period with her, the teen had decided that while Andi did have a rather strong tomboyish vibe about her, she didn't seem to be all that emotional. Well, that was Flynn's view anyway.

Eventually, after hearing the fact that the Female Nidoran was to be known as Nene, Flynn realised that he hadn't given the Male Nidoran a nickname. The teen was rather confused about how the thought had completely crossed his mind, he couldn't really fathom how he could have forgotten such a thing, but the fact remained that he had, and it could be easily ammended. There was a slight problem though, Flynn simply couldn't think of a nickname for the Nidoran. With Infernus thinking of the name was easy as there are a lot of well know words that are linked to fire, but he simply couldn't think of any words that were linked to poison that could be used as a name.

"Well, I could always just thing of a name that is literally a name, one without any real meaning..." Flynn thought to himself as he silently agreed to Andi's request to follow her, his limp subsiding a little due to being distracted by his thoughts. "...that said, I can't really call him Jack or something like that can I? Wow, why is this so hard?"

As Flynn carried on with his thoughts, he noticed that there was a blueish-pink shape walking just infront of him, which to Flynn's suprise turned out to be Nene. Flynn wondered why the small poison-type was not walking beside her trainer, or at least in her general vacinity similar to Ruby, Infernus was also obviously a little puzzled by this, which could be judged by the way he was refusing to take his eyes of the nearing poison-type. Flynn soon deduced a reason for this behaviour however, whether his theory was right or not however he didn't know, only Nene truly knew that.

"Would you like me to let Kyo out of his Pokeball?" Flynn enquired, the Male Nidoran's nickname suddenly rolling off of his tongue as he thought of it, his right hand also travelling to his belt and retrieving the Male Nidoran's Pokeball. Without waiting for any conformation, Flynn released the newly dubbed Pokemon from it's confinement, the Pokemon letting out a firm cry of his name out as he materialised from his Pokeball looking at Flynn, which sounded a little amusing due to the Pokemon's naturally high voice, though Flynn did manage to hold back his laugh completely. The teen couldn't help but look a little suprised about something for a while however, that something being the fact that the piece of black denim, which was previously on the Male Nidoran's horn, had seemingly vanished without a trace since the Pokemon had re-emerged from his Pokeball.

"I think your little friend over there wanted you to be out of your Pokeball so she could walk with you." Flynn informed the Pokemon, smirking a little as the small poison-type looked at Nene happily. "I'm naming you Kyo by the way, does that sound allright to you?" The Nidoran turned back to Flynn at the mention of a name, before nodding happily and letting out an enthusiastic "Nido!", as if he were actually trying to say the name that Flynn had just given him, causing Infernus to let out a noise that sounded almost like a sigh as he stood obediently by the heel of of his trainer.

"Allrigt then, I guess that's settled." Flynn confirmed with a slight smile on his face as he began walking again, Infernus 'heeling' as usual while Kyo walked infront of him, positioned literally right next to Nene, rather happy to be in such a place, looking back at Flynn every now and again to make sure he was allright, similar to how Ruby often checked back on Andi.

Appearance: He stands at 5’10 and is rather thin and tan. He has blonde hair that reaches the top of his ears, and is normally kept under an orange bandanna His eyes are an Emerald green. He wears a pair of orange jeans, and a short-sleeved orange shirt. Both his pants and his shirt have black Arcanine markings on them, and his pants are custom-made to fit his tail. He has a small tattoo of a dragon on his right shoulder, and another tattoo of flames on his right ankle, just above his scar, from where his Arcanine bit him a bit too hard, and has another small scar on his left knee from where he accidentally cut himself.

Personality: He is normally quiet and serious around others, and quite sarcastic if he feels like the situation calls for it. He is perfectly fine with being alone, and is actually happier with no one around, although he is still as serious. His view on life is somewhat dim, but he still believes that there is more good than evil in the world. He has two goals, one is to try and make a few friends, and the other is to get into the habit of writing in his journal every day.

Megan threw her homework to the side. "Ah, the beauty of having your homework space in your room." She said, glancing at Janey. Her puppy wasn’t normally allowed in her room, but now was on her bed, sleeping. Megan figured she'd take advantage of her parents being gone for the night. She picked up her DS Lite, turned it on, and played HeartGold for a hour. She saved, finally bored. She stared out the window at the sunset until she fell asleep.

She shot up when her room rocked, then sat still. "Oh my pickle! A Earthquake! Janey, you okay, poochie?" Megan asked, turning to look at her dog. She saw a pink shadow hovering above her DS, which was on. Janey was huddled in a corner, shivering. "Okay, your fine. Just scared." Megan said happily. She fell asleep again, only for a couple seconds though. "Why is my DS on!?" She shouted. She looked at her desk, where the DS was. The pink shadow was gone, and it was still on. Megan saved, and turned it off. "Jeez, right when I think I turn it off.... Oh, hey pooch-" Megan stopped and stared at her dog, who was rubbing her head on Megan’s leg. "Cheyena. What the heck." Megan looked at her room. All the animal posters were now pokemon posters, her room was still painted turquoise and brown, and her alarm clock was now red and white. Megan looked at her Poocheyena again. "Hey, poochie. How ya doin'?" Megan asked. Everything felt so normal, but so wierd at the same time. She picked up her dog. "Well, lets not stay waiting, girl. We got a world to explore!" Megan said happily, taking two pokeballs out of her backpack, which matched her room. A knock on the window behind her made her turn around. "Did my idiot brother lock himself out of the house, again?" Megan mumbled angrily. She glared out her window, which was two stories off the ground and by a tree. "Oh." She said when she saw what was there instead. A Charmander, glaring at her, and he was obviously cold. She opened the window to let him in. "Hey, Bob. Just don’t set anything on fire, okay?" Megan said, grabbing her backpack. Bob lept onto her shoulder. "Let’s go! Pokemon adventure!" Megan shouted, running out of her room and down the stairs. She said goodbye to her mom, and walked out the front door.

Appearance: Marble.

Marble has a petite frame, and stands at 5’ 4”. She is fairly muscular, however, and it shows in her calves and upper body under close inspection. She wears her hair in a sideways ponytail that splits into three neat strands and forms round balls at the end. The balls are just hair, however, that curled so perfectly to match that of a manaphy. Her blue hair changes color in bright sunlight, sometimes lightening a little.

Not in the picture, Marble carries around a plain white waterproof bag around her shoulder. It is small and old, but works well enough.

Her eyelashes are long and thick, as if she put a little too much mascara on. On the tip of two particularly long eyelashes on each eye are golden beads. She may have gotten this as part of the mutation.

Marble has dark tanned skin, from the hours spent outside near the ocean. She wears long gloves that have openings for her fingers and protect her arms. She wears a scandalously short dress, with long boots. Both are turquoise, and the blue dress has two red gems to further imitate the manaphy. In her dress are two holes that are filled by two gems that emerge from her chest. They are attached to her body.


Personality: Marble is very sweet, and constantly thinks of what others think of her. She hasn’t quite accepted being a Gijinka, since she is confused of what other normal people will feel, so recently she has been avoiding people altogether.

Before becoming a Gijinka, however, she was always trying to make others happy. She usually doesn’t do much for her benefit, with the one exception of working extra hard to keep herself “beautiful.” Now, she does this to make herself feel good, but this used to be done to please others.

From a young age, Marble has been fascinated by technology. She would tear up her computer and put it back the way it was, in order to figure out how it works. She is very talented at fixing broken things, as well as improving existant technology. However, in other ways, Marble would not be considered the brightest crayon in the box. She often forgets stuff a little too fast, and even forgot her original name when she became a Gijinka. She will deny this however, and insist that Marble Seendy was her birth name.

She does remember Sunnyshore was her home at one point, because she remembers wishing to disassemble the solar panels. However, everything else she seems to have forgotten.

Marble never liked lakes. The water seemed so trapped, so confused. Why couldn’t it just go home? Thought Marble sadly. The water wanted to go to the ocean. At least, she thought it did.

Looking around the lake, Marble tried to remember why she came. Sighing, she took out her journal and flipped to the most recently written on page. “Find another Gijinka.” Oh yes! Marble wanted to find another one like her. She had heard rumors that a legendary pokemon lived in a lake like this. Maybe a Gijinka for that pokemon?

It didn’t seem like it, though. The lake was calm, and not even a pokemon was making noise. It was fairly depressing, since she probably had to work hard to get here.

Sitting down on a rock, Marble tried to remember where she had heard the term Gijinka. She never actually met another Gijinka, that was for sure. She would remember that. She wanted to find another one really bad. She didn’t like going into towns now, since she didn’t know what people would think of her. She actually didn’t look that inhuman- her beads could have easily been a fashion statement, and there were probably other people that had hair that fell like hers did. But, she wasn’t willing to take that chance. All she needed was one cruel stare, and she could bust into tears in public. No, she would much rather find another of her kind.

Getting up again, Marble refilled the water bottle in the lake. She needed to get going, before someone came out to the lake. She jotted down in her journal how there was nothing at the lake, but she couldn’t remember the name of the lake. Or how she got here. She walked in a random direction, hoping that she would eventually just find where she was going by luck.

Username: Jamiekairyu (Crimea River)
Character Name: Martin Arenn
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Ranking: Student; he has been here for about a month.
Hometown: Eterna City, Sinnoh
Gijinka Subspecies: Gible

Appearance:
The first thing you might notice about Martin are the dark turquoise jet-plane-like features on either side of his head, a single lighter pinstripe going through both. Poor Mart has acquired some bulk upon becoming a Gijinka; whether due to his eating habits or his blood, or both, he doesn’t know. His hair is cut short and parted to the left side, a small bit hanging over and touching his eyebrows, and another part hanging just below his eye. His hair falls in layers down the back, and once it hits the back, that is where it is shaved. Its colour matches the darker shade of the apertures upon his head. His eyes are a beady black, and in his mouth are sharp, powerful teeth.

Martin gets cold easily, and so he wears a red turtleneck, but with short sleeves. Over it he has fitted a jacket that matches his hair in colour. His pants and shoes consist of ordinary faded blue jeans and red tennis shoes. A part has been cut out of his clothing to accommodate for a large, notched fin jutting from his back. His nails, like his teeth, are sharp and dangerous. The beginnings of a tail have begun to emerge from his rear.

Personality:
The first thing that can be known about Martin's personality is that he is never satisfied with his own abilities. He can never believe he is more than decent, and that others are better than him. He doesn't let this get him down, however. Instead, he uses it as his driving force to become even better, and as he improves, becomes more and more critical on himself. This is why he tries to train every day, and usually alone, because he loves working alone. Martin likes to push himself to the limits of what he can do, and at times, he actually gets to a point where he is proud of himself, then looks back on his accomplishment, and thinks little of it. Both praise and criticism, however, make him strive to better moreso, though Martin prefers it when people are to the point and blunt. He doesn't like it when people sugar-coat things, because it isn't the truth, and Martin almost always tells the truth, or part of it if he needs to. He only lies when he feels he must.

Martin would do anything for those he cares about, though it’s difficult for him to approach people for friendship. Whenever he has a friend, though, he fears losing them, regardless of how close they are. Martin's feelings towards other Gijinka at this current point in time are neutral. He doesn't blame them for anything. He knows that some things cannot be helped, and birth is one of them. Martin thinks humans and Gijinkas both are people, they're just different, but he doesn't vouch for either.

Ever since he became a Gijinka, Martin has developed a massive appetite. Not because he likes to eat, but because it feels good to keep his teeth going. When not eating, he’s generally biting his fingernails or chewing on his pencil. For leisure—when not eating—he loves to get dirty in the mud. He finds the floor to be more comfortable than the bed, and cuddles with his Gible at night.

Bag Contents: Assorted berries (at the rate he and Gible eat, these don’t last long), journals and textbooks, a utility knife, matches, pencils & pens, a portable game system with a few games, a laptop mini, vitamins. Various health items for him and his Gible.

Character Name: Jamie Cemmelon

Gijinka Subspecies: Palkia

Appearance: Jamie has shoulder-length hair of a dark purple; it curls upwards, naturally, at the ends. Her hair tends to fall in a certain strange way, and if she cuts it, it will always grow back. It covers her ears, two sides covering part of her cheeks. There is a stray strand going down her back that, like the rest of the hair, tends to fall as it wills. Jamie’s eyes are generally purple, but when she is angry or using her powers, they turn black with red pupils, much like Palkia’s. Her skin is almost purplish in hue, and up either side of her neck runs a bent line of purple, which continues across her chest. This glows when she is using her powers.

From her shoulders extend two wing-like features, which can fan out. And they usually do this when she’s angry or attacking. Jamie is, for a girl, quite large, but most of her weight comes from her muscles. Upon her shoulders are two circular plates, with dark purple lines surrounding, a pearl inset in each. Her arms are normal in size, but there are ridges upon them, and her fingernails grow to be very sharp. To complete her Pokémon-like features, there is a tail jutting from her rear, tipped in the same violet like the lines on her neck. Her feet are quite large, with lines of purple running up and down them.

Jamie does not claim to be fashion-savvy, and in fact, the way she dresses is very normal. She dresses for necessity, not style. This normally consists of a printed t-shirt—with a blue jean jacket if it is cold—and a pair of jeans. Upon her feet, she slips a pair of slip-on black shoes. Underneath, however, she wears a purple bikini, for Jamie enjoys the water and at random times has been known to spend a great deal of time within it.

Personality: Jamie has a great love for the sea, and for water in general. As such, most of the time, you’ll see her playing with water, dancing in the rain or spending copious amounts of time within the shower. She is a bit childish for her age and doesn’t care if people think it’s ridiculous. Normally, this belies her intellilgence.

She hasn’t quite accepted being a Gijinka; in fact, she is scared of herself. She fears what she might do on accident to other people, and thus she tends to isolate herself. Rarely does she care what you think of her, though, until she befriends you. A close friend to Jamie is someone she deeply cares about, someone she’d do just about anything for. It is something she still seeks.

Jamie wishes that she were normal. That she could be a trainer with a Pokémon companion, travelling the continent. Sometimes she reflects upon this and is saddened at the fact that it seems she will never be “normal.”

Bag Contents: Jamie keeps a few notebooks and a sketchpad, as well as binders and schoolbooks, the latter two being used for school-related tasks, the former usually being filled with drawings. Oh, and her plushie collection must not be forgotten; she keeps three small, plush Flaaffys, a bigger Flygon, a Charizard, a Mantine, and a Baltoy. They are all well-loved but not overly worn. And undoubtedly her favourite plushie would be her Dragonite.

RP Sample: This is a version of Jamie; somewhat different from this one, but most of the time, my Jamies are similar, with their personalities shapen by different situations.

A prepared person was a smart person. She'd look over the book herself later; they all needed to, in her opinion. If it was even relevant and not some work of fiction. "Yes, we should find somewhere to rest. Zap and I will gladly take first watch." Her hand felt the hilt of what she'd taken from the library storage. A katana. Though Jamie wasn't, of course, a master of swordplay, she'd taken a few lessons in self-defense in her time. People need to learn that people hurt people more than Pokemon ever will... she thought, hiding the gleam in her eyes at the thought of killing a human being. When dipped in poison produced by her Nidoqueen, the deadly blade would become even more deadly.

She listened now as Elise read. The girl was reading in a deep voice. Did she take this seriously or not? Jamie had no way of knowing. But it was weird, how relevant the book and what it was about was. Was it fate? Or was it Ditto? Jamie looked to the pink blob with curiosity, and a little suspicion. Ditto looked a little sad. Jamie pet Ditto, and it smiled. Poor little critter...but she still couldn't help but wonder. And she hated the idea, as Elise read, of legendary Pokemon being killed. Legendaries existed--those that did--for a reason. For a balance. They were meant to be left well alone. And they were legendary because of their great power, as well as the fact that they were generally unreachable.

Apparently, Elise was just as dubious as Jamie herself. "Isn't it a bit too convenient?" she wondered. "Ditto..." She looked to the Ditto. "You knew something was bad, didn't you?" She tried not to make Ditto feel bad like it had before. "Don't worry, little one. I'm not mad at you. I'm actually pretty grateful." Again, she stroked Ditto. Ditto looked a little playful. Maybe they'd play a little, but later.

The Pokemon Elise released from the Pokeball wasn't recogniseable to Jamie. The girl flipped out her Pokedex--at least that was working--and listened as it relayed, "Dusknoir, the Gripper Pokemon. It receives electrical waves from the spirit world with its antenna and is said to take people to the spirit world as well." Good thing she'd got it updated.

Her Lugia seemed a bit unnerved by the ghost. "Silver, return!" In a glow of light, the Pokemon was recalled into its ball. Jamie shrunk the ball and placed it on her belt. The Lugia would rest, for now. She pulled out a Premier ball. Since the other girl had a fully-evolved Pokemon here, she guessed it wouldn't hurt for her to. Not that she'd let any people touch her. The Nidoqueen stretched, and looked to Jamie. The Drill Pokemon agreed to taking watch. Nidoqueen at her side, she told whoever was still awake, "I'll just need a little bit of rest, and then I'll take watch. Nida, wake us up if anything approaches us." She lay against the tree, cuddling the cute, squishy Ditto close to herself, and closed her eyes.

I have a couple of questions I would like to ask, if you don't mind.

First off, how much 'studying' do members of the Task-Force have to do? If they study as regular as the rest of the students, are they placed in the same classes as them, or are they seperated?

Secondly, wheny you say that you haven't accepted anyone yet, is it because you don't think that our profiles are adequate enough? Are you waiting for more people to apply so you can see what profiles you prefer? Or is there some other reason I don't understand?

In answer to your first question,
the Task Force are placed in the same classes, but segregated from the rest.
In Physical Combat they are only placed up against other Task Force members (and later, Legendaries).

To your second,
there's nothing at all wrong with any of your profiles,
I've read through them and approve,
but I've got to wait to talk with Moe before we can make our joined decision.
The only criticism I may have goes toward Kod and Arkinine,
and it is, basically: watch your paragraph sizes. Based on your RP samples, they seem to be a bit wall-like (my eyes don't appreciate being glued to a monitor for prolonged periods of time). Just more spacing, that's all.

I do have a few more questions actually, reguarding the strength/abilities of Gijinkai/Pokemon. If you were to compare a Gijinkai's abilities to those of a Pokemon, would they be about at the same level of power? Or is one generally superior to the other?

Also, what about TM moves? Are Pokemon/Gijinkai allowed to learn them?

I promise these are my last questions by the way...

Well, right off the bat the pokemon are far superior, as it takes time and effort for a Gijinka to fully tap into his/her power.
Of course, how close they are to their familiar pokemon has bearing on this as well: the farther away, the more watered down their powers become.
I believe that every Gijinka has the potential to become just as powerful as their pokemon counterpart, but it just takes a lot of hard work (see: Task Force). And in regards to powers in general, of course each Gijinka can, over time, learn the moves of their pokemon, but they also have some of the non-attack based powers, like levitation and flash fire, etc.

I think including TMs and HMs would be interesting, and I'd kind of like to develop some kind of reward system involving them ... like the winner of the exam battle gets his/her choice in TM or something.
