its a cloyster, a shelder grabs on slowpoke and then evolves with slowpoke.

Slowbro's Spicies is the "Hermit Crab Pokemon." So the shell on its tail must be the shell it grew up in (even though at the Slowpoke stage it doesn't have a shell), and Slowbro itself is the hermit crab, even though it has no claws, has only two legs, and it doesn't match the description at all.

I always thought it odd that it wasnt listed as a seperate pokemon, as its clearly different to shelder or cloyster. Its one of the weird evolutions like magnetron and dugtrio.

They -say- it's a shellder, but it doesn't look like anything I've ever seen. It's like... a Cloyster, but more of a conch shell in shape.

well, like it says on Bulbapedia, it's a shellder that basically grew into a bivalve-shape when it bit onto Slowpoke's tail. Slowpike in return turns into a Slowbro.

According to the Anime, it's a Shelder that latches onto the tail and evolves into a pokemon different then Cloyster.
The same is said for Slowking, but on his head instead of tail. However, the games don't follow this, as you probably already know. --------------------       My friend made this sprite for me. I do not claim to own it, she was the one who created it, as a commission for me. |
