Welcome to the beautiful world of 2014!
I didn't have time to finish putting together the Tenth Trinket set, but I'm leaving submissions open mainly for new February Trinkets. I will most likely finish the Tenth set by the beginning of next week, though it is possible it may get finished sooner. I'm aiming for it to be another very large Trinket set, so I'm constantly having to check to make sure nothing gets unbalanced. Think I've only messed that up a few times in all of Trinkets, but to me it's worth the time to have it be correct right away.
I will tell you that the next implementation of 6th gen on the site will be Mega Evolutions. No, it will not be all of them at once. They will come out in groups. I will not tell you when it will happen or how it will be done, you will find that out when it is ready and activated for use.
With that said, here are the Special Explorations for this month (better choose wisely, or else):
Tour of Illusions - Beast Trio
A Trio of Trials - Musketeer Trio
Protecting the Fragile - Keldeo
Edit: The Tenth Trinket set is now enabled.

for the 10th set, it would be good if there is a better power or option for prevent trinket from completed set in pokechest (theire are enough user who have missing trinket old set to restock them in market)
it's become very hard to obtain unique trinket,

From where I sit it is still 2013 and I'm calling it a night, but HAPPY NEW YEAR FELLOW GPXrs and kudos on a great year. I'm so glad I came back to the fold. Here is to a full year of activity (meetings not withstanding... did I say that right? I'm a bit tired here) and perhaps some great shinies for us all.
Good night and looking forward to some great explores this month. Don't know which one... I think I got a Keldo, but did I see someone mention there is more than one form? If so... looks like I'll do that one again.

Is it against the rules to make predictions on how future releases might work, because I have a theory about how they're gonna implement Mega Evolutions...

I'm personally anxious for the Site-Wide Shiny Hunt. Haven't done one in a looooong while.
Also a HUGE thanks to the user who put in a female Sh. Burmy! That certainly makes completing that part of the Shiny Dex easier!

I'm really curious about how exactly the mega evolutions will be implemented on the site. The integration of last generations new features went well though, so I'm quite sure the additions will be fun.

I read somewhere that for the Beast trio explorations, they're guaranteed to be shiny, is this true? Still trying to decide which exploration to do.

No exploration Pokemon even normal ones are guaranteed shiny, it goes by luck I'm rpetty sure. Every month their is about 3 shinies for each exploration for the month. Of what I seen.

My GPX+ New Year resolution is to improve my total rank more... I let it slip from 99, but now I've managed to get it back up to 960. So I'm going to try and improve it more

I've got a question about the trinket submissions. Are they now only for februari trinket set or also for normal trinket sets? I've got a few normal trinkets I'd like to submit.

SWSHs generally start around the 15th (maybe a tiny bit later) and are usually announced only a few days earlier.
And yes, there are always SWSHs in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Also, you would know that the voting period for it has started when you see an icon of the Shine Recorder appear above the Pass Counter, where your party count and the weather is shown.

I hope you increase the chance power or give other power to obtain unique trinket easier for user have completed the old sets then trinkets are useless for them (because early no user want trade their new set for old set trinkets)

New trinkets! My (somehow exactly) 2000 chests and I are ready!
(I am a bit inclined to agree with Thor94, though; there's nearly 3k trinkets on the market, and while chance power is definitely very useful, it gets harder not to be buried under tons of trinkets you already have with every new set coming out, even with chance power activated.)

Shouldn't have the race startet today? Or is the year (2013) in the date not the only thing that is wrong? Maybe the race doesn't and even won't start, because 2013 is stored in the database or something like that, haha.

OMG! I never even picked up on the year thing, Vesus! It does make one wonder. I stayed up late tonight hoping to find what daycare couple I needed to begin with (if I had them) but so far... nothing. If the year is stalling the works I'm thinking it'll take an Admin to fix and that might have to wait until morning (or morning for them whatever time that may be). So I guess that means I should scurry off to bed and just do what I can tomorrow to jump in with both fee... hands to click.

Was wondering that myself. But given the links to the SWSH pages in the Shine Recorder haven't worked since the new site launched (not even for the hunts that have happened since then!) I suspect in general that the hunts have a rather low priority level.

Yes, to me, it looks like that as well. After all, the announcement is still misleading (the hunt does NOT start, there is a sign up day before) and the mistakes are still in the text, even though they were reported (the 2013 thing too).
But I think that it's just how it looks to us and not how it is. I don't want to believe that something unique like the SWSH has a rather low priority level

The lack of the multiplier that normally goes with the start of the SWSH as well.

I really don't remember. I've been inactive for quite awhile, and came back on the first of the year. I was excited for this SWSH too...
@Vesus: I hope the SWSH has a high priority too. Doesn't have to be the highest, and probably shouldn't be, but it's a fun community event, I'd hope it would.

Yup, that's usually the case, which is why this one struck me as odd when the 16th rolled around and there was no info on the pokemon we're supposed to be hunting. At first, I just chalked it up to it needing to be manually changed, so it would when one of the admins got on to change it... but I'm not sure what's up now since the 16th's come and gone. We'll see what happens, I wouldn't worry too much since things like this usually give some type of compensation or leeway for lost time.
This is going to lose some of us time :/
Well, hopefully in this case, we're given a day or two of leeway to make up for it since the hunts usually start the voting process (if we get the option, since the admins occasionally pick the choices themselves) around the 8th-12 and usually starts anywhere from the 12th to the 15th (IIRC, the November one started up around the 14th and the September one started around the 12th).

Update! The hunt start will be pushed back a day, but other than that, everything should go as originally planned. Sorry for the inconvenience. So the hunt will start at 11:55 PM EST on 17 January.
If you're wondering, because of the way the script works, waiting a day is the best solution to the problem.

It's a pretty easy mistake to make, especially in January. I manually started the signups, so it'll start tonight at reset as originally planned, yup yup.

I'm not, totally excited for the choices, since I have all the Final evolutions for each, but, since I'm one of the many going for a Living Shiny Dex, I'll still try to get all the evolutions I guess. I'll start with the 5,12k maturity ones, learned from experience with Bagon in September.

Thanks for the update on the shiny hunt! As soon as someone pointed out the 2013 I figured it was a typo that 9 out of 10 of us make in the working world as well. Hard to be upset about something like that when you find yourself guilty of it as well. LOL And yay! I get 24 hrs to find a male and female of Houndour. *hearts* I have the other ones but not that one as my remake of my Dex is only on G. LOL
Can't wait to see what he looks like all shiny-ed up! (hopefully I'll get that chance first hand hahahahahaha)

To be quite honest, the mix-up probably wouldn't have made much difference anyway :/

So the shiny hunt notification says we have until reset 2014-02-04 to hatch shines. Does this mean that the hunt has been pushed 4 days into February?
