I know some people like to hoard items for Explorations so I thought that would be one use for this if it is agreed that it would be a good idea.

I am one of the people that likes to keep items for Explorations.

Also, I am one of many people making Megas to share and it would be nice if I got a notifier before I ran out of an item.

As a side note, was Poll-making disabled for regular users? I don't see anything that allows me to do that.

I definitely hoard a lot of items (for explorations and otherwise), but the only real issue is that I never really run out of items because I keep finding them. People as active as I am tend to more than make up for what they use by taking advantage of the Underground, hatch items, etc.

That said, it's not a bad idea for perhaps more relaxed players who may not have tons of things on hand. If it were a thing on the site, I'd want to be able to select which items are running low.

Also, when would you get the notification? Right after you use the item that would result in having ten left over? Or during certain times of the day (reset, etc)? One issue is that people tend to ignore popup messages and such a lot.

If there is a time when it would be nice to get that notification, I would guess that one option is right after you fall below a certain threshold for the item(s) in question. Another option is to trigger the notification when the item is rotated into the shop, because that's kind of the time when you can actually do something about it. Obviously that would only work for the main shop and the prize shop, since it seems fair to not alert people when rare items enter the backroom. On top of this, it might be exceptionally useful to get the notification when that item is in the shop and there is a sale, since if you want to buy the item anyway, a sale seems like the time you would like to stock up on items.

You make some good points.

Would you want there to be a Merchant NPC that would talk to you for the notification, or just a general notification next to the item needed?

The notification showing up during sales would be very useful!

I actually think that this is really clever. I'd also like a toggle, though, that can hide that information as well since I don't really care about knowing how many items I'd have left.
